I almost gave up and was fuming inside, until I went to the Meeting Street location in hopes that maybe third time is a charm... and it was! I became a very happy customer and will be coming back to the Meeting Street location to purchase buckets once I figure out which colors to pick. I want to share how much I appreciate the associates at the Sherwin Williams in downtown Charleston for making my life much easier and better. Also, they have a free parking lot in the back!

Who needs half a gallon of paint for a sample? 5 samples from them cost more than 12 at Spectrum. When I asked about the sizes(why didn't you tell me?) they just said that is their sample size. Shitty. You know that is not what ppl are expecting. If you need paint samples go to Spectrum on East Bay and if you need SW specifically, go to Lowes where you will pay less and can get an actual sample. I learned my lesson trying to support local, small businesses and I won't make that mistake again. I'm renovating a whole house and need paint inside and out for the entire thing. I will make sure my painter does not buy from them.

He never judged me, but through asking me questions and listening to what I was looking, for he steered me into the direction of a much less expensive washing machine. Because that model actually met my needs. Because I'm a girl and I don't really know things he really could've ripped me off but he didn't. I really appreciate Steven, taking the time to walk me through all the different models and all the different features and helping me. I had even told him that I could not buy the washing machine today because again I'm just a girl and that my husband would have to come and help me buy the washing machine cause I don't know how to do things. Even though he knew, I wasn't going to buy that washing machine right then , he's still spent at least 30 minutes explaining everything to me. This guy. This guy!…read more Man ... where to begin ........ Ben Osborn, the owner and *brilliance* behind Eastbound Photography and Custom Framing is just awesome. "AMAZING" doesn't even begin to describe what he's done for us, and how fantastic he is. Though I've yet to use his framing services, personally- I've seen the work he does and I've also been lucky enough to see him in 'action.' From both experiences, I can honestly say that Ben is one of the MOST clever and artistic guys I've ever met or known in my entire life. Everything he creates is not only breathtaking ... but also PERFECT - down to one millionth of an inch. He is meticulous. The knack he has for detail could give even Bob Vila a run for his money. This is a hobby for him, but NOT *just* a hobby. He studies his craft, he puts every second of spare time into it, he goes to classes to learn and perfect. This isn't a money-making "scheme" for this guy. This is what he loves. And it SHOWS. I'm not sure he often does photography for people or families -- mostly focusing his spectacular talent(s) on scenery, landscapes, etc. But, he did it for us as a special favor. It was a very hot/humid day in the South Carolina sun, and he had lots of people in my family to photograph. And the MAJORITY of the people involved were young children & babies. Not one time during the (many) hours he spent taking our pics did he get frustrated or disheveled (and I am not too proud to admit that my 2 kids were NOT the most cooperative subjects in the world) :) -- nor did Ben lose his patience, smile, creativity, OR sense of humor (which is absolutely terrific, by the way.) If you DON'T laugh while spending a few minutes with Ben, you might need to check yourself. Because he WILL make you laugh. Ben clearly has a real eye for beauty and a very obvious talent when it comes to seeing the "simple" things ... that so many of us would take for granted or otherwise would just never notice. It really is something special to watch him in action. You can see by the look on his face and the twinkle in his eye that Ben has found his passion. :) It's a sight to behold! We are SO lucky to have experienced it for ourselves. And I look forward to having one of his works hanging in our home someday. Look OUT, Ansel Adams! :) And keep up the INCREDIBLE work, Ben Osborn! Northern Tool is a neat place to find the niche tool or part that you can't find at the bigger box…read morestores. It doesn't have the breadth of selection of Lowe's or home depot, but in has a much greater "depth" for what it does have. As an example, you won't find as many chainsaw options here as you would at Lowe's, but Northern Tool has the replacement filters, spark plugs, mufflers, etc for the equipment they do carry, which makes it an invaluable resource to the owners of things like Stihl chainsaws or blowers. It's pretty fun to just walk around and window shop. Workers are very nice and willing to answer any questions, and i think they totally understand the male desire to not ask for help ;)
