It was still covered under the Husqvarna warranty, and when I left it with them, I explicitly agreed to pay for diagnostics if the repair wasn't covered. About a month later, they called to tell me the carburetor needed replacement and that they had already ordered the part from Husqvarna. They never mentioned that the repair wasn't covered under warranty. I was told the repair would be done within a couple of weeks, so naturally, I assumed it was covered since they proceeded with ordering the part without informing me otherwise. Two months passed without any updates, so I called to check the status. They claimed there was a delay in getting parts, so I waited. Finally, after nearly 6 months, they called to say my blower was ready for pickup. When I arrived, I was blindsided -- they told me the repair wasn't covered by the warranty, and I was expected to pay out of pocket. I spoke with the Sales and Repair Manager, Gene Conley, who insisted that I had authorized the repair, citing a note in their system. The only call I ever received, though, was to inform me the part had been ordered -- nothing about the warranty status or potential costs. To make matters worse, when I expressed my frustration, Gene's response was shockingly unprofessional. He told me he didn't care if I left a bad review because they have "thousands of customers." I hope this review serves as a warning to others. Communication and customer service matter, and unfortunately, Johnson's Hardware completely failed on both fronts. Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere for your repairs.

They were unprofessional, unapologetic about their lack of knowledge, and completely entrenched in what is NOT possible (vice taking any kind of initiative to be customer-centric). Their communication skills were consistently underwhelming. After several delays, only half of my order arrived, and when I arrived to pick it up they proceeded to deny that the receipt I had was valid. I wouldn't work with these guys even if their products were free.

I only had a limited amount of time so I wanted to be sure they had it and called the store. I was put through to a clerk named Anthony. Anthony told me they did carry it and had it in stock. Since he answered without even checking stock, I was skeptical and asked him if "he was sure they had some". Anthony again told me they did have it in stock. I drove 35 minutes, I didn't have to spare, to their store. The first clerk didn't know what I was talking about. When I mentioned I confirmed with Anthony they had it in stock, he sent me to the back of the store to Anthony. As you can guess by now, they didn't have any. What's more, it didn't appear they never even carried it as there was no place where it had been . I was so angry. It was too late to get anywhere else thanks to their laziness and lack of customer service. I called the store a couple of days later and asked to speak to the owner but was told he isn't here. The clerk I spoke to implied, the owner is never there. I left my phone number and asked to have him call me. That was over a week ago...the apple doesn't fall from the tree, I guess. While overall, I have had positive experiences with Ace Hardware stores in the past, I won't be going back or recommending this one to anyone.

Thinking of buying a cellular vinyl fence? Do not use Walpole!…read more They are very pricey so you assume it will be a quality fence..after all it comes with a with a 25 year warranty right? I paid nearly $35,000 (this did not include installation which they do not offer in my area) for a fence to surround my patio. Sherwin Williams helped me to match the color of my house which was country red. When the fence arrived the color was perfect, if only the paint wasn't peeling off the gates. There were also tiny bubbles filled with water across the top of each gate stretching horizontally from one side to the other. Something clearly went wrong during the manufacturing process. Even the pickets on the fences were not finished properly with missing paint on the bottom of each. A professional painter (for which Walpole paid his $250 estimate) did his best, exactly following their instructions on sanding, primer, etc., however it is easy for anyone to see the imperfections. Sanding, which was necessary for the paint to adhere, removed the design details on the gate. I sent countless emails with no result. When the installer first saw the fence, he said get new gates. When the painter saw them he said you should get some money back. Apparently their warranty does not pay for manufacturing painting mishaps. I don't know of another company that would refuse to stand by their product, especially at these price points. If I had known there was no quality control inspection I never would have chosen Walpole. Buyer beware, find an alternative.
