She was knowledgeable, efficient, handling multiple customers; all with a smile. Well, I wasn't going to give a review until my most recent find on my pool equipment. Pool Care…read moreinc. came with the house I bought. 2021 was my first Summer with them. For the most part, they were good until this Summer 2024.Over time I had noticed that every time my pool was being shocked I was being charged $200. This Summer, I decided after the possibility of not being opened for Memorial weekend that I'd give the chemicals ago myself. I discussed it with my pool guy. There was some unclear remarks about the chemicals. But I told him I would always let him know what I was putting in the pool. I asked him if putting in my own chemicals would help save money and he said it should. On a particular week in June they told me they would be arriving in about 15-20 minutes. I asked him to please not put any chemicals in the pool. He said ok. I had shocked it the day before. When they were there. I watched them from my window putting a lot of chemicals in the pool. I walked outside upset to talk to them. I was clearly disappointed and asked them why they put it in when I asked them not to. They talked about bug spray and all types of things and I was dumbfounded, and they said they could leave if I wanted. I walked away and they left. He text me to call the office. On Monday KIM in the office told me that the guys thought I disrespected them and did not want to return to my house, Ever. This is what upsets me most. Had I been a man walking out and asserting my myself about my request not to put chemicals in the pool, been received differently? I think so. Now on to what I've most recently discovered. There is a valve that controls the flow of water through the drain and skimmer for the pump. This valve can be put on full drain, full skimmer, half-and-half or somewhere in between the two. Best to run a combo of both. The valve handle was broken and remained broken on full drain. Very hard to keep my pool clean when the skimmer is not running. I went to Westerly pool supply and bought a replacement handle. Thank you to them my skimmer is running properly. My skimmer was working property last year as I would go out in between Pool care visits and empty it. Either they broke it last year while closing the pool or this year after our disagreement. I've now hired a different pool company to open and close the pool and because everything I've become quite good at maintaining my own pool properly.

This is just another example of the poor customer service and the total lack of courtesy from Riverline. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! RUN!!! These people are the…read moreabsolute worst. I had used them to open and close my pool for several seasons and each year the quality of their service deteriorated but I wanted to keep giving them the benefit of the doubt. But this year they hit rock bottom. They were scheduled to open the pool on June 23rd-- pretty late in the season but I was okay with it. They arrived on 6/23, took the cover off... and left. Didn't put the extremely heavy cover (it takes at least two guys to lift it; I cannot do it on my own) in the bin where it always goes, just dumped it in front and left (see photo.) Far worse: they did NOTHING else. Did not clean the pool, test the water, ZILCH. I began frantically calling them to see when they'd be back and got NO answer. It went straight to voicemail every time and every email I sent went unanswered; never a reply. Finally I came home to work the first week of July to see the water-- which had become a murky green swamp as I frantically begged them to come back-- was now a cloudier color, as if shock had been added, but still a filthy mess (see next photo.) Went and looked and someone had come and dropped chlorine pellets into the skimmer baskets-- but hadn't even emptied the actual baskets which were JAMMED with debris and therefore no chemicals could even begin to circulate. Why would anyone working in the pool industry not empty dirty skimmer baskets as their very first step? But that's far from the worst part. I walked over to the pool equipment to see if maybe at least the filter chamber had been cleared and not only had it not been cleared-- water was shooting out of the filter valve that was now cracked and from a hose that was split. These guys had shown up and not only did nothing-- they made things WORSE. You can imagine the number of phone calls and emails that ensued. I was literally BEGGING them to please get back to me. It was now July 10th-- I had no pool for the entirety of the Fourth of July Weekend and literally no one would ever, EVER get back to me. This is a company I used for years and I couldn't even receive the courtesy of a return phone call? I couldn't even get an email? This is completely unprofessional to say the least but also, honestly, just grossly negligent and incompetent. In the end, a different company saved the day and it cost me THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS between the deep cleaning and equipment repair (new valve, new hose, labor, etc.) to fix the mess Riverline created. These guys are to be avoided AT ALL COSTS-- or else, trust me, it will cost you. I am now about to pursue them in small claims court to recoup the $$$ I am out, that's how mad I am (and I've never sued anyone in my life.) The thing is: if your company is having issues (staffing, scheduling, etc.) how hard is it to just call someone back and say "We're really sorry but we're swamped and we're down a guy and can't make this happen"?? HOW HARD IS THAT? These jerks are rude, and they're wrong. Don't use them, you will absolutely regret it, sooner rather than later.
