In placing my order for a Tricorn black paint with Bill, he was mindful enough to explain what to do. The Tricorn black would be used to repaint the front door of my home, and Bill took the time to explain that it was necessary to paint the interior door sections first due to the thickness & sheen of the paint composition. Bill didn't say much upon picking up the paint during curbside delivery, which was ok. The paint quality turned out to be better than expected after adding the 2nd and 3rd coats. Though its not cheap, the paint itself is not ridiculously expensive either. If you want quality, be expected to pay quality pricing. The same goes for vice versa- that is if you want water colors that are good for either Easter eggs, or Earl Scheib paint jobs on cars. Sherwin-Williams is certainly the former.

He tried to tell me that I brought it in that way. Hmmm.. Nope, I would've had a trail of paint coming into the store.. I just asked for another can and they said they didn't have one. So, he put a piece of tape over it. I should've walked out. But my painter needed it asap. I went to pay and he overcharged me by $50.. When I told him that I had called ahead he said he had just put the information in the computer and never made the paint. If you can't do it, just say you can't do it. I found this out, of course, when I was half way through painting a room. I mentioned it when I bought another quart to cover the streaks and they basically said that shouldn't have happened, but there was nothing they could do. I went back to buy another quart for touch-ups of a different color--a deep blue. In the middle of a stroke, hello red. This is the kind of trouble that can't be fixed with a refund. I have to restart, and it has already cost me my time. Do yourself a favor and drive to another Sherwin Williams or better yet, just start with a competitor where you can watch them mix the paint.
