Really a nice little shop, super clean, well lit and lots of nice product. My wife went there to buy a very specialized fertilizer for her organic growing. While at the shop, I noticed he had not only built the building recently, but also did organic based yard service mowing, aeration, fertilization, compost, compost tea, leveling all sorts of services. I wanted to do aeration for quite some time, but it's just been difficult finding either a location that would rent the equipment or finding someone to do it without charging a small fortune. I'm probably outside of his service area but not terribly far from the shop. Nothing a small modest fuel surcharge wouldn't cover. Still economically viable. While at the shop I let him know I was interested and he suggested that I go on the website and fill out a service request to get a formal quote. I provided aerial photos of the yard, and some quality of the current grass. We determine that a full aeration of my lot, which is roughly an acre, an application of the compost tea, and a full mow edge and weed-eat would be a great start to spring. I got that scheduled and unfortunately that day came and it was raining. It was really convenient to push it off a few days and the weather was beautiful. We got it done in a couple of hours, it was a very painless process. One thing that I noticed is he has all brand new equipment so that means no breakdowns or delays in getting the service completed. The photo wasn't of anything bad or wrong, it was not misleading or a misrepresentation, it was a legitimate photo of the outside area of the location that she says is shared with a landscaping company, tho what landscape company I do not know. The reasoning stated to me was that the landscaping company didn't want the photo of their area published. The photo was of the locations surroundings just as any Google maps search would provide, so it's not anything that can't be seen anyway. It showed their "shared space" which being "shared" still makes it part of this businesses space which serves as sort of a parking area. The rating on this review is based on the point of contact by the owner to manipulate the initial review by requesting removal of a photo that is a true representation of what is surrounding the business, part of their "shared space", this removes what is also a visual to allow others to find this out of the way place that is not on any main road. I don't feel it is appropriate for a business to private message a Yelp member for the sole purpose of manipulating what is on the review.

We have shopped here for a good while and spent a good deal of money at this nursery. They have a good variety and have had good success with our plants. We purchased 3 shrubs (plant in ground) and 3 plants (container) to go around our pool. Within 30 days, despite our effort to help them, they started to brown and drop leaves. We continued to try and help them rally but they continued to die. At about 60 days we took them back to find they only offer 7 day return policy. No store credit, no refund--nothing. This was a total of $200 gone. We have never been told of their policy for returns, it's "on the receipt". All other places we have bought from have a return of 6-12 months. We were shocked and saddened to see their response -- which we were told is because we hand water, no irrigation system and therefore had zero chance of any form of return service. We will not return and hope this helps others not make the same mistake as us.

That promise (and my love for those two trees) was the only reason I agreed to move forward and let them hold the trees on my card. HOA said no. I came back expecting a simple resolution... and instead got a full rewrite of reality. Olivia wasn't there, and the staff immediately insisted there was "no way she would've said that." One employee chimed in, "I trained her myself," followed by questions about whether I "saw all the no-refund signs." The manager doubled down with, "I really don't believe she said that." All of this--despite having a witness that was standing next to me who heard the entire conversation. Let's call it what it was: not confusion... gaslighting. After things escalated, the owner came out, seemingly only after I mentioned disputing the charge. She agree to refund me--but not before trying to shush me, telling me to "be quiet or wait outside," and saying, "I'll refund your money and you can go buy your trees elsewhere." Nothing says "family business values" quite like dismissing a paying customer on the way out. The trees were beautiful, no doubt--but their integrity and respect wilted faster than a Texas agave in August. If you shop here, get everything in writing... because their word clearly doesn't take root. Better yet, don't.

Unlike other stores, you don't have to wait until the end of the season to enjoy discounts. Kirkland's makes it possible to enjoy special purchases right away, which has always kept me coming back. This time, though, something went very wrong. I had been eyeing a mirror for over six months, but it was out of my budget. However, eventually I knew Kirkland's would come through and offer one of their great sales. And I was thrilled when I received an email showing it at 50% off, 50% off, I couldn't believe it and couldn't wait to enjoy my mirror. While traveling outside, I discovered there was a Kirkland's nearby. Excited, I rushed to the store with the picture and SKU. To my disappointment, I was told the mirror was not part of the promotion or this particular item was only available online. Slightly discouraged but not upset, I decided I would just order it online. Unfortunately, because we were in a rural area, the wifi wasn't strong, so my daughter suggested we wait until we got closer to Alliance to complete the purchase and by then we discovered that it was indeed offered in the store. The promotion looked fresh, so I wasn't worried. But this is where the experience turned unexpectedly negative. I stopped by the Alliance Town Center location (9550 Sage Meadow Trail, Fort Worth, TX 76177), I was treated in a way that felt dismissive, unprofessional, and frankly, borderline discriminatory. When I walked in, no one was at the register. A clerk soon arrived with another customer, so I waited patiently. Another associate approached me, and I explained I was looking for a particular mirror. She discovered there were four in the back, but instead of simply resolving the matter, she repeatedly apologized without explanation, kept looking nervously toward other customers, and even whispered to the manager in a way that made me feel like I was being accused of something. I wasn't sure what was happening, but the whole interaction felt odd and uncomfortable. Eventually, I had the opportunity to visit with the manager and was able to explain what transpire with the other store. However, the manager told me the promotion had ended Sunday and had the other store simply rang up the mirror it would have shown 50% off. I understand promotions have deadlines and wasn't upset about a mistake. Situation, circumstances, mistakes happen. What upset me was the way I was treated: shuffled around, made to wait twice, ignored while other customers were checked out ahead of me, and I left with a sense that I was being handled rather than helped. As I was leaving, the one associate condescending remarked, "Well, you can purchase the mirror at full price," only to be hushed by the manager. I don't understand why it had to be that way. Maybe the staff were having a bad day, maybe they don't enjoy their work, but it was a terrible customer experience, and in my strongest opinion both the associate and the manager did not represent Kirkland's well. I still LOVE Kirkland's and will continue to shop there, but sadly, I'll now go out of my way to avoid that store. I am still hopeful that I'll be able to purchase the mirror someday, but this experience left me disappointed and disheartened.
