I was looking for some phlox and the plants all seemed to be mixed together so it was hard to find. The garden manager was friendly and told me they were sold out. Dang. I did pick up some seeds and deck cleaner. Prices on most items are more reasonable than other big box stores. This store is fairly popular and was crowded with shoppers. The lines were long to check-out, but moved quickly. I was in and out in 30 minutes. Parking is plentiful. I'd recommend going early morning to avoid the crowds.

Turns out the items had been stocked somewhere completely different, but he was able to track them down, and he even got me a different cart so I could more easily get them to my car. I know he was extra busy but taking the time to help reminded me that there are decent humans out here. Coincidence that Angel helped with a church project? You be the judge.

I bought 12 bags of fast set concrete from Lowes to set into 8 footers for a deck in Plainfield…read more Found I was short, so I bought 3 bags of fast set Quick-Crete from this store. The 12 bags I had poured had hardened enough to stand on by the time I got back, about 1 hour. Several hours after I poured 3 bags they were still soft as soup. The next morning I noticed they were still soft. I spoke to the manager "Ger-ette" he asked me sarcastically, "what do you want me to do?" I said I want a return or exchange. He said to bring the bags in. I said ok. Then he added narrative, unopened in the bag. I said how else can I realize that the concrete was bogus unless it was poured, do you want me to dig it out and bring the mess in? Then he denied me any type of refund or exchange. He mention every type of wise guy excuse to justify his denial. Reminded me of a classmate in business college that I outscored. I guess Ill let him punk me out of 3 bags of concrete. The moral of the story here summed up in two words for ya, Bad Business.

If you are of the female gender, you will be asked if you need help and get help. I know this because I personally took note of it in the store and who got help and who did not. This store is about 2 miles from me. I now spend the money in gas and drive by it and go 3 miles further to a box store and I get help. I filed a complaint with Ace corporate and was told many things by corporate Customer Care. I was told the regional manager and the district manager would get involved. That never happened. I have received no communication from this particular store.

I bought the Speed Queen TR5 which comes with a five year warranty. It is built with steel gears and transmission. It has a ceramic coating of the drum instead of plastic like everyone else does these days. It has no lid lock except during the spin cycle. My old Maytag which wore out after 7 years took five minutes to unlock after canceling the cycle. The Speed Queens do not connect to the internet. To me it's just more things that need maintenance. The TR5 is just a simple, strong, sturdy, commercial grade, laundromat quality washer. That's all I want. Wash my clothes for 20 years like they used to make them. This washer is just that. I walked in at 10 am, confirmed they had the machine in stock (23 were just shipped in which kind of proves it's the correct unit to buy), and made the purchase. The primary reason I chose Grand is because they use their own delivery people, not third parties like the big box stores do. Delivery was inexpensive considering they hauled off the old worn out machine. 100% satisfied.

After a bit of searching we were directed to this company who does in fact repair even our custom old screens. Hallelujah! It was easy to bring in the item as everything was taped for dimensions etc so there was no issue. Due to lack of employees and demand it took a bit longer than expected (plus the needed part had to be ordered) but they did a great job and were very professional. The price wasn't too bad and even though it was more than expected (Having wanted to do it ourselves) their price was reasonable. It worked perfectly in the window and looks better than new! They have a lot of other items and lots of glass items etc so I would for sure recommend them not just for something like our screen. If we need any done in the near future this is where we will be heading!
