I knew exactly what I wanted to buy after doing extensive research including appliance repairmen's recommendations on YouTube. I bought the Speed Queen TR5 which comes with a five year warranty. It is built with steel gears and transmission. It has a ceramic coating of the drum instead of plastic like everyone else does these days. It has no lid lock except during the spin cycle. My old Maytag which wore out after 7 years took five minutes to unlock after canceling the cycle. The Speed Queens do not connect to the internet. To me it's just more things that need maintenance. The TR5 is just a simple, strong, sturdy, commercial grade, laundromat quality washer. That's all I want. Wash my clothes for 20 years like they used to make them. This washer is just that. I walked in at 10 am, confirmed they had the machine in stock (23 were just shipped in which kind of proves it's the correct unit to buy), and made the purchase. The primary reason I chose Grand is because they use their own delivery people, not third parties like the big box stores do. Delivery was inexpensive considering they hauled off the old worn out machine. 100% satisfied. read more

Refrigerator delivered today. The installers were nice and the communication was very good. Shortly after they left strange noises started. Reached out to customer service, they tried to tell me the noise is "normal " . Later we tried the water dispenser and it barely worked, no ice in the tray after 10 hours. It's never good in the middle of a pandemic and close to holidays when your stove dies. After checking at several of the big stores and not finding any good options for stoves we were given a suggestion to try Grand Appliance and TV. I had been told it could be up to 16 weeks to get a stove in the current climate because of shortages. Despite loving take away and eating at my moms house this was not a pleasant thought! Upon entering the store I was immediately greeted and given individual attention. I have to say I loved the quiet atmosphere and the ability to look at appliances without being distracted by other items. It was obvious that the salesman knew their business and could talk about all of their appliances with ease and comfort. I have to say when we visited the big stores we were not impressed by the customer service nor people even being willing to answer simple questions. I have never proclaimed myself as a handyman so it was helpful at Grand Appliance to be able to ask my simple questions and get a thoughtful response. In the end the store manager answered questions both in person and via the phone which helped us pick out a scratch and dent stove. The price was extremely reasonable and they could deliver within a week which was a huge blessing! In addition to that they waived their delivery fee and haul away fee. Amazing! After the stove was delivered we had a few questions and were able to call the store and get more thoughtful answers and suggestions. I can't rate this store highly enough if you were looking for any appliances or advice on what best to purchase. We will definitely be returning if we have any need for appliances and will recommend them to anyone who asks! read more

We have a refrigerator that leaks all over our hardwood floors,l even after multiple "techs" coming to look at it and replacing parts. Our microwave was installed incorrectly and only hanging by one screw in our cabinet! The "tech" said the whole microwave needed replaced because it was all ruined inside and that we would receive a call within the next two days about it. We called today since they never called us and they do not care at all. They want to put a big wingnut on it and ruin my cabinet space. This company is the WORST. The store itself is well-located and well-stocked. On December 2, 2020, I was able to purchase the appliance I wanted with no trouble. Even better, installation and delivery were scheduled for just two days away. Unbelievably though, it was six weeks (January 15, 2021) before I was able to use my cooktop without it filling the room with smoke and setting off the smoke alarm. It took Grand's installers five trips to install a Jenn-Air range in the same spot two previous Jenn-Air ranges had been. On each trip, the installers (even the "custom installer" team who came twice) only looked for the quick answer and did not make sure things were working correctly. It finally took a visit from a non-Grand appliance repair team to verify that that problem was the incorrect installation and a restricted airflow because of it. And, in the middle of a pandemic, on the final trip, although I was masked, the installers did not even wear masks. I appreciate that the sales manager, Patrick, was great to work with and that he took each of my complaints seriously and followed up on them by contacting the installation department each time. I feel if he had not been so responsive that I would still have a non-working appliance. However, I do fault the installation department: you charge extra for difficult installations and if you do not want to do them, then do not carry those products in your store. If I could, I would rate the store and the sales team a five and the installation team a zero. I advise anyone wanting more than a simple "here it is, we will plug it in, and haul away the old" installation to think twice. read more

Bought an LG dishwasher 02/18 fast forward to October. The dud washer quit. Grand appliance subs their LG repairs out to A&E factory. Having A&E has proved difficult and Grand will not take any ownership, after they took the cash. The Tech came out today, 11/11/19. he installed the parts and as luck would have it, the wrong part. As the tech stated "frustrated for him as well to chase parts". I am not sure who scheduled the repairs, at the same time the A&E tech showed today, a Person from Mid-America called and said he was out to show and repair the dishwasher. I should also had the part the tech installed today is not even the same color. Poor customer service. Another Part arrived today, wrong again. Our daughter, who recently came out of the military, bought a little house in Indy near Avon. The gas range in the house is from the 50's! A week after she bought the house, the oven stopped working (go figure). So, we went on a hunt for a reasonable gas range for her as a surprise. We saw the ad in Sunday's paper for Grand Appliance in Avon. We decided to go take a look at the store and were SO happy we did! The store is BEAUTIFUL. There are so many choices for so many products. They also have a clearance section too. Our salesman, Patrick, was AWESOME. He pointed us in the right direction, showed us a few choices and then let us look around. We found the perfect gas range in the clearance section at a GREAT price! Also, their delivery, installation and removal fees are much more reasonable than any other store (i.e., Lowe's, etc.). We purchased the store on Thursday and they delivered the next Monday. I needed a stove before Thanksgiving. I understood it was too late for that. However Thinking Victor was more than happy to help and explain everything to me. I thought he had my best interest at heart. I wrong. After two weeks without a stove since my other stove went out before Thanksgiving I was promised to have a stove Friday the 13th. I was okay with that. I was charged 39.99 for a guy to come out and check to ensure everything was okay for installation that was to take place in the 6th of December. I did not receive a phone call stating what time they would be there. When it was in the afternoon I finally called. I found out salesman moved to different store. Oh so sorry it won't be necessary for them to come out. I said then you won't need to change me 39.00. The salesman said I will see what I can do. The salesperson then adjusted that. I was not charge. No apology. I had to take day off. Then on Friday December 13 my stove was to be delivered. At 1030 delivery guy called and said the loaded the wrong stove he thought and would call me back. No phone call for 2 hours. I called store to find out salesman has been transferred to different store. I explained to that person asking to speak to manager. Was to no manager was at the store. I then called cusTomer service. The gentleman said he would call me back after checking things over about delivery. No phone call. I then called store in Avon where my salesman had moved to asking for manager and was told no manager was in charge was on day off. I explained to the salesman who said to call corporat. At which point I tried and he gave wrong number. After waiting a few more how's called back and was given run around again. I finally received phone call from my salesperson who was rude and condescending to me. He made a mistake in ordering the wrong stove which was a 1000 dollars in my favor. The sales person was angry he made a mistake never apologizing. The salesman stated I should be greatfully I'm getting a better stove because he made a mistake but I had to wait another week. I had to take another day off from work to make this work. I lost pay and had dinner plans and was having a party. He could care less and said I should be glad I was getting a better stove. Then said he had other customers to deal with not just me. After waiting another three hours to have this resolved. I called back again and he stated he was just getting ready to call me. I don't believe that. Again he started he would keep me in the loop. As of today at 410 no update. I will never order any product from the establishment. Poor communication and no guarantees. This store is a hidden gem - huge inventory in store (appliances, TVs, beds). Very knowledgable salespersons and no pressure sales. We were looking for all new kitchen appliances and had shopped around at big box stores, Costco and online. We decided on Kitchenaid. First the sales experience: Beth showed us some Kitchenaid options and helped me find EXACTLY what I wanted. She really knew her stuff regarding features and options, the difference between stainless steel finishes and more. Grand will price match and keeps the info very up-to-date in their computer. Beth told us about an upcoming sale that could save us even more, and made sure we could get both a Kitchenaid rebate as well as a Grand Appliances rebate, saving us an additional $700. Next the ordering: All four pieces were available in their warehouses (I found this incredible after waiting weeks for my previous dishwasher from Lowe's), and delivery was scheduled for 2 days later! Next the delivery: Grand uses their own in-house delivery/installation staff - no subcontractors. We were called the day prior with a 4-hour delivery window. They called on the way and arrive exactly in the middle of the window. The guys were great! They carefully protected my hardwood floors to prevent damage, removed my old appliances, installed and walked me through basic functions. They were so very careful to not get any dings anywhere. They even provided me with a delivery document that itemized all the serial numbers for the rebates. I cannot say enough about the whole process from beginning to end. Totally delighted! read more
