This Miner's Ace really features the nursery more than the hardware store. This season they have even reduced prices so that they are competitive with some of the big box stores. They had a whole section of Christmas trees in the back aa well as poinsettias. I decided that seed packets would make nice very small gifts for some secret Santa friends and Ace has a huge selection very reasonably priced from about three dollars to six dollars. I also scouted out some more Protea plants that I could add to the growing collection in my yard. They remind me of northern California and they're mostly grown in Monterey Bay, but they do very well here. They were also having some hardware and nursery items on double clearance so it was well worth checking out the side aisles for these sales

He always greets me with a big smile and willingness to assist, even when, admittedly, he is "still learning about this department." What I enjoy most about Blake is his DESIRE to really make my experience top-notch. He helped me in Millworks, sold me a Mesh-work custom screen door. Got it installed two days ago and am beyond pleased!! Then, today, I needed some concrete paint, gritty so no one slips, made just a touch darker, so it could match a previous project. Without hesitation he told me, "let me add a little color to what you already have, give it a good shake, and I bet you'll like it." We did, and, as he suggested, it's PERFECT! I initially agreed, but after that I could never get anyone to return my calls or provide updates. The customer service was extremely frustrating. Out of curiosity, I searched for the door online and was shocked to find the exact same door available for $726, on their website, delivered to my home. At that point, I canceled the order, purchased the door myself, and hired a local handyman who completed all the work--including installation--for just $550. Matt, the salesperson, was pleasant to work with, but beyond that my experience was very poor. Between the lack of communication, poor customer service, and inflated pricing, I cannot recommend using Home Depot for door installation. I would strongly suggest shopping around and getting other quotes before making a decision.

We are EXTREMELY happy with the results of our project! We used Tinoco to repaint the interior walls, doors, baseboards, built ins, and ceilings in our entire home. They also did an absolutely fantastic job at flooring installation of our luxury vinyl plank flooring, as well as the removal of the existing tile that was in the house previously in some areas. We wanted the project done on a pretty fast timeline and Ray and his team made sure that that happened! They kept in constant communication with us and collaborated with us on our plans, budget, and overall aesthetic choices so that our home truly felt like our home when it was finished--and, I am SO happy to say that it does!! On an additional side note, I will say that not only did we enjoy working with all of them. But, we had several neighbors mention to us that they were lovely and completely respectful in not wanting to bother other neighbors with additional noise or issues during the remodel. We will definitely be using them in the future for some other projects we have planned and are already looking forward to it! Jan 2026 Update on the painting of my daughter's kitchen cabinets in Atascadero. They were new…read moreinstalled wood cabinets. To be painted white. The cabinets cannot be cleaned as the paint will rub off if you attempt to clean them. It's very disappointing. There are no sealer clear coat layers of polyurethane over the paint so it is not protected for kitchen application. These cabinets will ultimately need to be stripped and refinished.
