For quite some time now I have been getting great service from this Hardware store in particular from Paul who was not in this morning. Instead I met Mark who did a heck of a job. I brought my badly damaged beach umbrella pole in to size up the necessary screws I would need to reconstruct the piece of **### and fortunately for me Mark did NOT leave me to my own devices. He took matters into his own hands and I left the store a very happy camper probably until the next time the piece of (you know what) folds up when it isn't suppose to. I ended up getting six placemats, some cat toys and some stickers. However, I was charged for nine placemats and didn't notice until I was already on my way back home to Brooklyn, NY. I usually check my receipts, but that time I didn't and got overcharged by about ten bucks. It's not worth driving almost two hours to get a refund though. Live and learn.

There is a whole carousel full of furniture knobs. Tess Home stocks an alternative to Annie Sloan Chalk Paints (Fat Paint, which has an awesome color called "Parchment") and wax (Fiddes brand). I love the Fiddes wax that I purchased from her. It is so much easier to use than the AS brand. Tess, if that indeed was Tess, (I did not inquire), spent time showing me some of the chalk painting techniques that she uses. Offered advice freely and in a very friendly manner. She encouraged me to take pictures, unlike the proprietor of the less friendly shop right down the street. Definitely go visit this shop! Truly adorable!

Had my appliance issue not been favorably resolved by the installer, I was fully prepared to sue. My development uses Jamesburg Hardware for appliance replacement and has done so for many years. I have contacted my development's management, informing them of my horrible experience with Jeff Clayton, and asked them to consider NOT using Jamesburg Hardware in the future. As a customer, I expect to be treated with dignity and respect and not yelled at, patronized, or belittled. How I was treated is not the way to conduct business and retain/add customers!
