As part of a Highlandtown Community Service Project effort, I stopped in to ask Budeke's if they had any pallets to donate to the cause. Chris, whom I spoke with, was super friendly and offered us free stain and pallets - as many as we could grab - and as many as Budeke's had on hand. I was so impressed and blown away by their charity. Thanks to budeke's we were able to construct tree pit guards along Highland Ave. to preserve the trees and keep trash out. I went back and was one of two customers in there and with three employees no one bothered to even say hello or ask me if I needed anything. I stood there at the counter and just waited, no response. One employee was walking around eating something and the other one sat on a stool and stared into space while the third worked on the register in front of me. I need paint but I'll go elsewhere.
