SW recently discontinued their Harmony No VOC paint and and their rep sent me to Benjamin Moore since they have several No VOC paints to choose from at various price points. When I drove up at 2:30pm on a Monday the place looked closed. But as I walked up Tom Jr open the door for me and I quickly understood why they have such a high rating. This place is like the Cheers of Paint stores. They know their customers and they want to make sure you get what you need. I am very indecisive when it comes to paint and Tom Jr answered ALL my questions, gave me some things to think about and provided recommendations without any pressure to buy. The next day I called ahead to place my order, paid and everything was loaded into my trunk. Wow! This place is a whole vibe, if you need paint get it from here.

I had made a trip there two days prior and was introduced to there unique paint color matching system where you can bring any paint color from a different company into them, and they'll be able to match it! The three walls I was able to complete over the weekend turned out great! The employee who helped my wife and I was helpful in making sure we had everything we needed. Today's experience was a complete 180. I had the pleasure of working with Jimmy. It was very clear Jimmy was having a bad day. I can't blame him... who really does like Mondays. Jimmy was showing his frustration left and right when told by employees he gave customers the wrong paint color. Jimmy kept shouting he hadn't don't anything wrong and said they can deal with it since Clover green is close enough to what they asked for. Jimmy was also short with me when I tried to use my friends and family discount coupon for 25% off. He was struggling to figure out how to register the coupon in the computer so needed to call for assistance. When he finally was able to figure out how to do it, he said "well boy get your phone out". After I swiped my card to complete the transaction, the receipt as shown does not say a discount was applied. I asked whether it was and was abruptly told "well yeah it's a $50 bucket of paint". Jimmy may have been having a rough day; however, emotions aside a customer should never be treated that way.

I was greeted upon entry and I told the clerk what I needed. He explained my options for exterior paint and calculated how much paint I would need. PPG sells to contractors and non-contractors alike. I purchased 5 gallons or exterior paint, 1 gallon of primer for the section of replacement wood and a few samples of interior paint. Prior to this home project I purchased paint from Home Depot or Lowe's. Since I've "discovered" PPG, Sherwin Williams and Benjamin Moore, I will not be going back to HD or Lowe's for paint. The overall customer experience is better at the professional paint stores and the price is comparable or cheaper (with your painter's contractor discount) and the product is superior.

The checkout process was a breeze and they helped me learn and signup for their rewards program. I'm glad this is my neighborhood Ace Hardware. There is ample of parking besides the store. I am rarely on this side of town, but recently stopped here on the way back home in an effort to avoid the big box stores for a small item I need for a repair. Shep's turned out to be the exact place I needed it to be and I was able to scoop up what I was after and head home without stopping anywhere else! When you first arrive you may see parking as limited and street only, but given their location and attachment to the next door market, they share a covered parking garage that provides you plenty of parking! But if street parking is your thing, there is plenty of that as well. When I arrived, I was greeted immediately by an associate who promptly took me to the aisle I needed and helped me find the product. He was very friendly and helpful on the floor and then escorted me to the registers in the back to ring me up when I was ready. In between the goods and the register, I did walk around and explore a little and I was impressed with their selection of items, the flow of the store and the overall cleanliness as well. Overall, this is a solid neighborhood Ace Hardware. While it sadly not in my neighborhood, I certainly could see myself swinging back in if the need ever arises again, until then I will happily recommend Shep's to my friends in this area of town!

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Floor & Decor. I recently spent thousands of…read moredollars installing their "waterproof" LVP flooring throughout my entire home -- nearly 2,000 sq. ft., including the kitchen and bathrooms, exactly as their team recommended. Despite being assured the product was truly waterproof and appropriate for these areas, the flooring buckled, bubbled, and began trapping moisture shortly after installation. I had my insurance company inspect the issue, and they confirmed there were no leaks in my home. Their moisture reader showed that the flooring itself was holding water, and when it was removed, there was mold underneath -- a serious health hazard. Because mold is dangerous to breathe, the flooring had to be removed immediately. Yet when I contacted Floor & Decor for support under their lifetime residential warranty, I was told the warranty was voided simply because the flooring was removed -- even though removal was required for health and safety reasons. To make matters worse, the representative handling my case (Matt) was dismissive, repeatedly cut me off, and refused to allow me to submit photos, proof of installation, insurance reports, or documentation. I was not offered any investigation, partial refund, or even the courtesy of reviewing my case. I trusted Floor & Decor, invested heavily in their product, followed installation guidelines, and now I am left with ruined floors, mold exposure, and no accountability from the company. This experience has been devastating, and I would encourage anyone considering their "waterproof" LVP to proceed with caution and thoroughly research their warranty limitations. I sincerely hope Floor & Decor reconsiders their customer service approach and honors the warranties they promote.

After talking to him about my project and showing him pictures of what vibe I was going for, he helped me pick out the floor tile (as seen in the picture) and it was PERFECT. I didn't even know it existed before he pointed it out! Arthur was so kind and patient, & really understood the design I was going for. He gave me his direct contact info in case I needed anything else, and so thoughtfully called to check on me and see if I needed anything else. I will definitely be calling him next time I need to do another renovation!

I needed a number of small pieces of 1/8" plexiglass cut for a project. I already had the…read moreplexiglass, and other Ace Hardwares I asked wouldn't cut them because I didn't buy them there. Understandable, but not what I wanted to hear. I called Chamblee Ace, and they said "Sure, you just pay for the cut." There were 14 8"x10" pieces I needed cut. Lance (I'm pretty sure his name was Lance) said it would take about an hour. A little over an hour later he called and said they were ready. How much did he charge me? $20. I was expecting to pay probably twice that. And the work was beautifully done, nice, clean, precise cuts. It's a little out of my way, but I'm going to Chamblee Ace for my hardware needs from now on.
