I am completely thrilled with the Regal Select paint in Edgecomb Gray. The color is beautiful but the quality of the paint is apparant. I had done a similar (Lowe's) color in an adjacent bedroom where I applied a primer and 2 coats of paint. With this paint the job was done in one coat. And the texture was clearly better. The furniture had to be redone using another paint mixture. Went online to find many bad reviews with same complaints. Why this continues to be recommended is beyond me. When i tried to return the full can of paint, giving the reasons why, there were no apologies and definitely no refunds. When asked if they could at least dispose it, the answer was no. She said that we should take a look at Ollie's. It's a discount shopping experience. There are all kinds of overstocked merchandise such as books, clothing, personal care items, pet supplies, gardening tools, snacks, beverages, greeting cards, children's toys, kitchen appliances, towels, linens, home decor items, etc. I found silicone gloves for cooking/baking, a shower caddy for my God daughter's bathroom, and gardening gloves for the beach clean up this weekend! It felt like a cross between Kmart, Rose's, Big Lots, Dollar General and your typical dingy little outlet store you see in 90s movies. The only thing I ended up with was a light blue bath towel. It's not bad, but I will admit that it's the only bath towel I own that had mystery stains on it after the first use. It's like it bleached itself. I didn't do anything different with it and it still rebelled for some reason. I'm not blaming Ollie's specifically, but it's still something to be aware of if you're in the market for one. Service wasn't bad during my visit. I would check other locations before I'd make a definite conclusion on the chain. However, in regards to this one?.. It's a "meh" at best.

Although they were a bit pricey, the quality and service made it feel worth it. Because of that, we hired them again to paint the exterior and interior of an investment property. Unfortunately, this time around was a major disappointment. After carefully selecting a soft, off-white color called "Casa Blanca," we were shocked to walk in and see the entire interior painted bright white--walls, ceilings, and trim. It turns out the painters misunderstood the color name as "white house" and painted everything white. A simple confirmation call or text would have avoided the mistake. To try to make it right, they offered to paint the bathroom (which I had originally planned to do myself). I placed the correct paint can by the door--yet they still painted the bathroom white. They did eventually come back to correct that error. There was also overspray left on the windows, which they did eventually come back to clean, but only after being asked several times. We chose not to have them repaint the entire interior, but it was disappointing. The lack of communication between the supervisor and the crew was obvious and frustrating. Sadly, we won't be using Showstopper Painting again. There are plenty of painters out there who charge less and communicate better. We expected the same great service as our first experience, but this second time really missed the mark.
