Inside it has more than average amount of paint swatches and collections of paint to help narrow down your colors. I went in a few different times and the guy working there was nice. They of course have tons of paint related items and I found it super helpful to buy the kits with foam boards and mini rollers so I could apply my sample paint to several large squares that could be affixed temporarily to my wall at home rather than paint all over my new drywall as we decided our colors. I have only two complaints- 1) the only sample size here is ridiculous- it's way to large, unless I plan on painting an entire wall to decide, I'm wasting paint and they are quite expensive compared to other smaller sized samples from other stores (and believe me, the cost adds up quick if you get multiple samples!) 2) we chose our color based on the formula on the sample, which when our painter got our paint, it ended up needing to be repainted due to the color being wrong compared to the sample. This was fixed later and figured out by our painter with Maine Paint and we were lucky enough that the second coat covered the wrong color well. The right color is beautiful. All in all I'd recommend the paint and give this location another go, but they appear to need to work on their mixing consistency. The color should be the same no matter which Maine Paint you go to and what sample you get!

Anyway, I want a gloss because it is a little tougher. He insisted that this is not so, and it shows imperfections, which I mentioned didn't matter to me. Since these arguments didn't work, he insisted that the paint that I wanted didn't come in gloss, that they'd have to add something to it, and this is not a good idea. I walked out, got the match I wanted at Home Depot.

When we enter the store, there always seems to be clustered chaos by the customer service desk, not sure why, but sometimes it's kind of in the way of guests trying to pass by. We have always had to try to find things on our own, but it would be nice if there was a staff member available to help for finding obscure things. We typically got to the Paint desk and that person has to radio for help. We wish the online product information for the local store stock was more accurate, but I know that may be hard to track in real time. We always use self-check out and the staff there is very attentive and on the spot to help and or clean the station after each use. It's a fine place to go if you're in the area.

First step in, I love it! Tons of people helping customers find what they are looking for. As soon as I walked in someone asked if they could help me with anything, and they quickly made my keys for me. I spent time picking out key covers and carabiners. I'm so glad someone told me about this place. It's much closer than driving to other larger stores and they had plenty of stuff! I also can't say enough good things about every one who works here.

Not only are the walls "white" (maybe they were 40 years ago), but some of them aren't in the best condition. Anyways, I decided to go with SW because they are close to my house and open on Sundays. They have coupons every month, so I don't think it's that much more expensive than other brands. I don't know for sure. The customer service has been wonderful here. My husband and I popped in right after we closed on our new home and we must have had the "first time home owner glow" on our faces as we grabbed 5 million paint swatches off the wall. One of the men working was kind enough to let us "borrow" one of the paint swatch booklet thingies, which I still have two months later. I swear I am going to bring it back once all of the rooms are painted! We've been here at least 3 times in the past three months and everyone who works at this store has been helpful.
