There's very little help with choosing materials, and when we finally did order, we drove 40 miles it pick it up, waited over forty minutes for someone to find it, got home, and realized several boxes of tiles were broken. They made right on that, but wouldn't ship it to us, so we had another trip to the store. Than, when we got to the point of install, we realized the tile was a different color than the sample. We were outside a thirty day window at that point, though we never received any paperwork stating any problems had to be addressed in thirty days (when we ordered, we did it by phone). Essentially, they said too bad, and even if there was a problem with the material itself, we would get charged 25% restocking fee plus freight. We asked that they call the tile rep because we felt it was a dye lot problem. They said they would but never did. Just really horrible service all around and they refuse to back up their products.

This, fortunately, was our experience this past weekend. We came in with our sights set on painting a number of rooms in our house. The colors are all arranged in different pallets so it made choosing a lot easier, the actual number of choices seemed pretty endless and the employees are incredibly helpful. They helped us pick out some really nice color schemes for different rooms, made some really nice recommendations on the different types of paint that were available, and overall it felt like they were really trying to help us get a good deal rather than just sell us the most expensive can of paint. They also helped us out with getting a number of paint supplies, again making sure we were saving money where we could. On a side note, my better half and I have both decided that we want to figure out who gets to name the paint colors. We're not sure what goes into the decision to name something mermaid blue or graceful beige, But whatever it is it seems like a lot of fun! The quality of the paint here versus what you find in the big box type stores is definitely higher and we were glad that we came here based on our experience. They have pretty frequent sales where you'll get 30 to 40% off, so brings the prices down substantially. It's weird to have a "paint store" but after our experience here, this one will be ours!

Terry knew what we were looking for and told us to give the cashier his name when we were done so he could make us a key so it matched our old set. The physical footprint of this place is much bigger than the previous location down the street, it has expanded sections of everything from grills, to painting supplies on the way to a large section for home breweries. Well it's not something that I do, it certainly isn't getting less popular and it's great to have a spot in town to get everything that you need. If you're looking for "For Sale" signs, those are located in the back right corner of the store. Those are what we came for and those are what we left with! The workers are very helpful and like most of the Ace Hardware is in the area, the employees ready to help you find whatever you need. This is a great use for a building that said open for a long time, and I for one am glad that they're here!
