After driving and seeing most all the natural sites, forest trails and beaches in the area in the morning and early afternoons, we were returning from Fort Bragg and decided to follow the signs to Garcia's River Casino for some nightlife. There were only six cars in the parking lot. Walked in and they had a slot tournament ending in 10 minutes, so we played and I won first place! With my more play, we sat next to each other on two machines and had a ball! Both machines kept giving us bonus rounds and terrific combinations. It's a very small casino, and a different activity for us for the week. But it sure was fun! It doesn't compare to LV or other casinos, but gave them 3 stars because we had a great time playing their machines. For us, It was definitely worth a stop.

It was a hundred degrees outside. Outside was the only seating available. We walked through the air conditioned restaurant with many open tables outside into the heat. The flies were horrible. We sat down and waited a very long time before our server came by. Turns out they only had two servers, no busboys, and only one person serving the meat. The salad and the potatoes were pretty good. The meat was crap. Everything they served was overcooked, chewy, and not very flavorful. Flies were getting into everything. Outside where the meat was cooked the flies were walking on everything. They had some shrimp that didn't taste right. I wouldn't even feed it to my dogs. This was a total waste of sixty bucks. Dinner didn't even come with a non alcoholic drink. I don't know how this place stays in business.

Unfortunately, it was seven hours away, so no one wanted to drive that far at night. Since my man happily considered driving the four of us if we could stay somewhere in between, I frantically looked on Orbitz while we texted back and forth where we could stop off. Woo hoo! Score! I found this charming motel with an old "Western" theme. The office was closed when we arrived around 11 pm, but a window was open to check-in. The woman who helped me was friendly and welcoming. I was surprised she wasn't grouchy since it was late! I'm so glad there was a room available with 3 beds!! The girls always fight when we're away on vacation since they hate sharing a bed. The room was spacious and spotless! There was a microwave that we didn't use and a fridge that kept our food and drinks cold. We were given breakfast vouchers at Lumberjack's for both days we stayed. Five dollars for each person! What an awesome deal!! Thanks, Orbitz!

Staff has been above and beyond nice/kind all that I have made contact with. As you can see, the place isn't crowed at all, and they haven't said a word about taking two sites, visitors parking next to the site we're in, no extra car fees...none of that nonsense. I will post later, I haven't entered the restroom, Laundry Room of exercise room, I will post later. Being in my RV, I don't need to use the restrooms or showers, I have the amenities inside the rig!!! In short, if you're in the area, please stop by and check this place out.

I told my husband, even before I'd tasted them all, that there was no way I'd buy any of this wine, no matter how good it was, because the service was dismal. Though the grounds and building are beautiful I was so disappointed. I do not think we will stop here again.
