My husband and I were enjoying our Friday night at Running Creek. We wanted to stay a little later and become hungry so we decided to order some chicken strips from the cafe. They served 3 chicken strips over fries. I ate two chicken strips while my husband started on the fries. He then took a bite of his chicken and thought it tasted bad and spit it out. Come to find it was raw. I then walked up to the cashier and told her the situation and showed her the raw chicken. she asked if I would like my money back or another chicken strip. I told her no thank you but would like some kind of documentation that this incident took place in case my husband gets sick. She said, "no problem I will write some up". Nothing happened so I asked for a manager. The manager came out went directly to her kitchen staff and had a conversation. The manager approached me and told me it was our fault that we ate the raw chicken. She also told me I yelled at her cook and threatened to Sue. Two other managers came out who were only concerned about us suing them than our welfare. In fact they told me that we threatened to Sue them so we had to leave. They then escorted us to the door and banned us. They never once said they were sorry or gave any sympathy to the fact that my husband may become ill. They did not show any signs of caring about our well being. They made us feel terrible. They're only concern was that they may be liable for giving a customer food poisoning. It was like a nightmare. I felt like I could wake up any minute. NEVER going back. Yelp makes you put at least one star. Otherwise I would not.

$10 for a prime rib dinner! It was well cooked and came with au jus, creamy horse radish, yummy veggies and potato of choice (I had a baked potato). It was a really generous portion, too. Service was friendly and quick. :)

Fun night here starting with our prime rib dinner which was delicious and we had a good server who also brought us drinks. On the way out I played a 10 cent machine and hit a sweet jackpot then we immediately left. On Fridays, you can go to the buffet for 19.95 which includes prime rib or get the prime rib dinner for 9.95. I didn't feel like overeating and making myself sick so we opted for the dinner. The place looks like s big tent from the outside but doesn't seem like that on the inside.

This was my second time stopping in at the Running Creek Casino and grabbing a quick meal. It's a nice casino and restaurant in Upperlake, CA right in Rt20. The staff seems friendly and attentive. It's owned by a local Native American tribe, the Habematolel Pomo. I had lunch a few months ago when in town and stopped in this morning to try breakfast. I had the biscuits and gravy breakfast special and it was fantastic. Great portion size and was very affordable. Coffee seemed generic, perhaps they should offer up some specialty brews being so close to the northwest region of the country. I didn't play any in the casino but they appear to have a good variety, the only thing missing was lodging and perhaps a sports book or something unique to draw more visitors and give them a place to stay.

The all you can eat crab, is clean and tasty . Service is good , price is fair . I can eat a lot of crab Let's get crackin on Friday nights ! Plus I won 1300 bucks after dinner one night ! read more

Running Creek has failed me once again. Tonight was Brazilian BBQ night at $60 per person. Our reservations were for 6:00PM and it happened that we were experiencing a heat wave. It was a hundred degrees outside. Outside was the only seating available. We walked through the air conditioned restaurant with many open tables outside into the heat. The flies were horrible. We sat down and waited a very long time before our server came by. Turns out they only had two servers, no busboys, and only one person serving the meat. The salad and the potatoes were pretty good. The meat was crap. Everything they served was overcooked, chewy, and not very flavorful. Flies were getting into everything. Outside where the meat was cooked the flies were walking on everything. They had some shrimp that didn't taste right. I wouldn't even feed it to my dogs. This was a total waste of sixty bucks. Dinner didn't even come with a non alcoholic drink. I don't know how this place stays in business. read more

I went there for the all you can eat crabs. It's crabs only not all you can eat seafood. It's ok but not crazy about it. It's not busy. Lots of empty tables. Server is good. He will bring another half crab before I finish the other one. read more

Itty bitty little casino. So quiet in there. Nit too many gamblers when we arrived Feb 2924 on a Friday at 4:30pm. Clean. The bar was closed for renovation (shucks). They have all you can eat crab and shrimp Fridays and Sat is prime rib night. Havnt tried either of those yet. read more

Tried to give Running Creek a second chance which turned out to be a mistake. While playing a slot machine betting $2, I hit a bonus round that gave me 20 spins. Their slot gave me a total of $9 in the bonus round after betting $2. Same scenario on a different machine. Betting $1.76 - bonus game paid under $7 !!! I WON'T BE GIVING MY MONEY AWAY HERE ANYTIME SOON. MAYBE AFTER ALL OF US GO DOWN THE STREET THINGS WILL CHANGE BEFORE THE DAMAGE IS IRREVERSIBLE. J.S. read more

WTAF. We ate dinner at wild Creek I bought bottle of wine and at the end asked for a bag to go. I was told I had to drink it there. I stuck the bottle in my purse my husband decided to stay and play black jack. So I asked for a wine glass to finish my bottle. The pit boss was walking around and asked where I got the wine from and who's bottle is that on the trash can. Maybe they have$10 blackjack tables but their hospitality sucks read more

The food served in the fine dining hall is the best on the lake in my opinion. Clean, efficient, every order cooked to perfection. Fabulous steaks and seafood. I've tried just about everything at Running Creek and everything is delicious. Definitely my favorite restaurant in Lake County hands down. read more

My husband and I were enjoying our Friday night at Running Creek. We wanted to stay a little later and become hungry so we decided to order some chicken strips from the cafe. I like the casino had fun playing the penny slots we had breakfast here for the first time the wait to even get coffee and a drink from the bar forget it I have been here three times now and they never have enough server it seems really slow bad service the breakfast food was good better then expected we have been here for the all you can eat crab being that you never see your sever it's not much of a deal this could be a great place maybe they need a new manager read more

running creek did a wonderful "octoberfest"! servers were all decked out in german attire. food was very authentic and a variety of german beers. chairs in casino were definitely spread out!! machine & chair given a detailed sanitizing when anyone left a machine! outside decorations and inside were fun! and holiday oriented. masks and temperature check to get into casino. read more

The food is generally good however I once had pasta that was inedible because it was so greasy. I went there on my birthday and was told that the special for birthdays was spend 10.00 then get 10.00. Afterwards I checked my mail and had 10.00 free without any stipulation of spending 10.00. I talked to the manager and they refused to put the birthday money on my card stating I already had it. Since I had to pay for it that kinda cancels it out. I wonder about there math ability's? As for gambling it's generally pretty tight a lot of the time, but have won some. Customer service is lacking and that is often where problems arise. It's pretty clear they have communication issues between management and customer service. They offer s nice lunch free once a year and that's nice. read more

Don't party!!!!!!! So tonight 2-10-18, I came in and we were having a good time. Singing with the DJ playing a great songs,and we were told we were being to laud. Now I go there three nights a week buy dinner and buy my drinks. Spend 250 a week. My Wife puts about 90 plus a week into the machines. The one male bartender will ignore you if you tease back, and can't get a drink. What happen take care of the customers. Maybe this Bartender shouldn't tease if you can't take it. You go on vacation and you come back grumpy and take it out on the customers and other employees. The night before there was a woman that was saying F*ck You and B*tch every other word and security was not around to kick her out. But singing is not aloud? You just lost my Business. read more

I felt the need to update an old 1 star review I gave a few years back. Hubby and I went in for an early dinner, excellent food. Clam chowder was yum., chicken yum,, Hubby,s fish and chips also yum. I generally like this casino. I was looking forward to trying their seafood buffet for a while now and am greatly dissapointed. For one it's too expensive $25 each person. The selection is very limited and there needs to be more options. Highly saddened by this outcome will not go back. read more

This is a review of the Wildfire Grill, which is the restaurant inside Running Creek casino. I've been here a number of times already and was very pleased with each visit. They've got a nice menu that includes gourmet pizza, steak, fish and all the regular things you'd find at a nicer place. What you'll be surprised at isn't necessarily the selection, but the quality and the pricing. I've gone and just had their $5 salad which, logic dictates, would leave me wanting a meal. Not in this case - the $5 salad had fresh greens, caramelized walnuts that tasted as if they had done them themselves and other treats that you would never expect for such a bargain. The salad is huge. Lately I've been going for the $15 porterhouse steak which covers a good portion of the large plate. On the side are nicely-prepared veggies and you get a bread basket too. The deal with this is that you get $5 in gambling credits with this steak reducing its effective price to $10. For a decent steak! The restaurant doesn't smell like smoke at all despite smoking being allowed in the casino and it's beautifully decorated - probably the nicest looking establishment in the whole area. The staff is very friendly and is prompt and the restaurant is even open 'till 11 - that's later than any other place in the county I believe. The Wildfire Grill is absolutely worth a gamble, even if gaming isn't your thing. I would call this a sure bet. read more

This is a review of the Wildfire Grill inside the Running Creek Casino. I don't know where they got their chef, but, they made one heck of a hire. The menu is very nice, with a good variety of fish, fowl, and beef, as well as some wonderful-sounding gourmet pizzas. The quality and presentation of their food is outstanding! I chose the lamb chops, and they were fabulous. The restaurant itself is very nicely decorated, and the staff is very friendly and attentive. We highly recommend you stop in for a meal. read more

Went there for breakfast and the service was horrible! Sat there for 20 minutes before we got water and coffee then sat around another 20 minutes before we walked out because no one came back to take our order....there was only ONE other table of four in the entire restaurant so I can't cut them any slack because they were NOT busy!!!!! read more

This review is about the restaurant Wildfire and the buffet on Friday nights - Not worth the time and defiantly NOT worth the money!! Staff was nice. They now charge you extra for the seafood that used to be included in the price!!! So now you pay $20 for prime rib and $8 for 1 pound of crab legs. Which is about 2 oz. of meat!!! Worth the money - NO!!!!!!!! read more

Went looking forward to a buffet only to find out it's just two days a week for a few hours. However, the prime rib special is a steal for only $10. Great service all over from what I saw. The casino is clean and there were plenty of machines to play. Blackjack was limited to one table on a Thursday night with people waiting for a seat. No poker to be found in the private three table poker room. read more

I don't usually like casino food. One reason you have to walk through a smokey casino to get to their restaurants. I had my birthday dinner here with 3 others. It was a very good experience. The service was on spot, and moved forward from the greeting, the seating , the drinks , the order taking, the first course, the dinner and the dessert, with bread refilled and tea refilled in a on spot manner. GOOD SERVICE. The meal I had the salad made from heirloom tomatoes and the mozzarella with balsamico and pesto was sooo excellent. Never have a enjoyed an appetizer. Caprese was the name. I had a Delmonico blackened Steak which was good and tasty as well. I had a thick piece of chocolate cake which was delicious as well. Not a lot of good places to eat in Lake County, so this ones a keeper. Will try it out again. i wonder if their buffet for seafood is good? Will have to give it a try. read more

Been here a little over a year ago for the buffet and they had crab legs, korean short ribs, and shrimp cocktail. We also were served rolls at the table. However they only offer sad clams, mussels which were ok, and fried and coconut shrimp (can barely taste any coconut). As we were checking in I asked about the optional seafood tableside that they mention on their website and advertising for the buffet. I was laughed at and told they stopped that a year ago. False advertising at its finest. The buffet is filled with salads, pasta, some random asian food, the limited shellfish, and prime rib. For $20/person it isn't worth the money. The prime rib dinner is $8.99 and seems like the better option as the prime rib was the only good thing on the buffet and you get rolls brought to your table as well. When we got up to grab another plate of food in an attempt to make the buffet price worthwhile they began clearing our table. We got back just in time before they were giving our seats to someone else! They finally brought over our place card to notify the staff that the table was still occupied. The waitress was friendly and attentive which was a plus. The casino is filled with penny machines and I couldn't find any of the traditional one lined nickel or quarter machines which was disappointing. Only played a few machines before deciding to just cash out and leave, they weren't giving out any wins enough to stay and play longer. They had non smoking machines but they were nearby the smoking allowed machines rather than in a separate room which defeats the purpose. I'd only go back to have the prime rib dinner but not for the buffet or gambling. read more

Clean, well lit, very friendly employees and security. Happy and welcoming environment.. Bathrooms are super clean and well maintained. Sportsbar is great.. Wildfire restaurant is 5star for Lake County, with excellent food, above n beyond waiters, great deal on prime rib and best pizza in county.. by far.. For what it is and its size, its dialed in and perfect. read more

Been coming to this casino for at least 10 years...went for a visit today because I liked the fact that they had the older mustang slot machines (2 of them) so sad they retired both of them.... Probably won't be going back will have to go to twin pines since they still have the old mustang slot machine. Very disappointed Running creek! read more

We just went for Sunday's Special: Prime rib steak for 8.95 and It was surprisingly good! The meat was tender, juicy and flavored. The mashed potato was creamy and delicious. The portion was big too. It was so good that I definitely will go back. read more

Liking the "Wild Creek Buffet" for $19.95 an all you can eat in which includes "prime rib, coconut shrimp, made to order pasta, and host of fillers with a awesome desert menu this Running Creek Casino dining spot is full proof. The set up of this dining experience earns it four stars, has nothing to do with the food whatsoever, once seated, one has to leave the dining room to gather food that I dislike. A good friend has saying, "there's crushing it, and there's buffet crushing it"... When Running Creek'n it..... be prepared to face a mountainous portions.... This place is a joke, this was the third time I've been there the machines are tight and the workers In customer service are rude and had the audacity to tell me to shush many times because i was cheering for my baseball team. I asked why don't she shush another player that had annoyed many players that people complained about? she said because she spends thousands of dollars there.So if your going to this casino you better watch your mouth and not be loud when your excite d unless your a regular there that spends thousands of dollars. Don't think your going to have fun while playing penny machines lol Im sticking to Konocti Casino they're nice to you no matter how much you spend there and never are rude and better payouts. read more

We enjoy the atmosphere at this casino a lot, it does not seem as Smokey as others. The restaurant is really affordable and great food! My problem is we went up to the bar for a glass of white wine, the bartender charged me $9 for a glass of wine!! That's just crazy for a casino to charge that price! I can go to a very nice wine bar and not spend that much. I think overall it's a good place just expensive on their drinks. read more

The service staff was on it. Very quick to be seated and our order was taken within a couple minutes. The food came out quickly as well. We had the prawns for an app and the prime rib dinner. What a joke. No flavor at all on the rib, the au jus was like warm water with a brown tint to it. No bread at all. I remember when it first opened it was the best place to go in Lake county and get a very good meal and a great price. The seafood buffet was off the charts then they started removing main items people were going for and the prices started going up, up, up and the food quality has hit the toilets. This will be the last time we go there for dinner and will NOT recommend this place to anybody. read more

I drove a long way to enjoy their seafood buffet as advertised on their web site with beautiful pictures of fresh seafood on ice -- what they have is fried shrimp (fried mac and cheese one of the better lookng items --lol) and tilapia --my friend and I decided to get a refund for the terrible looking buffet and try the prime rib dinner -- the vegetables were overcooked, my baked potato coolish, the meat very fatty and of mediocre quality. The waiting staff was lovely. The place was clean. There is only one cash register and those people need to take a refresher course in friendly customer service. i felt that after driving all that way we should have had our meal comped ($8.99) or been given a free dessert at least. Will never go back there and I do not recommend it at all. read more

So my 3 friends and I just came into the main restaurant for dinner and the hostess was very rude and refused to seat us. Not only were there open tables, but they are open for another hour and 20 minutes. They had no problem seating us last night for the pricey seafood buffet. I liked the buffet but my friend who also had the buffet was violently ill all night and forced to drive at 2:00am in search of medicine to relive his extreme GI distress. Our friends we came with vacation here regularly and have been to the restaurant before and wanted to give it another chance tonight. I have never, ever been treated that poorly at any restaurant, and I have never written a bad review before even though I have been unhappy with restaurants and businesses before that takes the cake as the rudest, most insulting treatment I have ever received. We are now going to be coming to this area regularly and will never come back to this Casino or restaurant and will be sure to make a point to tell others in the area how rudely we were treated. read more

We have been going to Running Creek for the past few years and have seen nothing but a decline in quality of food. I took my daughter who, was visiting from Montana, there on Monday (July 9, 2018) and it was the worst restaraunt experience I have ever had. My wife and my daughter ordered the house bacon burger. The burger patty was about 1/3 pound, but I swear half of that was filler of some sort. It was clearly a money maker for them and a disaster for the consumer. Did I mention it took almost an hour to get the food delivered? I had a Korean Chicken sandwich. The chicken breast looked like it came from a Cornish Hen it was so small. We went to Running Creek Sea Food Buffet. First thing they cut the Buffet in half. The crab was sauggie. They Remodeled added a bar in the Resturant and now they are using smaller table to eat on. For 4 of us it cost $140.00. We used to have the sea food buffet 2 to3 times a month and for 2 of us it would be $40.00 and change. And the crab was great. After friday night we WON'T be going back. read more

There were only six cars in the parking lot. Walked in and they had a slot tournament ending in 10 minutes, so we played and I won first place! With my more play, we sat next to each other on two machines and had a ball! Both machines kept giving us bonus rounds and terrific combinations. It's a very small casino, and a different activity for us for the week. But it sure was fun! It doesn't compare to LV or other casinos, but gave them 3 stars because we had a great time playing their machines. For us, It was definitely worth a stop.

Jeremy was extremely kind and helpful with all the information regarding the hotel and boat launch/marina. Our room was perfect, bottom floor, right outside of the front desk area. We were able to launch our boat for free with a slip. King size bed was comfortable, and room had all the amenities. The restaurant is DELICIOUS for breakfast, lunch and dinner. In our 4 day stay, we never had a bad meal. Even tried the arcade and Little Caesars, kind staff continued. The pool was a great addition as the lake water was not very inviting. My only complaint has NOTHING to do with the hotel but the marina. Jeremy told us the marina and the hotel are separate. Day 3 of our stay, Saturday, there was to be a concert. Awesome, we love music. We had friends coming into town that afternoon to celebrate my husband's bday and take out their new boat. Well that afternoon, we walked to the boat launch, it has vendors in front of it. We asked the marina staff why they are blocking it, the two ladies didn't apologize or even look up at us, just said "oh yeah, it's been closed all day for the concert." We asked why we were not told, what if we planned on taking our boat out that night after fishing, they replied "well it's closed." Went to the hotel, again Jeremy and his kindness asked security to speak to management and that next time the hotel needs to be notified so they can tell hotel guests. Even a bloody sign at the launch would have been more help than the rude marina staff. Overall, this place is amazing. Very very friendly staff. Always accommodating and kind. We will stay here again.

I earned enough slot points for the $3.99 blueberry pancakes bacon and egg breakfast, but even if I didn't have leftovers, I wouldn't take the chance in the morning. I needed to get on the road. Besides that the casino paid me pretty well and I even walked out with a brand new blender. I'm always a fan of the rock. They let me play for hours on not too much money.

We ate at the Hot Springs Express eatery. It's a place to get a quick, yet good, meal as you take a food break from playing your slots or card games. It is stuck in a corner but wasn't hard to find. They have a decent sized menu, and I chose the Hamburger. It had the traditional fare on it, Tomatoes, Sliced Pickles, Butter Lettuce and Onions on a wonderful Brioche Bun. It came with a healthy order of Fries too for only $10. There is a Pepsi dispenser there, so you don't need to purchase a drink. You could even mix many flavors together, if you want to! I was impressed, even though it was a basic Burger. It had great flavor, and the Server was very competent at her job. My only knock was if you desire Salt, Ketchup or Mustard you are given packets rather than a bottle or Shaker. If you play games of chance this is a great break to get you luck back on. A little caveat at Running Creek is they have daily dinner specials at great prices. Monday is New York Steak, Tuesday is Steak and Scampi, Wednesday is Prime Rib, Thursday is Chicken Fried Steak, Sunday is BBQ Ribs. These are each only $11 with a Players Card. Friday is their All You Can Eat Crab, but it's quite a bit more expensive. I will be giving Running Creek's Hot Springs Express 9 Napkins. Had such a wonderful evening at Running Creek Casino in Upper Lake! From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel right at home. The security team was super friendly and professional--super quick and easy entry, which was refreshing. The casino floor is clean, well-lit, and has a great layout with plenty of my favorite slot machines that were paying out nicely. I hit a few nice wins and the excitement was real! The table games were fun too- single-deck blackjack had good energy and the dealers were attentive and kind. Grabbed some delicious food at the restaurant, fresh options and tasty portions at fair prices. The whole vibe is welcoming and fun without being overwhelming, perfect for a night out near Clear Lake. Players Club perks are solid, and the bartenders mix a mean drink. If you apply for a position for this property, applicant please be aware that the tribe has last say if you will be hired as the tribe issues the gaming permit (or as they call "The Badge"). Further the tribe will not advise you of why they did not issue the permit/badge? You got to love it. This property has a issue with keeping staff as they run employees off. yikes read more

Between the homeless scum hanging out and giving the place a creepy feel and the unwelcome vibe i will never go back. I live close by and all night party in the parking lot without any night security. The garbage up and down both sides of the street should be patrolled and cleaned up! Its to go containers, your coffee cups and pepsi cups from free drinks. read more
