She stated to go on the site to do it, however I still was unaware if she offers pick up, and told her there was no address online so I would just figure it out. I then said thank you, and she hung up on my face. These are the messages which I received afterwards. Luckily, there are many more hair stores in Atlanta which offer pick up. Jeff is very punctual and open about what he does to your hair and why. He knows just what your hair needs; most beauticians will do what you ask whether it's healthy for your hair or not. Jeff thinks about his client and tells you what you must do to keep your hair looking great. I have been without a relaxer for about three years now and had been wearing an afro about a year. That was the best thing I could have done to my hair to stop the breakage and thinning. It had gotten really thick and was hard to comb through. I was anxious to try a blowout to see how much my hair had grown. Jeff came to North Carolina and told his family the things he was doing to natural hair in Georgia. We were anxious to see just what these steam treatments would do for your hair. Jeff came down and we had the chance to experience a blowout with moisture/steam treatment. If I would not have seen it for myself I would not have believed it. Everyone of us went in wearing an afro and came out with soft flowing locks full of volume and body. It has been a month and a half and Jeff has done three treatments on my hair. Each time yields a better result and Jeff says it's only going to get better. The salon is located less than a mile from the busy intersection of Rockbridge and Lawrenceville Hwy - they were easy to find (right next door to Dollar General). You know I like pros / cons lists - so I'll do that here: Pros Lisa is funny, sweet, talented and knowledgeable about hair. She's also FAST. Took her 2 hours exactly - and she used a method I'd never experienced prior but the final product was the same if not better. And she's patient and doesn't get all "attitudey" like some stylists. Lol. She didn't even really give me the side-eye I usually get from stylists when I got a little high maintenance on her. To note: 1) I was late for the appointment, 2) I balked at using the #1B hair she'd purchased - because I really wanted the #1 color we'd discussed prior and 3) I told her that I was going to wait in the car because the combination of heat and aerosol being used on the client next to me was giving me the runny-eye (yes - I'm a delicate flower). In addition, all staff and clientele were friendly - everyone said hello when I walked in - making me feel welcome and totally at ease (which we know is not always the case at salons). I was told about all promotions (including some great ones for back-to-school and massages.) Cons This probably shouldn't even be a con - because if I were in her shoes - I would probably do the same thing - but this goes back to the hair thing. She told me she was going to purchase hair in advance, but when I arrived (45 minutes late) she still hadn't purchased the hair and left me waiting at salon to go purchase it - THEN because they were out of stock - came back with a different color. But - I'm thinking because I was a new client - she probably had no idea whether I'd actually show up or flake out on her - so that might have been the reason she didn't go ahead and purchase hair in advance. The salon is cute - but she did mention they were going to be making changes with the interior. And adding Wi-Fi, television, etc. And she told me about the upcoming Grand Opening - which sounded like a lot of fun. Oh and they really are full service - they even offer massages.
