We hired Shewsical Entertainment to DJ our wedding last weekend, and it was amazing!!! We had Al as our DJ, and he brought all the energy! I had so many guests coming up and asking me where I found this guy, he was such a vibe! Al was also great on the phone during our consultation call before the wedding, thinking of little details even my Type A self hadn't planned out, and just made the whole process so easy. He coordinated so well with our live musicians and officiant for the ceremony too, helping mic them and get speakers ready so everything could run smoothly. For the reception I gave him a list of songs that were our favorites to pull from and told him to add whatever he thought was needed to keep the dancing going, and he rocked it! We love Al!!!! Matt Shew is amazing! He has now DJ'd for our son's bar mitzvah and our daughter's post-pandemic combination bat mitzvah/Sweet Sixteen party. The music was great, he kept everything moving, played all our daughter's requests and none of the songs she wanted to avoid, and he readily handled some special requests. Nicole did a great job the day of our wedding keeping the crowd dancing and was interactive with my husband and I during the event. When we met with them the owners were fun and had good energy. However the organization prior to the event was lackluster. I asked for First Dance song recommendations and was told to google it. I was surprised to learn that Shew-sical did not have lists of song ideas for the First Dance or mother-son dances. It would serve Shew-Sical well to have lists of songs just to provide the couple with ideas of songs. We also had to request a meeting with the DJ's to review our songs and explain things to us. It would serve Shew-sical well to encourage in person meetings with the couple to explain the program and provide feedback. All in all I would recommend Shew-sical to friends and family. Matt and Nicole are very personable, patient, and a pleasure to work with. Our DJ was excellent! We were married 8/4/18. Robert was patient and understanding of our needs as a couple. He was able to discern the crowd's needs. Our guests danced the night away!!! He included some really awesome songs and knew when to seamlessly move on or add new songs! Matt Shew did an awesome job setting up our contract and working with us diligently to make sure we had the perfect setup for our wedding. He was very fast in returning emails and flexible with us about adding time and changing venues. Tom who was our DJ for the night did an awesome job as well. He had great control over the whole wedding and kept everyone having fun the entire night. He also double and triple checked with us on pronunciations of people's names for introductions. We had the privilege of working with Nicole Shew throughout the process of planning our wedding and Nicole did an amazing job DJ-ing for our wedding in September. We watched family members and friends we did not know liked to dance spend the evening on the dance floor - and were later told people danced more at our wedding than they ever have before. We know this is due to Nicole's incredible talent to feel the vibe of the room and make musical choices accordingly. We also chose to have Shewsical provide the sound for our ceremony outside and music throughout dinner and we feel this really made the entire day so memorable. Nicole was easy to work with, so pleasant and kind, and an overall fun person to be around! Additionally, we feel it's important to note the incredible difference WOW Lighting made for our venue. We were initially ambivalent about the additional purchase (though very reasonably priced) and we are so glad we made the decision to get lighting for our reception. Nicole assisted us with picking out lights that would look beautiful in our venue and we really feel the lighting helped to make the reception not only scenic but the perfect atmosphere for our guests to have an awesome night dancing. We cannot speak highly enough of Shewsical and Wow Lighting - we are so glad we made the decision to use their services! We really believe Nicole and her talents made our night so fun. read more

Our DJ from Shewsical was so professional and fun on the day of our wedding! I'm not sure if it was on purpose, but the DJ that was chosen for our event is a huge Disney fan - just like my husband and I! His song selections were so on point and he was great at reading the crowd. Choosing Shewsical was one of the best decisions when it came to our wedding. The owner (Matt) and DJ (Robert) made the whole process easy from the initial contract to the last song played. Robert was eager to accommodate song selections and made our wedding memorable for both us and our guests. With only a handful of specific requests Robert built a seamless playlist that had everyone dancing and really brought the whole day together. We loved working with Shew-sical! They were very accommodating when it came to meeting with them and discussing our options and were very responsive via e-mail to all of my (and there were a few) questions and concerns. Matt and Nicole were very familiar with our venue (Stone Manor Country Club) and were very helpful in guiding us in the right direction with lighting and the microphone for our pastor. Yes, they also provided us with our up-lights for the tent and had many colors to choose from! I don't know song titles, or who the artist is, but I can usually sing every word, so picking music was not my favorite task. Matt and Nicole provided us with a list of 200 songs that were most popular and we were able to create our "must play" and "do not play" lists off of this. Matt took requests from our guests, but stuck by our requests and did not play any songs that we felt weren't appropriate for the occasion. I was the bride who requested an extra song on the day of our wedding (Mickey Mouse Club for my nephew) and Matt found it and played it for us without even hesitating. It was a big hit with the kids in our bridal party! Matt also did a fantastic job of timing the music and played the songs that our older guests enjoyed earlier in the night and progressed into music for the younger crowd who wanted to dance all night. What a pleasure it was to have Shew-sical DJ and emcee our wedding. Matt was the perfect combination of experience and helpfulness. My husband and I had reached out to Shew-sical Entertainment due to a very poor experience involving our wedding. We were in a crunch and were very nervous due to previous experiences. Shew-sical washed all our worries away by their constant availability for questions. They had us fill out a questionnaire and told us they would match a DJ with us based off our needs. Due to our nerves this worried us. After the wedding I have to say that Shew-Sical Entertainment (our DJ Tom) went above our expectations to make the night absolutely perfect. They matched us with an absolutely amazing DJ, Tom! Our entire wedding was on the dance floor ALL night long. Tom had everyone entertained and having a blast from start to finish. I cannot say in enough words how amazing our experience was! This will be a night we will never forget. Shew-sical made our wedding SO AMAZING! My wife and I are Jewish and we wanted a local DJ with Jewish wedding experience and we shopped around a bunch and ultimately landed on Shew-sical as they were local and had the required experience. I worked with Matt and Nicole (the owners) to negotiate the contract and agree on the services and they were FANTASTIC to work with. They were great with e-mail communication and made us feel like their only customer! Their prices are really reasonable and they offer a one stop shop for the equipment including microphones. Our DJ was Robert H. and he was absolutely fantastic! We sent Robert our wedding itinerary, paying special focus on our Jewish traditional songs. Robert had experience at Jewish weddings however ours was unique given we want certain dance sets that weren't customary at all Jewish weddings. Robert was patient with us and even took last minute changes on the day of our wedding! Robert showed up early and set up three different sound stations so the music would be heard all over our venue. Robert sent us a Top 200 song list and we gave him our preferences and he stick to the list. We heard that our music was so fun and our friends stayed to the final song (on a Sunday night!) and danced non-stop throughout the night. Robert did such a tasteful job at our ceremony and he lit up the dance floor. We are SO happy with our choice of Shew-sical and STRONGLY recommend them to other couples! read more
