Really good especially for the price. I've been struggling to find a good buffet close to Tulsa and I think this takes the gem. Not a whole lot of selection of prepared food but what they do have trumps quality over quantity. The dumplings and crab ragoon were a fav for me and my husband. You can also tell they prioritize freshness, there's a large selection of hibachi available for the same price under your buffet meal and it was really delicious. Actually a lot of options for seasoning and building it. They also had really fresh meat which was great. I've been at places that have meat that looks like it's been sitting out and since the 40ish mins I was there I saw them replace it. Service was also really great usually at buffets they kinda leave you alone and wait for you at the front. Brand new restaurant in Sand Springs replacing the China Star Buffet...interesting model...it's a buffet but you order and they bring you a portion, or you get your own salad, hibachi ingredients, sushi or dessert. Hibachi bar well stocked with proteins including crab, steak, squid, chicken And a variety of veggies and sauces. This was a soft opening...but I really liked the hibachi service and offerings, and I can see how how portioning the buffet can reduce wasted food..we enjoyed our food, and left stuffed but happy. This experience was horrible! My husband and I stopped to have a late lunch on Monday, June 2, 2025. The food was not edible. We asked the waitress why it was dry, burnt, rice hard, not fresh, and didn't use fresh ingredients for the stir fry? We had been told it changed owners two months ago. New owner bought with no recipes, and with no proper exchanges. This place was NOT the same as it used to be. Please check the dates of reviews! We used to visit about 2 or 3 times a week when it first opened. Waitress said others think it's very good. (If that was true, I am surprised their standards was so low!) I call my husband a "Human Garbage Disposal". His background taught him to eat everything on his plate and Not to be peaky when it comes to food. Even he said he couldn't eat it! We left our plates on the table and went home. The waitress said the best she could do was 15% off rather than the usual 10% off. Nearly $30.00 was the bill. We were so discussed we just left. Later, we were so upset at ourselves for not refusing to pay the outrageous bill. Save your money and taste buds. They need zero stars, not even one. "Tropical" restaurant on 49th and Memorial in Tulsa is so much better and worth the drive. read more

Everything was great! Visited between lunch and dinner hours but everything was still really fresh. The raw beef in the hibachi ingredients was silken so it had an excellent texture after it had been cooked. The sushi was some of the best buffet sushi I think I have had. When I saw the reviews on this place I had to try it...sushi that folks said was simple but fresh...and unlimited small plates ordered off the menu and brought to the table sounded great compared to the typical sad Chinese buffet. The hibachi part of it was not a draw for us but was included so no big deal. Same with the salad and dessert bars. Unfortunately the restaurant has changed the way they do things and nobody has reviewed it since the change. So here goes! That nice little menu shown on here with the appetizers, soups, main dishes and sides...and the pictures of little square plates in a bento style box that people had ordered and said was hot, fresh and good? THEY DONT DO THAT ANYMORE. So yes the sushi was simple but fresh and good. The salad looked fresh, didn't get it though. And now they have a "hot bar" which is a dang buffet with the appetizers and main dishes and it's very limited compared with that menu posted on here. The egg rolls were fine. The crab rangoon was not edible, had been sitting there waayyy too long. Same with the chicken wings. I didn't try any of the main dishes because the looked old to me but my husband did because he hates going through the hibachi line. He was not impressed with any of it so just as my hibachi plate was ready he went for a big plate of dessert then took one bite of everything and said it all tasted like it had been sitting there all day too. My hibachi plate was fine, they had tons of options so one can make pretty much anything they can dream up, but like I said above we didn't go there for hibachi. The service was ok. The server who brought our drinks was Spanish speaking so when I asked about ordering off a menu she didn't understand me. Luckily I overheard the server at a nearby table explaining that they don't do the menu anymore, just the buffet and hibachi. Sadly, we won't be going back. Wow I was really impressed with this buffet. It was my first time coming here after hearing about it from my coworkers. The food was very good. The service was great. Iv never seen a buffet run as well as this one is. It's different from your normal buffet. Hard to explain. The buffet was kept very clean which normally buffets have food everywhere. We had seen good reviews for Shibuya and decided to venture on back to Sand Springs to try it out because who doesn't love all you can eat food that you can order to your table??? And for $16??? We were honestly kind of blown away. The service was very kind, and while the ordering system was a bit wrong on occasion, they did so well while being a new restaurant! It looks clean and new inside (as we had been to the previous 'China King' restaurant in this building when we were kids and knew what it looked like before). They did great at redoing the restaurant and coming up with a new concept. They had fresh sushi on a buffet, with two workers making new rolls throughout our time there. The hibachi is also a large buffet with a multitude of fresh looking options and lots of different sauces, veggies, proteins, and bases to choose from! It was also promptly cooked and brought to our table. We ordered a ton of different foods from our menu and ate almost everything (and ordered multiples of things we loved). Really bad experience, went to eat here with my family. As soon as we walked it we were met with nasty looks. The restaurant closes at 9 we got there a little before 8. The whole time our server watched over our shoulder and made us feel uncomfortable. The staff started to close everything at 8:40 and being extremely loud. Felt like an uncomfortable environment especially for the money we paid. We had all plans of leaving before 9 when they closed but the rudeness was insane . read more

Other reviews pretty much sums up how the buffet works. What I tend to see on reviews is that many people think the food is great if the portions are huge or it's all you can eat. The food is ok. The surroundings are not that nice...not horrible but for the price you can eat at nicer restaurants. Pro-tip: go easy on the rice and noodles at the head of the line; if not you won't have much room for the meats...great marketing ploy to save on food costs! Like I wrote earlier food is ok BUT the deserts are lousy! Tapioca pudding probably came out of a 5 gallon bucket. Rubbery jello, etc.... By far the worst FOOD and SERVICE I have ever seen. Two spring rolls and 2 chicken wings was over $30.00. Watch out...they charge you for the full buffet even if you order off the menu like we did. A TOTAL RIP OFF!! The place was filthy dirty, the service SUCKS. We had to eat off napkins because we were told the plates are for the buffet customers only. The in house stuff is gross only thing good is sushi and make your own grill. I just put all sauce with shrimp and noodles
