He fixed it up before in 2 days when other places bounced me around for a month, and is very fair with pricing and has never tried to upsell beyond what was necessary. One time we thought it was a big problem that would've been hundreds, he figured out it was just something loose, tightened it and didn't even charge anything. Something similar this time. A different shop told me my brakes were kaput and we figured out they were fine, it was something very minor. He could've easily just changed them anyway for profit but instead took the time to explain that they were fine and the other place was full of it. Rotating the tires and fixing the psi fixed the issue. He's very down to earth and honest when something is fine vs needing work. He really helped me out on my Ford Focus battery not working, the car kept needing a jump start. he determined it was a bad alternator, he called me with the estimate, to see if I wanted it fixed. Since it was a newer car I called the dealer to see if warranty covered repair, I was told no, and out of curiosity I got a quote, the dealer was more about selling up than just answering me. Owner forgot which car was ours and then lies that the battery won't recharge. After talking he agrees to take another look. 2 additional months go by and the car is still parked in the same spot, untouched. We go back again and he lies again that the car won't start (why doesn't the mechanic know how to start a car???). And he won't work on it now because he's retired, which would have been nice to know prior to acting like we're brainless. We used a portable battery charger, started the car, and left. 0/5 would not take a bicycle there.
