This has to be the best place to get your car work done in PA. They are a solid shop and stay within the estimate when working on your car. They called me and said that it would be a little over a grand in work. I thought it would end up being more after the work, but it ended up being exactly on the dollar. I'm new to the area and I needed some work done. I took my van in this week to fix some long-standing issues (trouble with the steering and heat only working in half the vehicle). They were honest up-front with their estimates of how much it would cost and how long it would take. They clearly spent some time troubleshooting the steering fix, as they gave me an update on what they were doing besides just replacing a main part. When I went in to pick up the vehicle, they told me that they noticed a tire was low, so they were filling all of my tires. Maybe the best part: they noticed I have a York College parking tag, so they gave me an employee discount on labor THAT I DID NOT ASK FOR. That's fantastic, above-and-beyond service. I'll be back. This wasn't even my car. I can't even drive. My friend and I got stuck on our way from DC to some other part of PA and her car broke down on the side of the road. We called Pilgrim's, who talked us through our options on the phone and directed us to a towing service. We had nothing but a wonderful experience. When we arrived, the customer service was OUT OF THIS WORLD - we were out of the shop within about an hour and a half. And the car is fixed! And everyone was so nice! Just moved here from NY. Needed to get 2 cars inspected within the 10day window. Placed a quick call to a few other shops and everyone was booked up. I called Pilgrims and Jim answered he was awesome! I explained my issue and that I was traveling back to NY for work again the next day. He told me to bring the car down the same day and that he and his guys would get it done. I was there within the hour and dropped the truck off. A couple of hours later Jim called and said all was good, he was open til 5 and to come down and get the truck when I was ready. Picked up the truck, paid and made an appointment for my other car for the following week. My wife brought our other car back in the following week and she waited - Jim again took care of her and the "beast" - My Charger HellCat was in good hands. These guys LOVE cars and were excited to look over the HC. Again, within the hour car was done! As a previous deal I made with Jim and the guys was that when I brought the HC in that they could take it for a test drive. They asked my wife and she agreed. They were shocked! Need an example? Read on: I've been around cars and working on them since I was a kid. My 2002 Honda CRV is my livelihood as I am in sales and in the road most of the time; needless to say, the old girl needs some extra TLC once in a while that I can't handle in the driveway, and when a strange, new sound was coming from the undercarriage that I could not find or isolate, it went to Jim and Crew. After several communications with me, we thought it was as simple as a muffler.....BUT......as usual, the team wasn't 100% convinced it was that simple, and after combing over that car for another day, they located a oddball issue in the driveshaft. It was a sound that I never would have identified as being driveshaft related, and not somewhere you would normally look.....the kicker? The driveshaft was ready fall out, a very dangerous situation. So not only does Jim and the team fix the noise, they save me from a potentially catastrophic issue on the highway. I knocked off my passenger side mirror. Another business told me that the brackets inside my mirror and door were bent, and I'd need to replace both at a cost of over $1000. I took it to Jim at Pilgrim's for a second opinion. He also diagnosed the bent brackets, but was able to do all of the repairs for about a hundred bucks! The car looks like new.
