It's well equipped (6-8 benches with safety racks, 3+ deadlift stations, a couple of squat racks, a decent amount of machines) and has calibrated plates for competiton. Also, it's indoors with central air and super clean! Some cardio machines as well. It's the only dedicated powerlifting gym I've seen in the area. Unfortunately it's just a hair too far to be practical for my training but I wish I could be a member here.

It's true that people are more respectful at this gym because when I walked in everything was clean and everyone was wiping things down and re-racking their weights. It makes for such a better lifting experience when everyone respects the equipment and facility. You sign up on an app and you beep in via a bluetooth system which was convenient for my early morning lift. I even got to meet the owner Ian, and he was cool and helped me get a day pass fast which was great! I intend to come back here! 10/10.

I'm sharing my experience so others can make an informed decision before training here…read more Before starting, I clearly explained to the owner that I had previously recovered from a serious injury in 2022 and needed a safe, carefully managed program focused on rebuilding strength. He assured me that he would oversee my training plan, even on days I worked with another trainer. I trained both with the owner and a second trainer. My sessions with the owner were positive, and I felt the workouts were appropriate. However, the issue arose with the second trainer. Although I was paying the higher rate specifically because the owner said he would supervise all programming, that oversight did not happen in practice. At one point, I communicated that I was experiencing pain in my right hip/groin area and asked to scale things back. Despite this, the trainer had me perform exercises like barbell squats and farmer carries. I explicitly asked whether these were safe given my condition, and I was assured they were. They were not. Following these sessions, I was later diagnosed with a labral tear, which has significantly impacted my mobility and required extensive recovery, time, and financial investment. I'm not writing this to attack a small business, but I do believe this situation reflects: * Lack of proper supervision * Inadequate adjustment for injury history * Poor judgment when a client reports pain If you're considering training here, I strongly recommend making sure: * Your program is truly customized * Communication about pain is taken seriously * The level of supervision matches what you're paying for This experience had a serious impact on my health and daily life, and I hope sharing it helps others avoid a similar situation.

I was browsing my MindBody app for a Friday evening work out and discovered Mindful Space Yoga and…read moreMeditation. An individual class is $25. They have packages and memberships. I especially dislike that the packages expire after 2 months. Too much risk and no upside for me to invest in that when I don't live in the area. If this is your first time to the studio, they are located off Foothill and San Antonio in the same plaza as Sprouts and Red Devil Pizza. I was able to fill out my waiver ahead of time on the app, or you can come early and sign your waiver at the studio. On the day of my visit the receptionist greeted me. The class prior was late getting out so I got a quick tour of the studio. They had a waiting lobby area in front, cubbies and bathroom in the back. I like the the studio space is separated by doors so there is a more peaceful ambiance for the classes as others come and go. I took the Restorative Yoga for Healing with Debbie. I brought my own blanket to be cozy in restorative poses cause I am allergic to wool blankets and sure enough this place has wool blankets. They also have bolsters and bricks for you to borrow. This restorative class had students against the wall for some legs up the wall poses. I really liked Debbie's instructions. She was good with the emphasis on breathwork and reminding us to breath throughout the class. The poses were very restful and relaxing. Here's my issue though. The class description on the mind body app talks about Reiki. I attached the screenshot with my review. I expected reiki coming into this class. I even had a conversation with the receptionist about reiki. So during the first few poses I was surprised the instructor wasn't coming around at all. Then I thought maybe she's going to do it all at the end during our shavasana... but nothing. What the heck... This feeling is like I paid for a garlic shrimp and got a tasty shrimp dish with no garlic flavor. Like THIS ISN'T WHAT I PAID FOR. This is no offense to Debbie but this is a management flaw. Update your information if it's changed. There are a lot of other restorative classes on Friday evenings in the area and the other ones even provide optional aroma therapy to deepen the stress relief. I liked the class fine but I don't like not getting the service I paid for. That's called false advertisement. I should have left feeling super relax but I left feeling super annoyed about the lacking reiki service I expected coming to this class. Also the promise of the reiki is the reason why I booked this class over other restorative yoga classes that were cheaper. I feel pretty bamboozled!

When I met with her, she told me it was completely free, but required a $500 deposit that would be returned to me if I met my goal at the end of the program. I told her I wasn't comfortable with that since it was advertised as free. I let her know I needed time to think about it and that I would like to discuss with my husband. Her response was to "call my husband now" because she needed to know since the program started on Monday. Even more uncomfortable, I left and did not join. It was clearly false advertising, a money grab, and her tactics were manipulative at best. I would get occasional emails and texts from Ash. Once I unsubscribed from her emails, the texts really started coming in. I blocked each number but somehow a new number would text me. In December 2019, her texts started again and she was sending text messages at 3:05 AM. I again blocked the phone number. Last night, I received another text from a fifth phone number. I texted the number back in an attempt to express my dissatisfaction one on one and never received a response. I am now leaving this review, because after 3 years, I have had enough. This is another request to be removed from all communication with you. I recommend Ash be upfront about her financial expectations from new clients. She should attempt to advertise true and accurate information about her programs instead of luring and scamming people. I hope this review makes people aware that at the heart of it, Ash is interested in your money, not your health.

This particular class focused on yoga for back pain, so the movements were very gentle and aimed at relieving tension and tightness in the back. I really enjoyed the class and found it helpful. The only downside for me was the air conditioning. I happened to be near a vent, and every time the AC kicked on, a strong blast of very cold air hit me directly. I felt chilly for most of the class, and the cold air dried out my nose and throat--especially during breathwork exercises--causing me to cough a few times.

That's also why some of the changes over the years have been disappointing. When this location originally opened, one of the BIG reasons I signed up was the 24-hour access. Obviously COVID changed everything for a while, but years later, I'm disappointed that the gym never returned to the hours it had when I originally became a member. With the more limited hours, it also feels like everyone is trying to squeeze their workouts into the same windows, and the gym can get ridiculously crowded. I understand gyms need memberships to operate, but at some point I think there needs to be more consideration for capacity. There are times when it feels like there are simply too many memberships for the amount of equipment and space available. It can make getting a normal workout in frustrating. Cleanliness is hit or miss. The employees are okay overall, although the friendliness at the front desk can be inconsistent. Sometimes you'll get a hello or goodbye when walking in and out, other times not so much. There are still plenty of things I genuinely enjoy here. I LOVE having access to the sauna and steam room, and when the gym isn't packed, I really enjoy working out here. I've stuck with this location since the beginning because I like Chuze. I just wish some of what made this gym so great when it first opened--especially the extended hours--would come back. With better hours and some attention to overcrowding, this could easily be one of my favorite gyms again.

Chuze Fitness in Rancho Cucamonga is run by a terrible corporation that does not care about its community or its members. The management at this specific location went out of their way to falsely accuse me of violating a policy that I didn't break. Instead of acting professionally, communicating clearly, or actually investigating, they treated a paying member with total disrespect and hostility. You go to a gym to work out and clear your head, not to deal with corporate headaches, staff power trips, and baseless accusations. The entire vibe here is ruined by how poorly managed it is. Save your time, your money, and your peace of mind--go to any other gym in the area where they actually treat people fairly. Avoid this place at all costs!
