Terrible. We were sitting there enjoying our food and the two women started making faces while staring at our table. We brushed it off and kept eating. We began to hear one of the workers on the phone with a party making their reservation. Another party walked in and they gave the table to them instead of the other party. The other party walked in clueless as their table was given up and was unaware of the situation. One of the workers began to rush us and clean up our food as we were eating. I saw the lady tell the other "make them hurry." They decided to then not only ask us if we were done, but taking plates as we were still eating off of them. we put our food in to go boxes and left. I lived here for nearly 2 years before I decided to try it. I kept forgetting that it was here because it is hidden. It is definitely a hidden gem though. Their hibachi is so great! They are so fast and courteous also. It definitely makes for a great date night meal. It never seems to be as good when you take it home as it is in the restaurant though. Me and my boyfriend have been coming to this place since 2019 and they have never disappointed. It is a small family owned business and they are so welcoming and the food is GREAT! I am a sushi fanatic and have tried all sushi in the Shelby county/ Jefferson county area and no one compares to them! They even made a special roll for us and put it on the menu! My friend Lauren told me about this place & invited us to join her & her husband several times to eat here... Just never worked with our schedule. Went for lunch with several friends, but I didn't know what to order. I don't remember what I had, it was alright. Husband & I decided to go back for a date night. I decided on a whim to try something I've never had. "I'll have the Moo Shoo Chicken" with a fake confidence as if I knew what I was talking about. I had no idea what Moo Shoo Chicken was but I kept saying it because it was fun to say. So, the Moo Shoo chicken came with these thin wrapper things similar to fresh lumpia (egg roll) wrappers if you're Filipino (my mother-in-law makes the best) or similar to a soft tortilla type wrapper. I honestly thought the wrappers were warm towels to wipe your hands before you eat because Japanese are so thoughtful in details like that ... Sorry I know that's strange. Anyway, here's the one line you need to read out of this whole silly review- The Moo Shoo had me at hello. My husband could've up and walked out the door and gone home and I would not have known. It was just that good. Apparently, you are supposed to fill the wrappers with the Moo Shoo chicken & vegetable stir fry mixture. It is to die for.... The sauce is so good. I love you, Moo Shoo. Y'all & the best part it was only around $7 and I took half home there was so much. Go!! (and they do not serve alcohol, just FYI). Remember these words - Moo Shoo. You're welcome. read more

This is excellent Chinese food! The recipes are a nice full flavor version of all the common dishes. I usually get Mongolian beef and they do not put 1lb of onions like others places try to do to fill up the dish. All dishes are super fresh, saucy and rich flavor. This place is waaaay better than most Chinese food around bham. The owners are super nice and helpful. We love love love this place!! read more

Yes. I'm a "I gave you 4 stars" FAN - Why else would I eat at your place twice a week? And to think, just a few weeks ago, I was b___ing about one of the only Chinese restaurants in the area not having very good service but having great food. Well, now I got great service, great food, SUSHI, and delivery and it's all right here - IN MT LAUREL! The low-down on the newly opened Chinese (& Sushi & Hibachi) place in my neighborhood: SUSHI: All regular sushi rolls are $5.75 - $7.95 - and they're about 6-8 pcs. The "big rolls" are a little more. They also have Sashimi for you "real" sushi lovers. HIBACHI: Comes with rice and run anywhere from $10-12; the Lobster is $16.95 CHINESE: Chicken, LoMein and Fried Rice dishes run $8.50 and the Beef and Seafood dishes run $10.50 The appetizers (Spring Roll, Egg Roll, Won Ton, Dumplings and chicken sate) run anywhere from $1.20 - $4.50. Soups run $4.50 - $6.50, and they have an array of salads for about $5.50. The Sesame Chicken and Veggie Lo Mein are my faves right now. But the General Tso's Chicken is good, too - just not spicy enough for me. I have also had the Mongolian Beef - and it is definitely tasty. They have a great lunch special: Any one of twelve dishes with rice and an egg roll for $6.95 (that's a deal!) Face it - Chinese food is kinda hard to screw up. I've worked in the Mt. Laurel area since December 2012, and the entire time I kept wishing for a Chinese take out place I could walk to. Finally, we have one! (My coworkers told me there used to be one, but it was shut down.) It's very clean and cute inside. There isn't much seating, but that's not necessary for a place that's primarily take out. Added bonus: the decor isn't as over the top, cliche, or old as most Chinese-American restaurants. I must have beat the lunch crowd because it was completely empty when I went around 11. Their lunch specials are reasonably priced around $7, and all come with fried rice and an egg roll. The food was decent, but not amazing. Food alone would have gotten this place 3 stars. The reason this place gets 4 stars instead of 3 is the service! I came in to order take out and was immediately greeted. After placing my order, she told me it would take a minute to cook and offered me a complimentary bowl of egg drop soup (with fried wontons!) This was totally unexpected and so nice of her to offer. Been here before only because it easier than dealing with 280. But tonight had to throw away Chicken and Broccoli not real sure what they used for the chicken. I moved to Birmingham last February and almost immediately after, started to search for an Asian restaurant to replace my beloved hometown restaurant. Five restaurants (and more money spent than I would like to admit) later, I still had not found anything that came close to the fresh, delicious food that I was accustomed to. I recently started working out in Mt. Laurel and happened to notify that one of the few restaurants in town specialized in Asian cuisine. Of course I did my research, inquiring with coworkers and reading Yelp reviews to decide if I wanted to invest any more money in this search. I ended up settling on starting off with a small order and if that went well, ordering an entire meal. I began with a call in order of cream cheese won tons. They woman working there was absolutely pleasant over the phone and in person and appeared to be genuinely happy to have some new business. Although a little different from what I was accustomed to, the cream cheese wontons were absolutely delicious. Perfect amount of filling, crispy but not cooked too hard shell and above all is, it tasted FRESH. I could finally see the light at the end of this Asian cuisine fiasco; I had hope again! A few days later, I made another call-in order for the lunch portion of the honey chicken with an order of egg drop soup. I was cautiously excited for the meal, with thoughts lingering of all the less than satisfactory meals I had experienced so far in the Magic City. Thankfully, I was delightfully surprised. Let me first say that my meal was delayed because of a work emergency, so I didn't actually get to eat my order until a few hours after I had picked it up. But, guess what? It was still absolutely delicious. I don't even like egg rolls, yet I ate the entire thing. The rice was perfectly cooked and stir friend and the honey chicken was cooked perfectly with a pleasantly sweet honey sauce. The egg drop soup was just as good! It had finally found what I'd been looking for these past nine months. All in all, I got a nice sized meal that was just as satisfying as it was delicious for less than $10. A great deal by anyone's standards. I'm giving them a perfect rating for great tasting, FRESH, food with great and friendly service. read more

Well to echo a previous review from my dear friend Chris Stone; great food, great service and pretty much the sweetest family in Mt Laurel. The 蔣 Jing family is always there to greet us with big hugs and warm smiles; along with fresh miso soup and seaweed salad for our girls. My wife and I lived abroad in Asia and Europe for several years and time and again Shiki Sakura brings back that nostalgic feeling of ducking into another culture and having a wonderful international experience right in our own back yard. If you want a healthy after school dinner for your children; they have it! Fresh steamed broccoli with garlic, Chinese style, generous portions of seaweed soup and sticky rice, with pineapple slices for dessert. The sushi rolls are very fresh, with delicious tuna, avocado and crispy shrimp topping off our favorite shiki sakura roll and red dragon roll. Much like the small bistros in Asia you can also buy a cell phone case, watch some Pokémon with Chinese subtitles, and watch your children learn Mandarin characters while you're at it. I love this place! The owners are so incredibly friendly and serve amazing food! Because I tend to order the same things at my favorite restaurants, I've decided to be adventurous and, therefore, I've started just working my way thru the menu, both the hibachi and the sushi. Everything has been great, so I'm developing more favorites. The food is prepared fresh to order, other than pre-cooked soups. They seem to get many call-in orders, and generally the dining space is readily available. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are very generous. (I'm sad to read of those that didn't enjoy their experience. While I can't discredit their experience or opinion, I do wish I could have dined with them to understand their view. I've always been incredibly thrilled with everything.... and I'm incredibly picky!) If you're looking for great food, I suggest that you at least experience it for yourself - I highly recommend it! I think you'll love it! And I will continue to patronize them - I want them to be around for a long time!! read more
