    420 Nachos @ Barons game

Hands down the best snack at the Barons game! Enjoyed the nachos very much, sad I had to share and there wasn't more. Love the sushi burrito too! Food truck is quick and easy to order from. Staff was nice!

This was a 3* star sorry but yeah the inside of the aka burritos didn't have much filling. Mostly it was rice. The taste was good just the filling was so little. For the price sorry it wasn't worth it. The nachos was Dorito's and thinly shaved tuna. The sauce was way too sweet. We would have liked the bowls instead but the food truck didn't have that. Eh not impressed honestly.

Interesting take on fusion. Asian-Mexican favorites all come together in some yummy tacos and burritos. Service was friendly and the vibe is super casual. Ordered the Rick Roll and was pleasantly surprised. A great take on a surf and turf burrito. Would come back next time I'm in Birmingham!

A nice take on fusion cuisine (Mexican and sushi) that is a hole in the wall. The service is pretty quick. I usually grab mine to go and head over to the brewery for an adult accompaniment. The sticky rice that takes the place of the tortilla is what makes the whole thing work.

First time here and tried the sushi nachos. Such a great dish that you can't get just anywhere! The flavor was incredible but the value wasn't so great. I spent about $15 a piece for my meal and for each of my son's meals. They got the sushi burritos and rated them a 6/10. One of my sons immediately wondered aloud about their profit margin. I would definitely go back but hope they increase the amount of food for the price.

Food is consistently good. Normally get the Destin but wanted to try the rainbow roll this time - definitely worth it. Love all of the UAB support. Interior is small but doesn't feel that way. Service also consistently quick and nice! My go to lunch or dinner place when I want something fun!!!

This was my first time getting try a sushi burrito and it did NOT disappoint. Service was so good and they were so kind. Great little place to stop at if your just driving by or in town

Here's the 4:20 reference for those wondering.

My sister & I made a quick trip to Birmingham and she mentioned that she'd found a questionable gluten-sensitive restaurant. She questioned it because it was an Asian-Mexican fusion restaurant. I was intrigued and figured it wouldn't hurt to give it a try. The restaurant lives in a very low key center with a barbershop and brewery. The inside was relatively small but had enough room that you could enjoy your meal without hearing everything the table next to you is discussing. The menu was pretty straight forward considering the combinations weren't anything you'd successfully make at home. Service was quick and friendly (I think it's family-owned). Food was everything that I didn't know that I needed! I had the 4:20 nachos, Ceviche taco & Avondale taco. My sister even gave me a bit of her Samurai burrito. *chef's kiss* I can't wait to come back for my own sushi burrito!

Wasabi Juan's never disappoints! The freshness & burst of flavors are always on point, & the portions are always just right. The menu is marked gluten free (GF), & there are plenty of apps, burritos, & tacos to choose from. You can order online, & there are two locations + a food truck to satisfy your Mexican/Sushi cravings. Suggestion- Indicate dairy free options on the menu or have a separate menu for dietary restrictions (GF/DF/SF).

Cute intimate restaurant. Reasonably priced. Very unique flavor combinations. Vegetarian options: 1 entree & 5 sides. The nachos had tuna on them. I ate around the tuna. I liked them most. The slaw was not what expected. I expected to taste more mango but barely tasted any. The edamame was as expected slightly spicier than I thought, but my husband liked them. I won't be a regular, but the nachos or edamame would be a good snack while drinking a brew at District.

Our neighborhood has been inviting food trucks to come to the local school to provide options during the COVID 19 pandemic. We've been requesting Wasabi Juan's for a while, and this past week they were finally on the schedule! Yay!! Knowing how much of a demand they were in, I told my husband we needed to get there early/right when they opened. We were the 4th order in line, and by the time we left, the line was wrapped around! Ordering/paying was easy, and given their order demand, I felt they were turning them around at a fair pace. We ordered a lot (for multiple meals)... I got the 420 nachos with chicken for dinner and the cowboy for the next day. The nachos were spot on.. just like I had remembered them! Super filling too! The cowboy was good the next day, and the chips and salsa were spot on! My husband doesn't like salsa, so I got his as well! Yum! Hopefully the truck will be back in Trussville area again soon!

Thank you for saving the day Wasabi Juans. It was my son's wedding day. He lives in Florida, but was here for the wedding. His request was Wasabi Juans for lunch before the evening wedding, but none of us could leave the venue because there was so much to do. One of the delivery services was able to deliver, and we were able to feed ourselves and all the groom's men. The food was delicious as usual!!

When not seated at the bar they do have someone to come around to make sure you have what you need. The servers are very nice and tend to remember you, which is a great feeling. The menu rotates seasonally, which makes it easier to try new things. My favorite menu item so far has been the cheeseball that was on the menu around Christmas time. It had a great flavor served with crackers the only thing is when we came back after the first of the year it wasn't on the menu anymore. On my most recent visit I had the queso which also had great flavor, served with blue corn tortilla chips. When it comes to the drinks I like how on the menu they let you know how strong it is using toucans. Many of the drinks feature rum, but they do still offer some gin and tequila options. Everything I've had has been good and something I would try again. I would like to note that many of the drinks are fruity and can be somewhat sweet. At Christmas time they even had holiday themed drinkware which I felt was a nice touch. If you are not a drinker, they also have options for mocktails. Which has been great for me the last couple of months. I didn't care for the Phony Negroni, but I think Negroni itself might be an acquired taste

But I think it's great that they have a place like this here. So, the menu is limited, but it is great for a novice hot pot customer because they won't be overwhelmed. There is only one type of noodles you can get (glass noodles), and only a few selections of red meat and vegetables. But hey, I won't complain, because you can't get it elsewhere. The meat I received were super fatty. There were some when the fat was around 80% of the meat itself. Veggies were good! They have a bar of sauces and other foods you can get and add to your hot pot. Broth was fine, it wasn't anything particular to rave about. The service was great - people were so friendly and nice. They tended to us pretty well. The ambience was really cool! They have screens around the restaurant that play K-pop music videos, which was a super cool touch. 5/5 for the ambience.
