Okay, I'll be the person to leave a bad review. I've been in here twice. She does a good job on my eyebrows, but she doesn't use any astringent or aloe after she's done and I break out super bad. My chin broke out really bad too. I'm careful not to touch them after they've been threaded as well. The owner isn't too friendly. I'm going to throw away my cut card and look for another place that cares more about my skin. Sorry shila. read more

I came into this shop, signed the clipboard and sat down. There were three workers there working on three customers. There were two customers waiting when I arrived. After my arrival came two more customers. They signed the clipboard under me. Then a third customer came who had an appointment. She signed under them. I was sitting in a chair right in front with a BRIGHT RED dress on. The worker closest to register finished her customer and walked past me to the clipboard, picked it up and called one of the two ladies who was waiting before me. The worker working closest to me finished her customer, walked past me, picked the clipboard and acknowledged the last lady who had an appointment but had arrived 20 minutes early. So she took the 2nd lady who was there before me. So next it should be me. But, then the middle worker finished her customer walked past me to the clipboard and acknowledged the appointment lady, but it was still early so she took one of ladies that came AFTER me. Ok. I'm still patient. Maybe there was a reason I was skipped. No problem. Then the first worker finished the woman before me and still before the appointment time and she took the appointment. I'm still waiting. At that point, I felt myself getting upset so I walked over to clipboard, drew a line threw my name and left. I'll never force anyone to do a service for me. It's apparent that they couldn't see my name on the clipboard or me sitting there in this BRIGHT RED dress. I was the ONLY black person in there and I WAS NEVER acknowledged even when my name was clearly on the clipboard. Now I understand how this feels. It doesn't feel good. Okay story time. I don't know if it was just the timing on when I came in to do my eyebrows but I gave this place three tries. The first time I came here this older lady did my eyebrows and did an amazing job it wasn't even that painful for my first time. I was super impressed! I came here the second time looking for the First Lady who did my eyebrows but she wasn't there and these sisters needed a plucking so I just went with whoever was there. It wasn't too bad a little more painful than the first but I kinda expected that. Now this is where I went wrong. I should've asked the First Lady what her name was and how many days a week she was there so that I could stick with her tbh because this is what ruined my experience. My last time there there was a younger lady (I always try to give someone a shot btw) and I told her I just needed a touch up because my eyebrows are pretty shaped they just get a little wearwolfie when you let them grow out. Yo tell me why this girl was pinching the duck out of my skin and burning me with the thread at the same time. It hurt so bad that I cried man. I didn't even cry when I got a Brazilian and I low key wanted to stop like 8 seconds into this and be like you know what I'll DIY this. But I thought maybe I was being weak so I legit sat there waiting for this to end and then when she did my lip I was bawling. We had to stop and I had to wipe away the tears and pray to god for help. I really wish I was over exaggerating this. And trust me my pain tolerance is pretty high. So after that pleasant experience I paid and left. My eyebrows and lip swelled up and felt like sunburns. They were red the rest of the day and even the next day. I put aloe and vitamin E oil to calm the burning and after that I never went back. read more

Shila fixed my messy eyebrows. My brows naturally grow round &&now they look high arched just like I like it. I went with the $25 special which includes brows/lip/chin/sides. You can't beat that for something as important as your face. This was my first time getting anything other then my brows threaded &&it didn't hurt at all. I swell up every time I get my brows threaded but after she used the aloe Vera gel my swelling vanished immediately. I'm definitely hooked &&going back. read more

I was SO happy when Shila told me that she was opening a new location in the SW - I used to drive clear across town to Eastern because all the ladies there work magic on my brows! Tonight was my first time checking out the new store - I arrived 6 minutes before closing (oops!!) but Mina graciously agreed to see me and did an amazing job. I've been looking for a forever place to get my eyebrows threaded and I've been very picky. I've had 7 different women shape my eyebrows in Vegas before I ever visited Shila. The first woman was amazing but she moved away. After looking at old pictures of myself, I realized that my eyebrows used to look a lot better than what they have been looking like the past year. I was determined to find a place that would actually shape my brows again and would stop cutting and hurting me. I was very excited to try Shila's after reading reviews on Yelp. All the hype is real! I came in on a Tuesday afternoon and it was empty. Shila walked out and greeted me. She talked to me and asked me how I wanted my eyebrows shaped. That's a first! I told her what I liked and she did it exactly how I pictured them to look. Amazing! She was very gentle and didn't cut or hurt me at all. It's been over a year since my eyebrows have actually been shaped correctly. The only thing is I forgot to ask her to trim the hairs short so it's easier for me to put eyebrow powder on them. Shila is very nice and cares about her customers' satisfaction. She's at this location Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday's. This location has only been open for 3 months. Thanks Shila! I have been a long time Shila customer and have been getting my eyebrows done at the rainbow location for the past four years. I will NEVER again get my eyebrows done at Shila after the terrible experience I had today on 12/30/20 at around 3:40pm. When I sat in the chair I told the lady helping me that I had been growing my eyebrows out for months and that I just wanted my eyebrows to be cleaned and even. She did completely the opposite. Not only do I now have to spend New Years with completely botched eyebrows, but as well as my birthday in January. I am completely embarrassed and upset with how my eyebrows turned out. My right eyebrow was drastically thinned and looks a completely different shape from my left brow. When I got visibly upset with how my eyebrows turned out, the woman who was helping me told me that was what I asked for, even when I was in tears. I can not believe the unprofessionalism of these workers. Whoever is doing the hiring at this establishment needs to reconsider their employees because now it will take MONTHS to grow out my eyebrows to the thickness they were at. She didn't ask how I wanted my eyebrows but I told her I was trying to grow them out to be thicker. She ended up making them thinner than what they were when I came in! I've been going to Shila for years, I used to go to the Eastern location but recently now go to the rainbow one since it's right by my house. I got my eyebrows done today and I specifically said not to thin it out just to shape and clean up- what I always say every time I come. My right eyebrow is jagged/ uneven and doesn't have a smooth arch and she threaded one section too much, my husband even noticed it. I'm pretty sad because I'm not good at filling my brows and I don't wear much makeup. I'm pretty shocked because they usually always do my brows really well for me but today wasn't a good day. She offered to fix it but at this point the only way to fix it would be to think out my brows more and I really don't want to do that. They're very nice people but I guess I was just unlucky today and unfortunately my brows don't grow in all that fast and im going on vacation for my birthday and anniversary so it makes me more sad. read more
