    More vomit

Disgusting, bug infested and dirty. Horrible management that does not care about the health and safety of their guests. I would not recommend staying here if you're looking for a clean place to sleep.

Stayed 2 nights too long, Price gouging during a pandemic, Claimed to have full breakfast, I saw gravy, Hard biscuits, apple, bananna, Rot gut Coffee. that's it. Staff appeared stagnant and poorly organized. Arrived at 4pm and asked to return in an hour to check in because room was not clean. Hall leading to room was 97 degrees. Trash everywhere.

The lobby, with the stuffed animal.. and the only flat screen.

Planning a trip out to Hood River to visit the wineries I needed a place to stay, and rolled the dice on Priceline which put me in this place. I didn't know what to expect as there have been some not too favorable reviews on Yelp and also on other sites for this location. If you are from the big city your expectations maybe shot down hard coming here, not being used to not being in a nicer establishment, all I needed was one night to stay and sleep during my rounds into this part of the State. Getting here was pretty simple, as the location is very close to the highway, and pulling up, it's right next to a Chevron you really can't miss it, right off the highway exit, bam.. and tons of parking.. like tons!! When you get in this place, the reception area feels like an old style lodge, very wooden, with some colorful tacky carpet, like you have been whisked away back to the 80's in one of those National Lampoon Vacation movies, it's really out of date, it maybe hard for you to adjust your internal system to this! After my confirmation check in, I was given a key, a real key, you know, the little flat metal thing with indistinguishable teeth that goes into a door, it's this old fashioned here, no swipe cards, and you better not lose this key, or you are not getting into your room. The room we were in was seperated from the main lobby structure, and luckily it was close to the entrance door, as I had lot's of luggage that needed to get in this room. When you enter the room, after wrestling with the key to open the lock, you will either accept it, or cringe at what you see in this hotel room. As I said above, like a bad memory from yesteryear is the color patterns, of a place that needs an entire makeover, but it is still liveable. There's an old tube tv (wow.... they still use these?), there is a good sized fridge, queen size bed (whch felt like a twin), a coffee table with two chairs, and long cupboard, mirror, seperate area for the washroom with a sink seperate from the toilet and bathtub. In all, for what you get, not bad, it was clean, as we did look around (always fearful of bed bugs!) but for what we got for it, we accepted it as is. When you stay here you do get a voucher for the next morning's breakfast which is in the restaurant in the lobby, and you get a choice of: 1) bicsuit, gravy and fresh fruit cup, 2) pancake, egg and 2 sausage links, or 3) scrambled eggs, ham and toast. It's not the regular continental breakfast here.. a lot better, I did not try this, but if you end up here... they do give you food. The wifi was wonky for most of the time we were in the room, I stayed for one night and it was ok, as just a place to stay, sleep, and go. No bites, so it's safe, and easily accessible.

This is an interesting place. The building is old and contents and decor outdated. While the room and furnishings were old, the sheets and towels were clean. That is the only good. The breakfast coupon is very limited to three choices, one choice is, one pancake, one egg, and two sausages with one beverage. I ate in the restaurant but when I asked about taking my wife's to the room, It would be a one dollar charge. Now at night when relaxing on the deck enjoying a drink, the bar staff decided to come out to smoke and swear. After a few f-bombs by staff, we just went back to the room. Wifi in the room was useless. Wired connection worked but died the last night I was there. Had to use phone as a hotspot for connectivity. A coworker took a picture of her first floor window. The latch was broke and a stick was being used to keep it closed. We will not return and will recommend others do not stay here.

Kevin and Andy want you to visit the real people, the real thing, so they will take you to real places. The chosen hotels and restaurants are modest, family run businesses. Excursions and their guides are carefully selected to give you an insight into the country and what makes it tick. Kendi goes all out to pave the way so you can enjoy each moment. And, did I mention how reasonable their prices are? These trips are value packed! If you're used to high end hotels and lazing around a pool all day (There is some of that), this isn't it. The emphasis is on a small group adventure, yet both times I have felt so safe and cared for. Kendiworldadventures.com shows you exactly what you'll do. Just go! Make new friends and/or bring your old ones. Pura vida!

Andi and Kevin (the tour guides and world travelers) have thoroughly vetted this trip so that there are no surprises (except delightful ones!). Picture yourself walking among the thin mists of a rainforest at treetop level or...swaying rhythmically atop a gentle horse as you explore the flanks of a volcano...or having a small, delightful monkey on your shoulder eating banana from your hand. Just as great are the serendipitous moments (getting caught in the rain at an open air market, eating barbequed yucca for the first time, wading in the warm surf while iguanas lounge in beachside trees). I am sure the group I toured with must have been the best in the world (but I am also sure that any group that tours with Kevin and Andi will say the same). Perhaps, the best thing is that it is YOUR tour. It can be as "zip line" exciting or as "lounge by the pool" relaxing as you choose. As they say in Costa Rica, PURA VIDA, the good life !

They start on time, so don't mess around and miss the bus (though not sure they'd leave anyone, it's a friendly place). Mikie communicated expectations well from the jump and got us to and from safely. Trevor was a great raft guide, clearly loves what he does, and as far as I could tell, does it well. Would row for him again for sure. Rode a raft with a family my partner and I didn't know, it was a good time all around. Will probably hit up another tour next summer for fun, was worth it. Tips? Kinda? You could easily hit this and another outing in one day. Set your timing right and you could ride and then raft, this is certainly a good time but it doesn't take long door to door. If you care about pics sit in the front. If you're worried about rowing, don't sit on the right for big eddy (the guide will likely seat folks for safety and row power anyhow). Not sure I need to say this but I will, there isn't a dry seat on the raft. The road to the spot is bumpy, sit toward the front if that bothers you. If your kids not taller than an oar, they likely won't get one. There are two spots you'll be offered to jump in.
