These signs are plastered everywhere in the lobby! Welcome to Shilo Inn!

It's a shame that the lobby makes a guest want to flee, because the selectively updated room was very clean and comfortable. Updated flooring, paint, light fixtures and linen made it a welcoming room.

From the reviews my husband and I are blessed we only stayed one night. I told my husband I bet we got a good room. We was at the end of the hallway by the stairs. I can tell the couch in our room was new. The room was very large. The hotel towels need to be replaced. They did not have enough towels and the shower towels were not large enough. Someone had a dog that barked most of the morning. Guest with pets and guest without pets should ALWAYS Have separate rooms! Our room was clean as well!

    Mildew and hair in shower.

Where do I start? When I checked in, I was told that all doors are locked at 9:30pm... and that if you leave after 9:30pm... you will be locked out and would not be let back into the motel until 10am the next day. This sent me into an absolute panic... because life happens sometimes. Than when I get to the room... I find mildew in the shower along with hair, cracks in the walls, smelly and gross stains on the furniture... I'm almost positive the couch had bodily fluid from a guy, dirty and outdated appliances, the shades behind the curtains looked like they had been ripped out... so you only had the room darkening shades. It felt so gross I checked for bed bugs... thankfully there were none of those. All in all... I'll never stay here again. I will never EVER recommend this motel. You can get much better rooms for the same price other places.

You get what you pay for. Good price, standard room, no breakfast, weird smell in the halls. It did what it needed to do.

Would have been nice to be told when we checked in at 2:45 pm. that they we're running later than the 20 minutes we were originally told. So we'll be having a conversation about check in and out times. Yes, the cleaning crew has extra duties do to Covid-19. Not my problem! I was told check in is at 3:00 pm not 3:43. So waiting almost three quarters of an hour to get into our rental wasn't that bad. The grounds are awesome. Lots of cool plants. Chickens and Duck's running around. A couple awesome Dogs that are very friendly. Each T. H. is different but they all have BBQ'S. our bbq is a tad rusty inside but it look's usable. There used to be a Disc Gllf Course here but its been turned into an Event Space. I don't know when the change was made but I saw pics from 2018. The loft is a low ceiling and the bedroom is a little cramped but still pretty awesome for a T.H. The Bathroom is good sized. I was pleasantly surprised at it's size. I really like all the wood interior. Really charming. The Kitchen isn't huge but definitely Full Size. A 10 Gallon Hot Water Tank gives you about a 10 minute shower, so no lounging. Covid-19 is still among us so most of Oregon is still in lock-down. Most businesses are closed and there'll be No Fireworks this year but the weather is decent and were at the coast. Worth it! I needed this weekend. I just got laid off to join the 1 in 3 Americans who are unemployed currently. I'll take a siesta and get another J. O. B. So, for now, I'm going to enjoy this weekend with my family.

The room was fairly standard but definitely clean, and we enjoyed our stay. The actual room had the typical hotel fare. The floors were not carpeted, which I prefer (I can see that they are clean!). Our bed had the usual very thin blankets, but the front desk provided me with an extra when we asked. The room's heat and AC were very good. The room cooled and warmed quickly, and they don't lock the heat/AC like some places do. The amenities were a little sporadic. The pool was excellent (again, very clean) and there were towels by the poolside in case you forgot to bring yours down. The gym is small, and while it might be user error, the belt on the treadmill felt so loose to me that I opted to run outside rather than risk it. It was no great loss-- running along the farming backroads was absolutely lovely. The breakfast was... okay. On check-in, we were given a menu of 4-5 items to order from for the following morning. The burrito I received was small and there weren't really vegetarian options. I would caution folks that are considering this place for their breakfast that it is not a full continental or a buffet. This is a small place and the price is reasonable so I actually don't mind that the breakfast is the way it is, but because it is advertised I did come in with a different expectation. Staff were friendly, check in and out were easy, and the location is super close to the Tillamook Factory. There's a Fred Meyer across the street in case you forgot to pack something. Overall, a pleasant experience, and I would stay here again.

Had to sleep with ear plugs in and a sound machine on. Allows 10+ people into one room. Carpeting is heavily stained and smells like urine. One breakfast item per room (even if multiple people are in the same room.) Breakfast needed to be ordered the night before and is extremely small. Coffee was brown water. Bed had an extremely thin blanket on it, so much so that we had to use the bath towels for extra warmth. The one nice thing I can say is that it was a roof over my head.

If spending time by the ocean and visiting the various sites around the Oceanside/Netarts/Tillamook…read moreregion is your priority, you could do much worse than booking a cabin at Oceanside Ocean Front Cabins. We've stayed here twice and enjoyed both of our visits. The cabins are small, clean, rustic. Bed, bathroom, microwave, small refrigerator. Decent enough wifi. Plenty of parking space. What else do you need? The cabins are reasonably priced and couldn't be closer to the ocean, and the manager, Joe, is kind and helpful and willing to go out of his way to make sure your stay at the cabins goes well. Dogs are welcome. We'll stay here again. Great beach, by the way. One of the nicest on the Oregon Coast.

This place cares less about you than not caring at all. They must actively loathe guests.

I stayed here to attend a close friend's wedding, but instead of celebrating, I was forcibly removed from the hotel while trying to travel with my medical service animal. During the eviction incident, staff members filmed me on their personal devices while aggressively claiming my dog did not 'look like a service dog.' For context, I live with a severe, invisible cardiac condition (SVT) that causes dangerous heart rate spikes. My dog was trained to track my physical distress to ensure my safety. Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), service animals do not require a specific breed or a mandatory vest. Management went so far as to hunt down my personal social media. They found a lighthearted, sarcastic inside joke I had posted for friends pretending to sneak my late mother's puppies into another while she was battling colon cancer, and tried to weaponize it as evidence of a 'history' to retroactively justify their real-time discrimination against a disabled guest. Being recorded in a moment of medical vulnerability, forced out during a wedding weekend, and ultimately cyberstalked by hotel management was way too far. It was absolutely devastating. I am sharing this so that other individuals traveling with service animals or invisible illnesses are aware of how this establishment treats its guests.
