Took the family dog their for his rainbow service as he was getting old with bad arthritis and not able to do move around well or do the things that he enjoyed. Our old cat wasn't well due to kidney issues. We thought we were going to have to put him down. Dr. Baird did blood work and the levels were lower than last time due to the kidney food and fluids 3 times a week. Turns out he had a stomach bug and with some meds and a shot for the arthritis, he is almost as good as new What a great experience! read more

WHEW. I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMAL HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO PAY BIG MONEY. I saw one doctor specifically, long red hair with a ponytail, never even took the time to introduce himself. I spent almost $500 on tests for my kitten with diarrhea. It wasn't until the fourth and final visit there, they finally gave me the things to do a stool sample test upon MY REQUEST. Long story short, and a new vet later, come to find out my kitten just had a binge eating disorder and literally ate so much his tummy couldn't keep up. Super unfriendly atmosphere, the nicest people in that place are the front desk staff and techs. Save yourself the time and don't go to this place. The male vet with the ponytail seems like he has better things to do than care about the health of your fur baby(ies)!! read more

The people at Shiloh have been taking care of my dog Molly for quite some time now and now that it's the end of her time with us, they were about to give up (terminal liver cancer spread to lungs) but didn't! After 2 or 3 unsuccessful attempts to manually empty her bladder we were about to put her to sleep but when my brother went to pick her up, they tried again and was successful!! With medication and the Vets not giving up we may have her for one last Christmas!!! I lost my first dog on my birthday and my dad two days before Xmas years ago, I wasn't prepared to lose another loved one the same time my dad died! Hard for me to re-rate this. I took my cat who was very nervous about going there in a carrier as, to her, it meant she was being given away since she came from being in an animal shelter and Humane Society for the 1st 8 mo. of her life. That is why I wish for a mobile vet. Luckily Shiloh is close to my house. She had a rash on her neck and under back legs with lots of crusty lesions. She had Capstar, Convenia injection (which cost $66) and prednisone syrup and still has the same rash and issues. Even with using Revolution. I spent $138 on the visit with no improvement so it is upsetting when just to go back, an office visit costs $50. I am giving her Zyrtec now but difficult to give her the pills without her detecting its taste! Tried pill pockets which she happily tried til she got to the center. Now she won't touch even an empty pill pocket because it reminds her of the close encounter! :) read more

Was told my elderly boxer is not a "regular" patient even though been coming there for years. Last visit was in Feb of 2019 for a check on boxer's teeth and general health concerns. I do take my three dogs to clinic for yearly immunizations and I can only conclude that in their opinion this is why my dogs are not "regular" patients. I have no doubt that this is a different philosophy than the doctor who started this practice. He is a wonderful, caring doctor and only cares for the pets wellbeing over the business aspect. I have two dogs and started using this vet with both since I moved to the area. Mostly, I loved them. Then I brought my chihuahua in for teeth cleaning and extraction. It's a procedure they said was very common in small dogs, especially chihuahuas. While under anesthesia, his body temperature was dropping so they put him on a heating pad. Trigger warning, this part gets hard to read. The heating pad burned his skin all along one side of his body. We spent weeks trying sprays and creams to get the skin to heal, but it started turning black and dying. Then we had surgery to cut out the dead parts and Frankenstein him together as best they could. So for weeks he was in excruciating pain while he lived with 3rd degree burns, then he had to go through surgery, which mean more anesthesia and stress. The healing process from that was long and arduous. It's tough to keep a dog from moving around too much. I missed a ton of work, but more importantly, my dog is permanently disfigured. Worst of all, he's different psychologically. He's more timid and anxious than ever and doesn't want to leave my side. He's a totally different dog. Because his skin is so tight, even his gait is different. Shiloh Vet promised a refund on the surgery that did all of this damage to us, but never came through. After it was all said and done, they claimed they never offered our money back and that they shouldn't have to refund us. They said they did extract a couple of teeth and clean the rest, regardless of the fact that he almost died in the process. They were kind to us while they tried to fix the damage, but we won't be returning to this vet. I understand that mistakes happen, but they didn't really try to make it right and we paid a ton of money for a botched surgery. read more

I needed to take my cat in for what appeared to be an eye infection. The website advertised a free check up for new clients. I called and made the appt for the next day. The initial exam was free just as they said it would be. They seemed good with my cat and listened to our concerns. 40.00 eye medication later we were on our way and our cat's eye Is much better. I am soooo glad that I have discovered Shiloh Veterinary Hospital. I have recently moved out from California and was looking for a good vet near by. I initially was looking for a place where I could board the cats. The other place I checked out really smelled of strong, industrial cleaner and they could not take me to the back where the cats would stay. So I went to Shiloh Veterinary Hospital to check the out. It smelled really nice and staff were super nice. I was worried as I have never boarded our cats but the staff took really good care of them. They knew my cats by name and had figured out their characters. Dr. Baird is fantastic. She suggested something over the counter for my kitty with bronchitis and it worked! Unfortunately he reverted back to being diabetic so I had to take him in. I feel very comfortable leaving him there as I know the staff will take good care of him. read more

I just want to let everyone know how amazing this vet is! The doctors and staff are tremendously great. A couple of week ago one of our dogs woke up with half of his body paralyzed and I took him to Shiloh Veterinary Hospital. By the time I made it it was lunch time and I was told they don't see anyone during 12-2 but they made an exception for us. They were sol helpful in providing me my options and ultimately with putting him down. It was a hard decision but they helped me every step of the way and moved at my speed. read more

I love Dr. Baird! The first appointment with my Boxer puppy she sat on the floor and fully examined the wiggly puppy. Later in that dogs life she found a tiny little bump during a regular exam, biopsied it and it unfortunately was lymphoma cancer and we were referred to an oncologist. Because she found it so early my pup lived 3x longer than her initial prognosis and had excellent quality of life the entire rest of her life. read more

Often times people don't write down their feelings when things go bad, but I have decided not this time. I have been going to Shiloh Veterinary Hospital for Many years with multiple dogs. Recently my dog had a situation that was not easily resolved. It took over 6 visits and over several thousand $$ to finally get to the bottom of it or so I thought. Repeat visits, biopsies, repeat blood work, repeat sedation, xrays, referred out, referred back in and the situation persists. My best guess is that Dr. Baird should have referred us out long before she did but was only giving us glimmers of hope that the situation was getting a little bit better so she could keep all of the revenue in house. It was clear she did not know what was wrong and neither did her colleagues and we had a situation that was far beyond their level of expertise. That said my husband and I were lied to, treated unprofessionally, over priced and still I really don't know what was wrong with my dog since the situation is back. Unprofessional is an understatement and Dr. Baird should be ashamed for her condescending behavior as well as one staff member who flat out lied.... and the office manager even stated that what HE did was wrong. When Dr. Lorrence was there full time, things were a LOT better but now we are left with a Dr. who was caught changing prescriptions, originally she wrote a refill for approximately 26 days but when my husband questioned her and the tech then confirmed she would write it for longer, my husband ripped up and put in an envelope so she could see we did not use it or fill it. We thought that was the ethical thing to do as it related to prescriptions. We had asked for Dr. Baird to call to discuss 2 times that day and she never did so I brought them back in the following morning again causing me delays in my day and after 45 minutes of waiting she wrote it for 14 days and told me to set up another appointment for a recheck in 14 days. If just the day before it was acceptable to write it for longer, why today was it just for 14 days? And if the last time it happened she gave a refill on the prescriptions why couldn't she do it this time? Punitive and yet another money grab. (we always take the prescriptions and get filled at the regular pharmacy as we use good rx and are able to save a few $$) Kroger had to call the vet on more than one occasion to get clarification on a prescription that was not spelled out properly once and the dosage was wrong a second time. Neither of which could have seriously caused harm to my dog, but careless none the less. Both times causing me to wait double at the pharmacy and causing me to be late for appointments. Finally, when I asked to get my dog's records as I was going to be leaving their practice and find an honorable doctor's office to take my dogs to, not only did she note the chart, client is going elsewhere with 6 exclamation points and a smiley face, she did a HAPPY dance within my sight. I wonder if Dr. Baird will be doing the same Happy Dance when she see's other clients taking their pets somewhere else based on this lack of professionalism and respect or if we are just a paycheck for her? I wonder if a relationship of over 15 years and many dogs is even warrants a phone call from the owner/ owner's of this establishment? I bet not!! Will not be back, will not EVER recommend again as I had done many times before the last 6 months of this cycle of inadequate and incompetent service to say the least and that is an understatement!!! UPDATE- I left a message for the owner the second week of December and it was noted to have him call back. I got an auto response that he was out of the office and would call me back once he returned on the 17th of December- Still no word. read more

Took' my dog there with Pink eye. I was told he just had allergy's. Then my second dog got the same infection in one eye, they still maintained that it was an allergy. Now my Mothers dog has it also. and they have the nerve to tell me, Conjunctivitis, or Pink Eye is NOT contagious. They have cost me a lot of money, and put my 6 month grand daughter at risk. We've been bringing our dog here for 3 or 4 years. Since he was a pup. Aside from still not knowing his name after correction every single time, it's a different doctor every time I've come. My dog has seizures. Ridiculous expensive meds. Ridiculous expensive testing. He has chronic ear infections and still they want to charge every time for a culture (as though they and I both don't know what it is). It's ALWAYS more expensive when we pick him up for anything being done to him than they say when we drop him off. Today he went for a bath and to get nails trimmed, what was 30 bucks turned to 86 because now they require flu shots for a bath. Bad enough. Then when we pick him up, instead of the 86 dollars (for a bath and nails trimmed) the total was now 147 dollars. No explanation, no apology, instead they embarassed my wife in front of other customers. It's this EVERY TIME. So this time we've decided to never give this place our money again. And I highly recommend you go anywhere but shiloh vet hospital. We got his paperwork to go somewhere else next time, in looking through it, so far we see our dog has a tumour THAT NO ONE HERE EVER MENTIONED TO US. This establishment cares nothing about your dog. I took my senior dog in for a general exam. Everyone there was provided excellent customer service! The wait was not too long, the entire place from the time I entered to the exam room was extremely clean and smelled fresh. Natalia who was the vet tech who trimmed his nails was fantastic with him and very sweet! The Doctor was very caring and knowledgeable. I really appreciate the fact that they did not ever try and up sale me more than what my dog needed. A great place would highly recommend them. read more

I liked Shiloh and Dr. Baird at first, for just routine visits, but when my beloved boy got very very ill, I started spending hundreds of dollars, getting a runaround, I got medications I couldn't use because the syringes didn't work, I don't think his illness was diagnosed correctly, and it seemed like his profuse bleeding was just dismissed - he finally died and I'm still grieving him and feeling I didn't do right by him. Rude office manager; big hassle occurred when services were conducted which I was not informed of and did not give approval for; Spent nearly $300 and still have no real idea what is wrong with the pet and was treatly rudely when trying to get clarification regarding why I was not given an estimate before services would be done (I asked for one!) or notified that additional services than what was discussed and agreed to would be performed. They price gouge their meds! Gave me 12 Tramadol for my dog and charged me $16.00. I take Tramadol and pay $6.00 for 90. Ridiculous!! Also, I bought Trifexis from them for about $110 and 6 months later it went up to $140? While it's still $100. online. Plus, knowing that my dog has cancer, they want to keep her coming back in to "make sure that's what it is". I've paid them close to $2000. in less than a year. No more! I will drive the distance to go back to my old vet..who doesn't price gouge and try to keep us coming in for no good reason! read more
