I have boarded my dogs here twice and have had them groomed here often for years. Since they bought the bfur and after groomers, creekside's attitude has gone downhill. The groomers are professional, but the behavior of the owner/manager has become unacceptably rude. Today was the last straw. I had purchased a gift certificate months ago before COVID surged. I bought it from 2 of our dogs that go there often for another dog who has since gone back to its owner. I asked if I could use the $45 from the certificate for today's groom. Now, if she has said "no we don't let people transfer them between pets," or "no, it's not recent enough," or "no you'll have to use it another time because you didn't tell me at drop off," I would have understood and would not likely be writing this review. BUT NO! She stood there and repeatedly accused me of printing it at home and lying. She insisted she's the only one authorized to print them. That may be so, but as I told her, it was a young girl at the desk who sold it to me about 4 grooms ago. She printed it right on the printer in the front area. Then, the manager accused me lying because I didn't tell her about the certificate when I dropped the dog off, but I wasn't sure at that time if I could even find it. Again, if that was an issue, couldn't she offer to let me use it the next time? Couldn't we compromise on a lesser amount? Or couldn't she let me know the certificate couldn't be used without accusing me of forging it!!?? I'm a regular customer. She could have easily said no without standing there for two+ minutes yelling at me and accusing me of forgery like a mad woman. THEN to top it off, she swore and slammed the desk door, yelled "after dealing with COVID for a year, I'm done!" And then slammed the door to the kennels. I wouldn't want this woman near my dogs again. I don't need her $45. However, I expect respect and appropriate responses to questions. Not accusations and rants. Looking forward to finding a new boarding and grooming facility that deserves my business. ---- Update: This morning, the owner called and admit she found the record of someone selling me a certificate in Jan 2020. I've been bringing my Shih Tzu to Misty for grooming for almost 4 years. 3.5 of those years I lived 30 miles away in Atlanta, but Misty was worth the drive. She always give my baby a great clip, so looks so cute every time I pick her up. Most importantly, Misty loves the dogs she grooms and treats them like they were her own. I know that my dog will be taken care of and loved on when I bring her to Misty. I am so happy that Misty isn't working at that big place on Barrett Parkway, I much prefer supporting a local business. read more

Would absolutely not recommend. We left our dogs here for a week when we went on vacation, and called several times while we were gone to check on our dogs. Each time, we were told everything was good, dogs were great. When we went to pick up, dogs were panicky and covered in scratches and cuts on their face. One dog also had infected eyes - crusty dryness all around eyes, green eye boogers, redness, etc. Our other dog, which we didn't notice this until we were home, had hair loss and rash on 6 inch sections on her back hips. We asked to speak to the boarding manager and she claimed that she was out the day before and it must've happened then.... After now THREE visits to the vet, several rounds of antibiotics and steroid injections, our vet believes they got the infections from the boarder considering they've never had these issues before. I have been using Creekside Pet Hotel for many years. I use their daycare weekly. I also have my terrier groomed periodically. I would board him when I was traveling. My dog loves going there. They maintain a clean facility. The staff is friendly and professional. They are responsible and I recommend them to anyone who wishes to use any of their services for their pet. read more

Okay....I have to give this place my highest rating.. I would give more stars if I could. Unfortunately, I have to travel very often for work. If i was smart, I would have given my Japanese Chin dog away a long time ago because of all the boarding I have to do. I am just so dang attached to the 7 lb little guy that I just can't do it. (See pic of "Dewey" in my profile") My dog has heart issues and requires medication twice a day. I trust them to make sure he gets this medication. The owner has a show dog background and you can tell the staff likes these pets they look after. I board my dog at least once a month.......usually much more often.... and I highly recommend this place for your pets. It is a very convenient location for all you Kennesaw and Acworth residents. PS....If you need your pet boarded during the holidays....Book way in advance.. They fill up fast. read more

Left my dog here for two nights, the day I came to pick her up she ran for the door did not even greet us just made a beeline for the door where she immediately went potty. She never goes in the inside ever and it was clear she had not been walked that day and had been holding it. It was 5pm. I have never seen her urinate for that long. Very disappointed and upsetting. Wehave been very satisfied patrons of Creekside Pet Hotel for the past 4 years for our St Bernard and Husky. Today when I picked them up after a 5 day stay and grooming I was shocked and heartbroken to see that our St Bernard has been shaved - right down yo his pink skin on his hind quarters! All of his beautiful feathering has. been shaved, as well as his ears, head, back and body! I am outraged! The desk clerk's response was flippant showing a lack of empathy or customer service. I will NEVER again trust my pets to be groomed by Jamie or at Creekside Pet Hotel again. BEWARE! While this may seem trivial to some, it is not. A St Bernard's coat and feathering will not grow back in the same way after being shaved like this. Our boy is 8 years old and has never been messed up like this! read more

I've been getting my dog groomed with Misty for years and there is no one else I trust! My husband and I moved a few years ago and I still drive over an hour to see Misty. I used to work with her when she was at another location and I've seen firsthand how gentle and patient she is, even when dogs are afraid or aggressive. She's always so sweet to my aging dog and makes him look and feel amazing. I would recommend her to anyone! read more

MEH...is about right, of course my review is based on 1 stay, but i can say we would not recommend this boarding to anyone, we even told our vet some of the issues and they stopped referring people here. SO our 1 story goes like this. We needed a quick boarding since our vet is always booked, they recommended creekside, this alone was valuable enough for us to call, and I will say the prices are ok but if you drive a little further you will find better places for the same or less. Upon arriving at the location the first thing i notices was all the poop around the doors, i had to walk around some right in front of the door, i told the receptionist and she just said ok. I asked to see the kennels and they said "sorry you are not able to see the actual kennels" This should have been my final big red flag, but we were short on time without many options. Note to self for boarding pay attention to the red flags!. This is the first time i have been to a kennel that did not show the facility, any place that has this policy AVOID. It is easy enough that a disclaimer can be signed or at least a quick look at the area. I suspect this is because of the low quality they provided on this one experience. The next day when i dropped off the dogs, sure enough the poop was still there. Our dogs came back with redness in the ears from over use or carelessness of a dryer, We had to take our 1 year old afghan hound to a pet wash even though they said they bathed him, and we removed a few mats (not uncommon for an afghan) Our rough collie is the one that had red ears and you could tell she just did not like the place, when we picked her up she usually is running all around wanting attention from everyone, when we picked her up this time she pulled us out the door! Over all I am sure the grooming might be good, but if you are looking for boarding, i would really look other places. Especially with bigger dogs. And again any Boarding that can not or will not show you the actual facilities AVOID those. Even our vet was surprised at this. read more

Our dog has been going to day here once a week for a couple of months. Our trainer recommended it to help with her energy! We have only had good experiences with Creekside and their staff! This past weekend, we boarded our baby there for the first time! I was so impressed with all their extra services without a huge extra price tag! She was able to get a large room with a patio, and have extra one-on-one time each day for less than we have spent on other places in the past! I called every morning and the staff was so happy to answer all my questions! We will continue to board here for all our vacations!! read more

I boarded my cat Luna Belle Jackson with them September 21st-29th. I picked her up that Saturday and ever since I have picked her up she has NOT been herself. She had been overgrooming herself, biting at her skin, aggression, lethargic and had discharge coming from her eyes to the point where her left eye was closed the entire day yesterday. I gave it a few days to see if her symptoms would lessen or go away and they did not. They have gotten worse. I brushed through her hair and noticed she has MULTIPLE bloody scabs on her. Located around her ears, chin and back. I freaked out and called the vet. I took her to the vet this morning and what they told me is quiet unacceptable. Animal Hospital let me know that Luna HAD fleas and that she is ALLERGIC to the flea saliva which is why she has scabs. Then he began to brush through her and found a flea. He than began to tell me that she has a cold and that's what the discharge is from her eyes and that is why her eyes wouldn't open. She is an indoor cat ONLY, in a studio apartment with me and my boyfriend. NOT AROUND ANY OTHER ANIMALS. So, it leads me to believe that she got this while she was in Creekside's care. She had to get 2 shots while she was at the vet. I guess what I am wondering is why no one noticed that she was biting at her skin to the point of giving herself MULTIPLE scabs. I was charged $161.78 at the vet today. I emailed with Creekside and they never got back to me after their first response. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE WITH YOUR ANIMALS. PLEASE!!! They do not care about your animals. No animal deserves the treatment my cat got while under their care. I received no empathy for what was going on. 0 Star business. read more

I actually went to Creekside for my 5 month old puppy after reading the great reviews on Yelp--they are true! My puppy LOVES doggy daycare here, and their daycare packages are the cheapest it gets, while not slacking on quality. I always ask how he did, and the staff are very attentive, tell me which dogs he played with that day, and if he ate food at lunch time. Have only had good experiences so far and will be boarding here in the future since he loves it! read more

We used Creekside for several years and never had a problem. The staff have been great and very accommodating. We boarded our dog with Creekside over the 2019 Christmas break. After my son picked our dog up and brought her back to the house, he noticed she was having a difficult time walking. We examined her paws and saw that at least two of the pads (one on each paw) had puncture wounds. Our vet took x-rays of her paws and told us that the paws were severely bruised, but nothing appeared to be broken or torn. The puncture holes were stitched closed and we were told to keep a close eye on her paws. She was put on anti-inflammatory and pain medicines. Over the next few days, the paws got worse, one of the pads suffered a complete breakdown and split wide open. As a result the vet had to surgically remove one of her toes! Fortunately, the other paw healed on its own. When we called Creekside, we were told they did not know how she injured herself but that they were "really busy" during that time and that while they had noticed "some blood" in her kennel they didn't know the source (her injured paws). Nobody told my son about this when he picked her up even though something horrible must have happened while she was in their care. Given the pain my dog went through, and the very high vet bills that were incurred, we simply asked of the owner that she refund the cost of the dog's care while she stayed at Creekside (note that we did NOT ask her to pay the much higher bills for the vet, surgery, pain medicine, etc.). She said she would refund the money (i.e. an admission of responsibility) but would only do that if we signed a "document" (I assume a release of liability) AND we had to come in between 9 and 6 pm during the work week. Both my wife and I have full time jobs. We requested to come on a Saturday (Creekside is open on Saturdays), but the owner refused! Apparently it was asking too much for her to give up a 1/2 hour of her time on a Saturday. Furthermore, never once did she apologize for what happened to our dog, express any sympathy for the situation, or inquire as to how our dog was doing. So while I do NOT blame the staff at Creekside for any of this, my conclusion is that the owner could care less about our pet and is solely in the business for money. So while things are great when everything is going well, don't count on the owner to be of any help if something goes wrong! By the way, I informed her that I would not sign any of her documents and did not take a refund. read more

So me and my now husband got married this past weekend. Before that, we never boarded our dogs. We've had one dog for 5 years!" and maybe boarded him twice when he was a little puppy. And one dog that's about 9/10 months old and never boarded her. I emailed them before dropping my 5 year German Shepard, Bear, off that he has really high anxiety levels and that he doesn't like to play with other dogs. They were SO accommodating when it came to him. They loved on him the moment he walked through that door and I could tell they were going to do whatever they could to make him comfortable. They also put up with my 1000 questions and directions. And were very patient with me as I wanted to say good bye and comfort him a little. I was so embarrassed to be THAT owner but I didn't care and they didn't seem to care either. They even allowed me to walk him back to his pen personally so I could get him situated. Of course the puppy had no issues and just wanted to go play with the other dogs. It was so comforting leaving them there. I called them once that afternoon just to check up on them and the girl on the phone was sooooo sweet. I was so comforted that I didn't even call the rest of the weekend. I knew they were in good hands. When my mother in law went to go pick them up, she said that bear looked like he barely wanted to leave! And he loves his Grammy! So again, I felt incredibly comfortable. It was a little bit of a drive for us but to be honest, I may never try another kennel again. Such a great experience. Such a great staff. My dog hates going to the vet - it is so traumatic for him. We had to find a place to board him other than the vet. This pet hotel had patio suites where my dog could have outdoor access whenever he wanted. I took a tour and did not see any stacked cages - just nice size, floor cages for inside only boarding. It was also very clean. The employees were all very nice and friendly. When I picked up my dog, one of the caretakers explained how he reacted the first day, anxious, a little aggressive when approached but got better each day and enjoyed being able to go outside whenever he wanted. I knew my dog would be nervous and could be somewhat aggressive in new situations but after talking to the staff when I picked him up, I feel I have now found him a good place to stay when we need to board him. read more

I used Creekside for my dog because my regular boarder was full. They close at 12 on Saturday, but were quick to tell me they have "courtesy hours" on Sunday from 4-6. What they didn't tell me is that if you utilize the courtesy hours, because honestly who can get home from vacation before 12 on Saturday, you get charged as if your pet was staying Sunday night, too. So because of their early closing hours and their "courtesy hours" I wound up paying another $60. I think they need to let the customer know this ahead of time, while they are very happily offering their "courtesy hours". As a follow up to my review, I must say the manager was very happy to refund $30 after I sent her an email about the situation. I am very appreciative of her understanding and willingness to refund the money. I do want to make people aware of this policy though so no one else is surprised when they pick up their pet on Sunday. read more

Creekside Pet Hotel is very different as in many cases the animals are not behind bars. This allows for better pictures. The zoo is not too big to walk through in a few hours and shows a good mix of animals. read more

I felt awful leaving my dog and cat, but it made me feel better that the staff was so happy to show me the kennels. When I went to scope out the facility, I found happy dogs playing in their enclosed fence and spacious indoor/outdoor kennels. I happily signed my dog up for their daycare, but she's elderly and was more interested in laying out in the sunshine. They accommodated what she actually wanted, putting that above the extra fee they could have charged me. I love this place and am definitely coming back. read more

I was looking for a new daycare for my dog to try out. I took my dog to Creekside Pet Hotel because of their low prices. I went and spoke with a manager (turned out to be her last day of work there). She informed me that the Pet hotel has had several customers in the past that which they have accommodated by opening their doors for business about 10 to 20 minutes early. I was informed that this was done for customers that wish to drop off their dogs early because they have to be to work at 7:30am. When I called back, I spoke with the owner of the company and she treated me as if I was a liar. She stated that it was not true and that she would not be coming any earlier than 7am. I felt as though she really didn't care for my business and that is why accommodations had not given. The owner didn't even try to work with me even after I informed her that one of her own staff members gave out that information. My dog seemed to have been happy but as a customer I didn't feel as though their hours of operation are accommodating to all customers nor did I get exceptional customer service. I will not be bringing my dog back but I guess who cares in the first place..right. read more

I was just about in tears having to leave our pup for three weeks while out of state for business. He had been to Creekside many times for daycare - which he always seems to enjoy - but never stayed overnight. But when I asked to have a picture emailed to me I saw his happy face and knew all was well and he was having fun. The yards are large and not over-crowded with all the dogs out at once. The suites are a good size and clean, the extras offered are worthwhile, the young people who work with the dogs are friendly and obviously love dogs. There's no problem with letting the dogs bark when they play, something we surprisingly found unacceptable at another "play" place. Their kind dog trainer Francis is professional and communicates well with both the dog and it's family. Our pup came home with an adorable clip for his first real grooming experience. All in all it seems he had the vacation they promised and we will definitely board him here again. The only thing I would suggest is video availability or regular emailed photos so we can see for ourselves that our little darlings are doing well while in the care of Creekside. read more

Our dog Riley absolutely loves Creekside! When we take him for doggy day care or even to board him during a trip. All I have to do is say lets go play and get his bag and he is sitting/jumping/whining by the door ready to go. When we get there he runs straight to the back and doesn't think twice while pulling the staff member along with him. The staff has always been so wonderful and has nothing but good things to say about Riley when he stays. They played fetch with him one time for over an hour and only stopped because Riley was tired. We also have him bathed and groomed there while he stays and not only is it very reasonably priced, they do a great job! I have nothing but great things to say about this place and am so happy Riley has a place to play on occasion during the week and a trustworthy and great place for him when we travel. If I could rate this place with more stars I would and I definitely recommend you check it out! read more

I don't usually write reviews, but I just have to praise Creekside Kennels. I have three dogs, two of whom are seniors, and I couldn't be happier with this kennel. The staff is extremely friendly and just awesome. My girls are clean, safe and happy when they come home, but most importantly, they are happy to go there! They usually get extremely nervous and dig their feet in ("oh heck no, I'm not going in there") when going almost anywhere, but as soon as they hit the ground at Creekside, they are totally comfortable and at ease, walking right in the door and through the gate - that tells me a LOT! Having just moved to Georgia eight months ago and having to travel more since moving, Creekside has made the transition so much easier for me knowing that my girls are safe and happy, whether staying there for just a weekend or two long weeks. Did I say the staff is awesome?? If you are looking for a new place to board your pets, I would not hesitate to use Creekside. Highly recommended! read more
