I had a terrible experience at Deluxe Nails in Cypress!! I went in for a full set and pedicure. The lady that was doing my pedicure was very sweet (didn't catch her name) the two stars are for her. However the lady helping you with my fullest was super RUDE her name is "Tammy." She was in a bad mood, very aggressive and cut me on three different occasions... never apologizing. If "Tammy" is having that bad of a day, she should stay home!! Never have I ever been treated so rudely by a nail technician or any other employee at that matter. Very poor customer service at Deluxe nails. I called to see if I could be seen in about 5-10 minutes since I was just down the street and it was a Wednesday early afternoon. They said they were busy but that if I came right away I could be serviced. When I arived there was no greeting from my technician DONNA, just a "you called" with a finger pointed to the last chair and a rudely stated "sit there". I sat down and was later told "pick your color". That was pretty much the extent of our interaction. Throughout my entire service I was never given an introduction or asked my name. The 2nd lady in the shop (NANCY) came out of the waxing room on several occasions and stared rudely at me. She never said a word or even smiled. The 2 ladies spoke in their native language to each other while intermittently staring or glancing at me. Just as I thought Nancy couldn't get any MORE rude, she offerred 2 ladies (one asian, one white...I'm black) water bottles and a "hello" upon their arrival. (Btw,She was only servicing one of them). I didnt even get a smile, let alone a hello or water bottle offer. I had a Groupon for 2 mani/pedis. I decided against the mani during my visit as the vibe at this place was all off. I also will NOT return for my 2nd service here. Just to make a point, I returned the "2nd visit" certificate upon leaving the shop and informed them that "I don't think I'll be using this". I then politely turned to Nancy and asked "Oh, is it ok if I grab a water bottle?"....I kid you NOT she said AND repeated 3 TIMES "Five dollars"...Though she said it with a smiley smirk even the 2 ladies in the chair felt her "vibe". *** To Donna's credit, she came out to my car afterward to return the gift certificate. After I kindly explained why I would not return to this salon, she apologized for the treatment received and attempted to explain that she was short two technicians today which made her upset and subsequently she was not displaying her usual "good" customer service. Though that does not excuse bad business practices, I accepted her apology as she truly seemed genuine. Upon arrival, I immediately felt unwelcome. I walked in to stared, when I told one of the ladies, she did not acknowledge me, instead began talking to someone in her language across the room. Not knowing what to do I sat down only to be later told that I needed an appointment. I was not pleased with my experience at Deluxe Nails in Cypress. I tried them for the first time recently because of a Groupon and I should have paid better attention to ALL the YELP reviews. I don't know how they stay in business, it was unsanitary and filthy. I almost left before we got started. First they made me wait 25 mins. even though I had an appt. Their towels were so dirty, stained and with holes, I really hope I do not pick up anything. I will not go back again nor can I recommend this place. read more

There is no point in making an appointment because you will wait regardless. I had to wait for an hour although I had an appointment. They have no skills in doing your nails and it seems like nail polish they used is very old. I opened them to check the color and some were very hard to open and majority of them were thickening. When they were filing my nails, I was bleeding and they just poured rubbing alcohol over it. I will never go back. read more

I have been getting my nails done since 93' and never have I gotten fungus on a nail, let alone FOUR!! I will never go back or recommend anyone get their nails done here. I noticed something dark under one of my nails through the nail polish after only a week. I then took the remainder of the acrylics off my nails and found three more spots. Wanted to stop by and get my nails done before giving birth next week. The women were so welcoming and greatly appreciative of business. They were short staff due to Vietnamese New Years. Julie did an amazing job with my pedicure-haven't had one in months so my toes were hurting and she really eased that! MaryAnn worked on my gel mani and did splendid. You can tell that they really care about the services they provided and took their time to make sure everything was perfect. They were both very easy to talk to & I know they had a long day & really appreciate that they accommodated my sister and I as walk ins. I love coming here when I'm out in OC, this place may not be the cleanest however they are great at what they do and super friendly. I've been going to this place for years on and off now since I have moved to the Valley but I always make it a point to stop by and get a mani/pedi when I'm in town. The deluxe pedicure is my favorite sugar salt scrub, callus remover followed by a nice massage after. Great colors to choose from and they always clean the pedicure chairs when they are done. As far as cleanliness what I mean is that everything is kinda all over the place they can straighten up just a bit but either way doesn't bother me. I highly recommend this place for a good job on nails and it's much cheaper than in the Valley. read more

I've been going to this place for years & I've always liked the work they've done. The staff is very friendly. The facility itself leaves more to desire, while it's not dirty in any aspect, I wish it would feel more like a hospital in terms of sterilization. I do see the ladies wash out the pedicure stations after they've been used but I wish they would use alcohol. The prices are very good, & the massage chairs are so relaxing while getting a pedicure. I believe pedicures go for about $12 and a full set starts around $14-16 (it's been a while since I've had a full set so prices could be different) My favorite "girl" for hand nails are Kathy & Mary Anne they're sisters & very nice & professional. My favorites for pedicures are Lisa & Tammy. They do offer plenty of other items like facials, waxing etc etc... I've tried the waxing by Kathy & liked her work but I've since moved on to threading since I'm a weakling when it comes to pain. I would recommend to call ahead if you're planning on going in on a Fri or Sat. They can get BUSY, if you call they will give you a time slot to come in later that day, I've never been asked to make an appointment for another day. read more

I came here once before for myself, I was fairly satisfied. I did a regular acrylic set. I wasn't so excited about it, but I didn't hate what they did. Then I brought my sisters & mom here for their prom nails (one did a reg. acrylic & one did a reg. gel manicure & mom did a mani/pedi). They had the same thought as me. If we had to rate it we'd probably give the over result a 7.5/10. However, they're prices are great. They won't cheat you & it's totally affordable & realistically, that's what we like the most. That's what caught my attention the first time & that's what brought me back (...my college budget ). Today I went in a again, & today I got better experience than I did before. Nancy did my reg acrylic nails. If I go back again, I'd want her again. She was very kind, very sweet, & she didn't rush my process. A lot of times I feel nail techs rush doing the nails & don't really care that much. But Nancy wanted to make sure she did it right & I felt like she cared. My nails turned out better with her this time than it did the last times I (we) came here & got our nails done by someone else. Customer service with her is a 10/10. (Not to mention, I noticed other workers in there dancing & singing which was nice to see. It's a fun, happy environment. Happiness does spread.) To be honest, two realistic things bring me back to a place - fair prices & good costumes service. Would give them a zero if I could but the 1 star is because Jennifer spoke in English to me. I got a full set and pedicure. My nails came out awfully. You can't tell in the salon but as soon as you walk outside you can see all the bubbles smudges that are under the gel. I ended up going back to have them fix them but of course they said there was nothing wrong with them. A different lady "fixed" 3 of my nails. While she was working there was another worker sitting right behind her with her finger knuckle deep in her nose. As soon the lady finished I walked outside to look at them and again they were bubbled and smeared. Very unprofessional and unsanitary. read more

I visited Deluxe nails on Saturday after not going there for a very long time. I USED enjoy having my nails done there. I am extremely and painfully (literally) disappointed in my experience. As you can see from the picture, my cuticles are raw. They were not like that before I went. My cuticles weren't even in bad shape before I had my nails done. My hands aren't in the best of shape due to having to wash them a lot but I didn't expect to have bleeding cuticles! I will not be back to experience any more pain! read more
