They just opened Shipleys near my house but I hadn't been until today. I always get their coupons in the mail but I just didn't have a chance to check them out. I'm not really a big donut person but I was craving them today. I usually go to this family owned donut shop on josey but they were closed today. They have a wide variety of different types of donuts. I was pretty surprised because I thought they would just have the basics. I like basic donuts so I just got a dozen donut holes and small coffee. The donuts were pretty good. I wish I had asked them to heat them up a little bit tho. The coffee was pretty good too! They customer service was pretty good too the guy at the counter signed me up for their rewards program and was really quick. They also have a drive through I believe. They're pretty good donuts for a chain donut place. I would skip out on sunken and go to Shipleys.

I've never tried Shipley's until today. They recently opened up a location super close to my neighborhood and they sent out flyers with coupons so I decided to give it a shot. I came in around 2 pm so they didn't have any kolaches left since apparently they throw them away after noon or else they go bad, according to the worker there. I definitely recommend coming earlier because the donuts would be fresher. Apparently the bakers leave around 9am. I got 5 glazed donuts, a bearclaw (thin cinnamon layer in the middle of a donut shaped like a claw), and a cinnamon twist plus a bottle of milk. With the coupons I spend $3.30 so not bad for the first time! The donuts were good. Definitely better than all the other large chain donut brands like Krispy Kreme, but they can't beat local donut shops typically owned by Korean families. I think the local shops are just fresher.

The service at 6:19 am was terrible. I don't usually leave reviews for any restaurants unless I feel strongly about it, this Shipleys in particular was not inviting at all. No greetings and I was left standing at the front while seven workers were in the back staring at me for at least 5 minutes. When one worker finally came to the front I was not given an apology nor any type of sympathy for my long wait due to no apparent reason. When I did end up ordering he simply walked away brought me my belongings set them on the counter and walked away immediately without saying One word. I just don't understand...

Just finished eating at Ms. Kay's next door so I decided to grab a few donuts next door at Shipley's. I got a chocolate glaze & a cinnamon glazed twist. They were just ok, jus basic donuts. Also the chocolate glaze didn't taste like chocolate at all.

Good donuts. Baked in the store, so it smells great. Good location with a drive thru.

The only donuts I will eat! I love to keep the donut holes in the freezer to snack on here and there.

Title: The Burrito That Lied to Me…read more Let me set the scene: a peaceful morning, a loving wife, the promise of a cozy day spent in bed together. Enter Hot Donuts at Frankfort Station, a place that looks whimsical, cheerful, and innocent, much like the villain at the start of a fairytale. I ordered a STEAK, EGG, AND CHEESE BURRITO. Capitalized because those words matter. The burrito was neatly wrapped, clearly labeled, and confidently handed over, bold in its deception. Reader, there were NO eggs. There was NO cheese. There were, however, BEANS. Beans that were never invited. Beans that were never disclosed. Beans that ambushed me from within a tortilla like an unwanted jump scare in a low budget horror film. Now, let us pause the comedy for a moment. Mislabeling food is dangerous. Some people have bean or legume allergies. This is not a quirky oops. It is a legitimate health concern. Someone could get seriously hurt because accuracy clearly is not on the menu here. Back to the trauma. What was meant to be a sweet, effortless morning outing quickly turned into betrayal of the highest order. I feel lied to. Deceived. Swindled. Hoodwinked. Possibly bamboozled. I trusted you, burrito. You looked me in the eye, figuratively, and told me you were something you were not. Now my romantic afternoon plans? Ruined. Instead of enjoying the comforts of my bed, I am now well acquainted with the porcelain throne, and not the throne I planned on worshipping today. Hot Donuts at Frankfort Station, shame on you. You did not just mess up an order. You shattered dreams, digestive systems, and the sacred trust between customer and breakfast burrito. So I say this with the utmost seriousness. DO NOT visit this establishment. I repeat. DO. NOT. visit this establishment. It may look magical with its bright donuts and playful décor, but like Hansel and Gretel, you may find yourself lured in, only to suffer greatly for it. I survived. Barely. Others may not be so lucky. Choose wisely.

I ordered a 3 pack ($9) since their wasn't an individual option which didn't seem too out of line compared to premium donut places like voodoo doughnuts though still priced high compared to more traditional donuts. The flavors they are offer are definitely a notch above your average donut shop though and they had 6 different types made up and on display from their larger menu you see online. I ordered the Biscoff, strawberry, and Chocolate Pebble to go and they were all quite tasty. The texture of outside of the chocolate and strawberry were crispy with notes of texture of a cake donut but quickly gave way to a doughier, more chewy interior. The biscoff was a more consistent texture through without the sharp contrast of the edges and seemed slightly less chewy in the center than the others. I'm not sure if that was by design or which is the more canonical texture but I still enjoyed both. Overall, I'd say this was good exposure to an exciting new type of food and that Mochinut delivers a nice premium product. I do wish they offered/advertised a single option as I feel 3 is likely better shared with another person versus by yourself, though they have a menu of Korean rice hotdogs that I might try next time instead if I venture over again by myself instead.
