This is my second visit within two weeks. My initial visit was mid-morning and several of their donuts (e.g. Tiramisu) were sold out. Because my visit was earlier in the morning, none of the daily flavors were sold out yet. Scanning the display, I noticed the shop does not offer donuts with a fruit or custard filling inside, such as a jelly donut. They offer donut sandwiches in which the donut is cut horizontally and the filling is spread between the two slices. Neither good nor or bad, just different. Sara's donut story offers a cake donut (which is more like a cake in the shape of a donut than a traditional donut) made with coconut milk, coconut oil, and flax seed that is customized with different frosting flavors when you arrive. We won't be going anywhere else. The store itself is adorable and very interesting and wonderful to look at. The donuts are incredible! Not only are they gorgeous but they taste great, too. Cute, quaint little store! My sister and I went on a Monday morning and were greeted by Sara herself. She's a very sweet woman, and when we told her this was our first time here, she told us which were customer favorites. She did mention that on Monday mornings, it's one of their slowest days so they don't have as much variety as they would on Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings, so keep that in mind if you're wanting to stop by. We took one each of the specialty donuts and she was extremely kind enough to add THREE regular donuts into our batch for FREE. Out of the specialty donuts, we concurred our absolute favorites were the 'fruity' donuts, especially the strawberry shortcake (!!!) and the very berry blueberry. Walked into the adorable shop and of course first thing I noticed was how decorated it was with all the anime drawings from customers, as well as the cute little plush toys. The lady behind the counter was so sweet and instantly greeted us. There were so many specialty donuts we had never tried so we took our time and she didn't seem to mind.
