We often try to support local small businesses when traveling. There were several donut shops in the area, we decided to try three of them. This one caught our eye because their Earl Grey donut seemed to be a popular favorite, so we came specifically for that. When we arrived around 10 am, Earl Grey was already sold out. There were about 20 basic donuts left (glazed, cake, etc). Good problem to have for the owners.. Fortunately, the person working there, perhaps the owner, offered to make one just for us. It seemed like they already had plain donuts ready and just needed to dip one in the Earl Grey glaze, which is exactly what she did. We really appreciated the effort and kindness! $4 each. As for the taste, it was okay overall. The Earl Grey flavor came through, but the donut was extremely sweet--so sweet that it overpowered the tea flavor. I understand donuts are meant to be sweet, but this one crossed the line a bit. If they could tone down the sugar just a little, it would really let the flavor shine. Overall, we're glad we got to try it, and if we're ever back in the area, we might stop by again to sample other flavors. read more

I always drive by this place and saw all of the positive reviews so I stopped by one morning to get a breakfast burrito with sausage and potatoes and an Old Fashioned donut. Since I returned from Chicago last month where I was able to eat at my beloved Do-Rite Donuts, I've still been trying to hunt for the perfect Old Fashioned in the DFW area. The breakfast burrito gets a quick shout out because it was pretty unique as far as breakfast burritos go. I was expecting your typical breakfast sausage with pre-made hashbrowns inside, but the sausage that came with the burrito was more like the Eckrich kind cut up into bite size pieces and the potatoes were smashed and still super hot. I think it was so unique also because it wasn't greasy at all. But the Old Fashioned was better than your average mom and pop donut shop, but still not quite what I'm searching for. What a good little treat for us Las Vegans. We are visiting The Colony for our son's medical treatment. Everything has been very stressful since we arrived from Las Vegas, NV. We wanted something sweet to calm our nerves, and found ED on Yelp! The donut shop is clean & quaint. The female staff (White lady w/ short hair) was incredibly friendly! She suggested old fashion cinnamon roll donut, as well as blueberry cake donut. I'll save the blueberry one for tomorrow. Best crème brûlée doughnut so far with them even making one fresh since the case was sold out. Pretty delicious donuts and close to me so it's perfect! The cronut holes are delicious and I love the texture of them. I enjoyed the blueberry cake donut I tried as well. I recently got the maple bacon and it was also tasty but a bit more sweet than the others. I have also ordered the kolaches and they are good I just wish they had more cheese in the ones that should have cheese. I've ordered some and thought they gave me ones without cheese because I couldn't find any in the kolaches. I love how they usually add a few extra donut holes to the box. Wow! we arrived 9:45AM, had a great selection of donuts. both of the employees were very sweet as their donuts. What truly impresses me are the donuts freshness, I am 100% convinced that they are made with love and care. I have no problem paying a little bit extra for something that's made delicately. The ambience is just like a normal coffee shop with the addition of donuts. They offer sandwiches with any type of meat, cheese and egg. They also have burritos stuffed with potatoes, eggs, and meat. You can also get donuts customized with letters, but you have to order those 72 hours in advanced. The service here is definitely a 5 stars and they have so many options it's crazy! I loved how nice everyone was and how helpful they were too. The donuts are a bit expensive but it is definitely worth a try because they have so many cute and interesting flavors. I tried some donut holes and got a tea flavored donut. Always enjoy to trip to earnest. Normally it's a little treat for me and my little guy. We have a go to order. The service is always with a smile-even with their masks. They are always cheery. Not only does Earnest have wonderful donuts and sausage rolls, but they are one of the few businesses I've encountered in the area that is enforcing a no-mask/no-entry policy which makes me love them all the more. If they added a bacon-free maple cronut to the lineup I'd be in heaven as those are my favorites but their glazed one is pretty spectacular. A friend brought these donut treats to me and MAN, I was in heaven. I am an avid tea drinker and heard that they had Earl Grey flavored donuts and sure enough, my friend brought me Earl Grey, Matcha tea donuts. They got the flavors spot on.. So delicious. The glazed donut holes were my second favorite same reasons the twist was my favorite The red velvet cake donut was good, but I was expecting a more red velvet taste, it was quite subdued ,but the donut was very moist and not overly sweet. The glazed croissant donut holes were soooooo sweet, like to sweet in my opinion and they were a bit to hard for my liking. The coffee donut was by far my least favorite, I liked the initial coffee flavor but it had slight bitter aftertaste so after 2 bites I was done with it.
