We went through the drive thru on a Saturday around noon. The young man at the window was very friendly and fast. The donuts were fluffy and light. They were not stale and it was 12pm. I will say the donuts did seem small-ish, but I was used to getting voodoo donuts in the Cypress location(recently closed) . When someone takes time out their day to leave a 1 star review, you have a major issue. Starting with the hispanic man sitting on tub behind the counter who looked up at me when i walked in and then put his head back down to continue consuming content on his phone. Poor customer service. but it does not stop there. The lady who assisted me acted like she didn't know about THE ONLY ONLINE ORDER that was sitting in front of the man (who is on his phone) face. He mispronounced my name and i corrected him, and he didn't respond with the correct way to say my name (which didn't matter at the time, but now it does because he has such an attitude at 11am). I informed the lady that via the app i had a free coffee reward, she was confused and said she doesn't know how to redeem it.... (just give me my free coffee?????) i showed her the app she nodded her head but continued to say my order doesn't come with a free coffee?????????? That's the 2nd issue, if the company you have franchised has a reward program that your location participates in, you should be granting the rewards especially if it says you participate?? i frequent this location a lot and the only nice person up their is the mother i believe? she always has a smile on her face and knows how to do rewards via the app. i recommend these 2 incompetent workers that were working the morning of 12/7 11am be trained on how to correctly give customer service to loyal customers.. i have not only left a review from the app but on the website , and now YELP in hopes of better service moving forward. read more

I think Shipley has the best glazed donuts. There's no stopping. I can't ever resist them. ...Three donuts later, I'm like, okay, last one... I'm at this location's drive-thru about once a month when visiting familia, and they never disappoint. There aren't many other donut shops in the area, so my guess is they're constantly serving up fresh batches to keep up with the demand. Service is "okay" ...The same gal in the drive-thru always seems annoyed when I ask her what donuts they have available. But I'm not bothered by it - I'm about to eat donuts! Glazed, coconut cake, and blueberry cake donut are my jammm. read more

Do-Nuts were very underwhelming. The dough was very small and tasted like they were mishandled in the proofing phase. Donut holes were literally burnt and inedible. The sausage kolache was made with old dough. It was dry, tough, and misshapen. They messed up the order and gave us the wrong donuts in a six-pack. Cold brew coffee tasted watered down. The hot coffee was much better. I suggest finding another shipleys location until this one gets new management. read more

I used to goto this place just about every other Saturday and get a couple of dozen donuts and a dozen of colaches. But since the last time if I remember right even after the shut down their donuts quality have gone way down, the price has not change but the quality sure has. The donuts are no longer hot and fresh, their colaches are so so at best. very greasy and the donuts are tasted staled. Also the employee's attitude is not so friendly any more. Did they change ownership during the shut down? Who knows but the management should take note So I guess maybe it is time to turn-up my diet plan and stay away from this donut place for awhile. I'm not entirely sure what's going on in this area, but this is the second time I've received crappy service at this location. My husband and I sat at the drive thru window for 8 minutes, completely confused as to why no one would take our order. When we pulled off from the drive thru and circled out, another car had pulled in, and she was immediately helped by the cashier. Needless to say, we were extremely disappointed, and I seriously doubt we will ever visit this location again. read more

Stale donuts that taste a week old is all they can manage to serve. Other than that, you get rude workers who aren't happy with their jobs. On top of that, there seems to be some sort of language barrier because literally none of the employees speak English. They somehow always manage to screw up even the simplest of orders after 3+ tries. If you go and correct them and ask for a refund, they mutter curses under their breath in spanish. I would give it a zero if I could! I am totally grossed out about my experience today. I gave a bite to one of the ham kolaches we bought today at this shipleys store and it tasted weird. I went ahead and opened it up to check it inside and I almost vomited. The ham was had and semi-dry and had this green color to it. Definitely didn't feel fresh at all. The bread was somewhat hard so it didn't feel like it was made today. My husband had already ate one unfortunately and he did say it tasted different and weird but he didn't think about checking it inside. I opened all the other ones and they were all the same... I will let pictures speak for themselves. No filters! Shame on the cooks and management for allowing this to happen. Hope management will see this review and take action! The donuts at this location are good. The service is fast, not especially friendly but not rude. And everything is fresh. I'm a fan of apple fritters and the ones here are huge. I've been to this location multiple times. The customer service is so dry and...bad. The last time I pulled up to go inside, the employee looked at me approaching and locked the door and walked away. i was so confused. The service hours posted didn't imply they were closing. Even if they were, he could have signaled to me instead of locking the door in a customer's face and walking away. I drove around to find the drive through still open. I directly asked why he locked the door on me and walked away. He said they close the lobby early for cleaning. The encounter was just so rude and disgusting. The other times I've been to this location, I've inquired about specific donuts, and the responses were so vague and dry. "We're out." Okay, but will you have more later, or no?? The employee hates his life. Period. It's not like Shipley's is the only option in the area. I've been a fan of Shipley Do-Nuts all my life. This location has a drive through that looked like it moved well, but I got my order quicker by going inside. The service and the food has always been good. The only issue that I could find with this location is making a left turn out of the parking lot. Making that left turn to head south on Barker Cypress during rush hour could be a hassle. read more

Went through the drive through and the lady's were super fast. I didn't see a menu so I had to pull one up on my phone to figure out what I wanted. The donuts were standard and were what you expect. I was visiting my family in Cypress, and we needed some morning energy. Where do we go? Starbucks? Ha! We headed right over to Shipley's to order 2 dozen doughnuts, doughnut holes, kolaches, and fritters! Hahaha. My family was waiting at the house, and so I ordered a blueberry jelly doughnut, a dozen glazed doughnuts, chocolate glazed doughnuts, some sugar doughnuts, and more. The doughnuts tasted pretty good, the dough is springy, not like other doughnuts I've had - the dough kind of makes me think it was boiled briefly or something, because the chew reminded me of a bagel. The bagels were pretty good, but definitely not the best I've had. Anyway, the glaze tasted good, and I love the glazed chocolate doughnuts! You don't get too many of those at other doughnut chains. I also ordered a few sausage kolaches, and they were pretty good. There are no kolaches in California, and it was great to indulge in these kolaches while we were here. I wish the kolaches had some raw vegetables cut up (like onion, celery, or something) in it to add some brightness and crunch, but they are pretty good. This is coming from someone who has eaten the world famous donuts like Round Rock Donuts, Voodoo Donuts, Randys Donuts in LA, Krispy Kreme, etc. Shipleys beats them all... IN THE MORNING.
