    Mold donut!!!
    Bao N.

They sell old and moldy donuts!! Can't believe ! I took a bite and notice dark moldy spot on the donut.

Sausage, Cheese, and Jalapeño Kolache with RAW dough

I'll never order from this location again. It's never been great, but over the weekend I ordered kolaches and donuts, and the dough on the jalapeño sausage kolaches was RAW. I had already eaten some before I realized - so gross. I tried calling but no answer. I ordered a dozen mixed donuts as well, and the majority of them were old and stale. It isn't cheap either! I'll stick to Snowflake Donuts from now on.

    $5 Medium Iced Coffee

I was charged $5 for a medium French vanilla iced coffee when all she did was press a button to fill in the drink & it has half ice. I've paid less at Starbucks for a grande cold brew drink with pumpkin cold foam & extra flavorings. This is an outrageous price for what the drink is.

No care in putting simple donuts in a box

I thought I was going to be able to surprise my child with a birthday donut and add his two candles. Half a** packaging and frosting... super long lines.

I keep giving this location a chance because I grew up in Houston and we loved early morning Shipley. I come atleat once a week here but there's no customer service and its getting annoying. I accept that mistakes happen but the way to rectify them DOES really matter. This is about the 3rd time this happens. The Kolache is half raw. I get home, kids are excited, then I see this. Raw kolache that I have to take away from my son to drive back and fix. So I go inside to show them and the difference in one that was actually cooked and one with raw dough. She asked what I want and I hesitated because I kind of wanted $ back but then my son was waiting at home for kolaches. So I said I'll take another. One of the ladies brings it back to ask if those are fine with open box shows them to me They looked thoroughly cooked so I said its fine. She turns around to her next chore. Seriously!? She just leaves the box there, open. Like "pack your own crap up lady" I was trying to close my box and struggled a bit because the dent was not cooperating. Did anybody come help?. Did anyone give me a bag?... Nobody even looked at me again. I was the only customer inside the store. One other person came in after they dealt with my issue but its still unacceptable. No Apologies No Sorry No Thank you. Wow. I'm giving up on this location.

Get your sweet and savory fix
    Vicky L.

Can't decide on sweet or savory? Well Shipley offers the best of both worlds. It's tough enough to choose between kolaches and donuts not to mention the options for fillings! I had to try a mix of things in order to satisfy my sweet tooth yet fulfill my late breakfast hunger. Having tried the kolaches: ham+cheese, sausage+jalapeños+cheese, and sausage+cheese, I loved the ham+cheese. Keeping it simple, it reminded me of the typical ham and cheese sandwich. The sausage was more like a hot dog, and while it was good, I liked the texture of the ham more. But if spicy is your thing, I'd totally suggest getting the sausage jalapeño cheese because you will get a nice kick of heat. Donut wise, the strawberry filled, bavarian creme, and chocolate walnut were all superb. The donuts were on the heavier side and is best shared between a few...of course unless you're like me and eat all three like no one's looking. Just kidding, but you know what I mean!

    No jalapenos, tricked again.

I had a long shift working overnight and got off at 5:30. I thought I would pick up a couple kolaches to take home for an early breakfast. So I drove up and ordered two sausage, jalapeno, and cheese kolaches. I really like the ones with the jalapeno. It really adds a kick and more flavor to the kolache. I was very specific. Well, when I got home and began eating them, I see there are no jalapenos in it. It is just plain sausage and cheese. And it wasn't just the one missing them. The other had NO jalapenos in it either. This is not the first time it has happened here. Did they switch them up in the warming drawers, or did they run out and figure I wouldn't care by the time I got home? They are not consistent there. Some mornings they are perfect. Some times like today they don't give me the correct ones. I have received them with one single sliver of a jalapeno in it. Why advertise that you offer them if you really don't have them, or want to make them for customers. I think this will be the last time you trick me. There are other donut companies that have jalapenos in their kolaches. I was looking forward to them after the night I had, and once again you let me down--for the last time this time.

Rubber band that was found in kolache

Ordered 2 kolaches (sausage and cheese), maple donut and coffee. While eating the second kolache I bit onto something chewy and bitter. Only to find out that there was a rubber band in my kolache. I was really disgusted to find a rubber band in my kolache.
