Stopped by this place near my work . Over all decent food but my only complaint was the chili paneer. The paneer was almost impossible to chew, maybe it was over cooked. Samosa chaat was flavorful. This place is soo good, we tried their entire vegetarian menu and except their biryani (which was above average as well) everything else was super delicious and authentic Indian food. You could taste that it is made by Gujrati chef. I'm planning on eating here every-time I visit Richmond. read more

I've ordered here a couple times and have not been disappointed. The food is good and the staff is friendly. The chicken tikka masala and naan were good. The portions are great as well. I do wish you could dine in as well but it's definitely more of a to-go place. I would definitely eat here again. read more

I agree with the others Yelpers . The samosa chaat was nice and flavorful. I got medium spicy and wowee that was good enough for me. My kid liked the mango lassee. The premises was very simple- TVs weren't on - not sure if it was broken. While I could access the menu online - navigating back and forth was a bit cumbersome. Keep in mind this isn't fast food so I was told it would be a twenty minute wait after ordering. Still worth it. read more

My favorite Indian food in the Richmond area. I recently ordered Shital's for take out and it did not disappoint! The food was absolutely delicious, with a great variety of flavors and spices that left my taste buds tingling. The service was also excellent, with the staff being incredibly friendly and helpful. Prices are slightly high for the quantity of food you receive. However, I find the quality to be worth the higher price. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an amazing Indian dining experience in the Richmond area. Super friendly coming right through the door and such a nice, clean set up inside. I ordered Chicken Tikka Masala (spicy) and ate inside as I had time to kill. I haven't had Indian food in some time but they definitely kill it with flavour of their food! The Naan bread given had such a light but buttery taste and not overly greasy which was yum! My thoughts on an Indian Cuisine is everything is spicy and lots of garlic. What we got wasn't to bad, the Garlic Naan is delicious and we got the Butter Chicken which we ordered the mild and it was good. I can't imagine how spicy the the hot is. We also got the Samosa Chaat which had a good flavor throughout. I recommend this place to anyone to try it for themselves. read more

Great little place with a tasty Rava masala dosa and the accompanying coconut chutney and sambar.

It's a gem in the making . We tried six dishes - three were outstanding, two were very good, and one was good but passable. Overall, it was well worth a 30-minute drive. Their "methi na gota" were as authentic as those I Tasted in India. It is a new establishment so they are working through initial kinks - be patient if they are backed up, it's worth it. We did not try their curries or entree items and look forward to doing so soon. I would highly recommend this place. read more

I live in the area and happened to notice this tiny little spot tucked in the corner of a strip mall while driving to Kroger for my weekly grocery shopping trip. I'm so glad I decided to give it a try. I ordered the Methi and Butter Chicken dishes and the Samosa Chaat. The chicken dishes had more sauce than meat, but the flavors were rich, complex, a tad on the spicy side, and purely delicious. The Samosa was equally pleasing. OH SOOOOO GOOD!!!!! My taste buds are in awe. The restaurant is new and opening during a pandemic. Support them! (I have no affiliation with the owners, just an appreciation for really fantastic food, and this one hits the spot. Very satisfied with our takeout from Shital's! It was the perfect meal for a cozy, COVID safe New Year's Eve at home. We ordered 2 entrees: methi chicken and paneer makhani; and 2 appetizers: dahi puri and samosa chaat. The portions were very generous, enough for a big lunch the next day (we were 2 people). The entrees were rich in flavor and spice! Neither of us had eaten dahi puri before and we were pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was. Highly, HIGHLY recommend! Just ate here for the first time last night, we got the palak paneer and methi chicken with side salads and the jheera (cumin) rice. The chicken dish was delicious, spicy, flavorful and really filling. The palak paneer was outstanding, so spicy, so enjoyable and so tasty with the rice. The rice was cooked to perfection . Salads were a fresh mix of sliced cucumbers, carrots and tomatoes. We got a mint and tamarind chutney to go with them and used them on everything. Was excited to try beings I live right beside them and there's not a lot of variety restaurants to choose from. Orders paneer Makhani (comes with rice ), garlic naan, and samosa chaat . Unfortunately the makhani was veryyyy bland and unexpectedly the naan was very bland too! I've tried a lot of paneer makhani and never this bland but spicy. Gave a 2 star because here chaat was actually really good and flavorful! Very disappointed read more
