If you ask Dwayne any questions he takes it very personal that you're questioning him. For example, one of my actuator valves went bad so he quoted me $517 for a new valve and install. I found the same valve on Amazon for $120 and it will literally take me 5 minutes to install it. Dwayne didn't like me questioning him so he put my account on hold and Kenney didn't come out to service my pool. Unbelievable considering they charge me $200/month. I initially hired them because I was having issues with Calcium buildup on the tiles. They told me they couldn't fix what had already been done but it wouldn't get any worse. Not true. It's gotten worse. Once again the service is not worth the cost.

Some were large corporations and some smaller operations. Most estimates came in very close in price. To me price was not the number one factor, after reading reviews and talking to people in the industry, we chose to go with So Cal Custom Pools. I was very impressed with Jimi and how everything from start to finish was handled. Little things to me are important, like show up when you say you will, complete a job to the best of your ability. Jimi showed up every time when he said he would, the pool was completed on time and looks amazing. I would always know when someone was coming to the house, I received either a call of text prior to someone showing up. We started with demo, the demo crew removed all the old plaster, tile and cooping, when the crew was completed the yard was swept and cleaned after. Everything looked clean and the crew took pride in the work. Next we had the tile and coping installed. I did have 2 small change orders. I changed the water feature and had the tile guys do a little more work than was originally expected. This was the only increase to the pricing and everything else came out exactly as expected. Once the tile and coping were installed the pebble was installed. The crew showed up and completed this in the morning. As soon as the plaster was completed we started to fill the pool immediately. The pool looks great and I was very impressed with So Cal Custom Pools from start to finish. I would use them in the future. Thanks Jimi, the pool looks great.

In the middle of swim season - last, July - Westin 's negligence allowed a full algae bloom in my pool. Instant scummy pond water within a week. I could not have my grandkids over for a swim as planned because of this embarrassment. My pool had not been the same until the new pool service took over last week. The pictures of my pool filters combined with Westin's email records confirmed that he had not cleaned my filters IN OVER A YEAR at the time I terminated his services a week ago. I never solicited or hired Westin in the first place; My pool account had been sold to Westin from the previous pool guy. I couldn't terminate him fast enough after this last go round with algae in my pool and my repeated request over several weeks of Westin to do more than just pour a double portion of chlorine in the pool. Westin is young and inexperienced and has a negative attitude towards hard work.

The final straw was the excessive credit card fees they charge acknowledging it's the "cost of doing business". But they inflate the charges they are actually paying. Do not recommend.
