They clearly were not. We had 4 pair of shoes that would have totaled close to $400, along with several name brand clothing items. He would not make eye contact with me and was extremely poor in his overall presentation--his statement when walking away was "I don't know what to tell you". The poor cashier looked shocked and apologized over and over, saying "I'm so sorry, he's the main manager and there's no one else above him or I would call someone else". Allegedly to prevent fraud a phone call was made to my residence to confirm that I in fact had purchased the items and because Academy Sports got a answering machine instead of a live person they canceled the order. Further review of my answering machine verified no call from Academy Sports ever took place. Therefore I had to place my order through Amazon. Academy Sports has the absolute worst customer service. I will NEVER purchase another item through this company.
