False and misleading information after selecting my shoes I went to the register where they told me that I had to sign up for their club to receive the discount advertised in the window. Went to Shoe Carnival this evening to buy our son shoes for school. (Monroe St. Toledo, OH). After standing in line for over 1/2 an hour, the other shoe couldn't be located. (Labron's....apparently having only 1 shoe in the box is a theft deterrent). It's also an I can't buy the shoes deterrent. The clerks were very nice and kind; however the manager was rude and unhelpful. She wouldn't help look for them. I am now sitting at Foot Locker and they're taking good care of us. You lost sales Shoe Carnival cuz I'm so done with you. I'd rather pay more for good service. read more

Excellent customer service. I purchased a pair of Skechers Steel Toe Dexter work shoes from the Holland Store. The Holland store was the only one to have my size part number 76760EW Size 12 EW. Turns out that they were defective from the factory as compared to the ones they replaced ( same exact shoe) they were 1/4 inch less wide and crushed my toes after a week of attempted break in. Instead of getting more comfortable they got worse. I called this store because they were closer to my home in Michigan than the other one in Holland, and they said either store would be happy to help me with a return or exchange. They were more than willing to refund my money if necessary, but I was able to find another style that were just fine and exchanged them. They are working out very well. Shoe Carnival employees at both locations were very friendly and cooperative about the process. Kudos! I prefer to buy shoes at Brick and Mortar stores versus online at Amazon, etc. Yes you can get better pricing at Amazon but I have also received more defective shoes through online purchases. I no longer buy shoes online no matter the savings. read more

We love going to this store because they always seem to have what we are looking for. HOWEVER, on this trip they had racks that said $10.00 I found a pair of shoes I fell In love with. I took them inside and continued to go shopping. All the shoes were mixed up in the women's sandals. It was hard to locate anything. Even the display shoes were not on the right brand boxes. It was like a scavenger hunt I did not enjoy. So finally after finding the "X"(marks the spot) I found another pair I fell in love with. Did not plan the extra pair, but hey they were on sale for $14.95. It was my lucky day! Until I went to the register. The "$10.00 pair" rang up to $79.00 and the others rang up to $24.00. The manager argued with me and said they must have been in the wrong spot, yet there was two pairs there. Needless to say I walked out with nothing and my friend who spent $100.00 refunded her shoes because of poor customer service. read more

If I could give less than 1 star I would. 8 people working in the store on a Friday at 5:30pm. The store was disorganized. The music was loud. The lead person (unsure if he is a manager) was more concerned with dancing to the music at the register than supporting the staff. Out of all 8 associates working- not one spoke to me or my husband. We were shopping separately. No greeting- no offer for help- no eye contact. My husband was going to buy 85.00 Nikes until we spoke about the lack of service. I spoke to the lead person as I was leaving and said all I said above and he was slightly apologetic. Really disappointing. read more

The customer service is absolutely terrible. I had a pair of shoes on reserve from another store, and when I went in to try them on to see if I wanted them, at first the associate wouldn't let me try them on claiming I should already know if I wanted them, then after I tried them on she looked at me and said "so do you want them or not?" I understand we all have bad days, but you do not treat a customer like this. If I had not already been to 4 different stores looking for this exact pair of shoes, I would not have gotten them, nor do I plan to return to this store ever. read more
