Yesterday evening time about 8:50pm I went to stop by for a purchase and I soon as I drove up to the parking the lot to park there was two female employee's waiting by the door and they decided to close the door in which was VERY UNPROFESSIONAL of them to do so. They where basically letting me know before even getting off my vehicle that they are closed. The store closes at 9pm NOT 8:50pm per store hours sign. If you want business for the store at least wait till it is 9pm to close the doors to people!!! read more

FRAUD ALAERT! These people somehow are able to keep your card info and continue charging days later. I spent hundreds of my hard earned money here and they tried to continue charging my account. I'm so upset, today I decided to go shopping for my family for some shoes. And no one greeted me or my husband when we walked in. I was walking towards the shoes no one of the two associatives asked me if i needed help or have a question. I literally did it myself i checked every box for sizes and if i needed help still no one came up to me especially if there were boxes up high. I hate this store, bad customer service. So end up going to Five Points shopping center and bought lots of merchandize and shoes there. Vans Store has better customer service that Shoe City. Shoe City needs better people to work not some lazy people especially that chubby guy that just kept staring at me and not helping. They should close this store and make something worth it read more

My daughter and I went into the Huntington Beach store. I have a disability and I was discriminated against due to it. The store clerk started cussing at my 12 year old daughter and 3 other employees including the manager surrounded me and were cursing me. I took the shoes that we need for my daughter. Threw money at them and left the store. They followed us into the parking lot and kept cursing at us. This store is violating the ADA and has zero customer service. read more

They have a lot of cheap shoes but service is terrible. I went in on Sunday the 12th of Feb. 2 sales lady's stood at the door and greeted me with a smile while they stood at the front store gossiping. I went to look at the work boots but they stayed at the front door even though I was the only customer in the store at 12:00noon. Finally when when one of them saw that I was trying to reach for the top shelf of boots, she came over. She got the boots off the shelf and left while I was there to try the on by my self. First of all no one said anything to us when we walked in the store. We were in the store more than 10 minutes, no one said hello, no one offered to help, didn't even look at us! We were there to buy 3....3 pairs of shoes! On top of that, after no one helped us, we decided to buy the shoes elsewhere. If I could give 0 stars I would. Beady eyes staring you down the whole time you shop. Constantly asking if I need help with anything while browsing. as well as locking the door when I'm the only one in the store feeling the need to guard. When I make a decision on the shoe I want proceeds to take shoes out of my hands to walk up to register. I ask if there is another size in the shoe I displayed to be shown a "identical" pair that looks different. I ask to hold the shoe and am told " it's the same shoe". If I am to purchase any product I'd like to inspect it for any damages, rips, tears, scuffs, etc as it's not the pair I originally looked at. I purchase all my shoes from this location however not again. I just purchased my last set and went to swap them out as the sole has separated. Since I was days after their 30 Day return policy they are not swapping them and I even said I was going to purchase a new pair along with the swap. The Store Manager stood there and didn't say a word and allowed the employee to handle the conversation. Were us doing the right thing vs. policy. OK, first of all you have to leave your "attitude" outside. I have watched impatient/rude customers walk out unhappy. I realize that the employees get paid by the hour, not on commission and are constantly harassed by a few less thoughtful than I. I was driving to my favorite bicycle store and stopped on the way. I have been looking at Nike "sliders" on the Internet. This store carries some Nike products. Yes it took a little help and several attempts to find the footwear I wanted. I am unhappy with the customer service at this store. I bought shoes here two days ago and tried them at home. Unfortunately, they were too big. I brought them back together with the receipt to the store and they could not exchange them for smaller sized shoes because I don't have the box. The manager said he remembered me buying them from him but could not do anything about it. Very unhappy about it! Not planning to get here anything in the future. Also, when I came here on Monday, I was the only customer but nobody in the store approached, greeted me and I had to chase the manager to ask for help. Went to Shoe City today to buy my 3 year old a new pair of shoes. The sign says everyone must wear a mask, so I had one on, but my 3 year old absolutely refuses to wear one. When I walked in the first employee stared at me in shock that he wasn't wearing a mask, then as I turned the corner looking for the toddler section, another female employee told me he needed to put on a mask and I informed her that he won't keep one on. She then ROLLED HER EYES AT ME. I asked her, what was that look? She said "What look?" So I went to the toddler section and she went over to the other employee and was saying something. She continued to hover over us and watch us as if I was a thief. When my kid was getting on the stool to try on a pair of shoes, she then again, said something. As if he wasn't doing it correctly. Overall, we were treated as nuisances. I understand what is going on in the world right now, but I was following guidelines and to expect a toddler to do the same is ridiculous. I went in on 1/13 at 11:15am, I was on my way out of town and desperately needed a pair of shoes. Shoe city was on my way out, so I decided to stop in. One girl wandered around, giving me eye contact once. I was obviously interested in buying, as I was pulling out shoes and looking for sizes. I had to ask for prices, sizes, types of shoes, etc. replies were one word answers, and she seemed bothered by my presence. I considered not buying because of the service, but the convenience pulled me in. I checked out, she was curt with me and I found myself saying thank you with nothing in return. So strange. I won't go back unless it's to return the shoes I bought today. I would much rather go to a department store, and receive good service. I went in with my two kids around 7PM on Tuesday night. There was no on else in the store. It took a while for us to be greeted. I was left to search for shoe sizes on my own for a while. When the staff member finally came over, she asked what size I needed. I told her I wasn't sure as my son may need a bigger size. I asked if we could measure to make sure what size we needed. She said yes, and she stood there. I asked if there was a measuring tool we could use. She said yes, and she stood there as I continued to help my son get his shoes off. I asked again, and she pointed at it on the wall behind her. I then literally had to ask if she minded getting it down for me to use. She did, and she handed it to me. I measured my son's foot. We figured out the size. She helped me find that one. Then she pretty much took off. When I was searching for my daughter's size, no one was there to help me find and get the right size. Her shoes were in tall stacks along the wall. I was thankful they didn't all come crashing down on me as I tried getting the size needed without any ladder or assistance. I really think the service could've been better. We were seriously the only customers in the store. There were two employees from what I could tell, and they appeared to be more concerned about organizing and stacking boxes on the far opposite side of the store than helping a customer in need. I get it, they had a job that must've needed checking off on their list for the night. However, a little customer service goes a long way! I honestly have gotten much better service at Payless, but I wanted better quality shoes. Just keep the customer service in mind if you shop here. read more
