I came in here the other day looking to purchase several dollars of gas for the car, when once I…read moregot in, I was warmly greeted to other customers waiting in line. Well, I do thank this location, because this location had an employee that opened up a new line so that I could pass directly into a line so I wouldn't have to wait to pay for the service. Maybe seeing as I had cash and had the Gas Cash Card in hand (and handy), maybe triggered them to see that I didn't pose a major threat to making the transaction be easy for them to complete. They didn't ask or remind me that I had a Speedy Rewards account I could use at the register, but I remembered the card just after handing them the Gas Cash Card and they completed the transaction smoothly. The money was added and I got a receipt as I asked. I went out and pumped. I had no real problems there. The ground still looks a little old and predates the Speedway pumps, but they work. The fact that the Walmart across the street helps, makes this place a go-to place when I'm in Catskill. I had been here before, but it had been a long time and this time was different : they didn't realize that this time it would be the experience I'd be reviewing about.

To the best of…read moremy recollection I've never had anything close to a negative experience in that store....in any way shape or form. Helpful, friendly, cooperative and most of all eager to please. It's so worth it to shop at Young's General Store than any big box store......by a country mile in fact. They're well stocked and if by chance they are low or out of something they can get it very quickly from their other store or at worst tell me when it's arriving from their supplier. This is a known issue - this generation truck HATES aftermarket security systems, and it was causing all kinds of problems, so we asked Toads to remove it. He was familiar with this issue, also said he'd look at the starter, and would let us know. I don't know what time he starts work, but he called us to pick up our truck at lunchtime Monday (we dropped it off Sunday night.) Let me tell you, the cost was BEYOND reasonable. I kind of wish I had more wonky electrical issues in vehicles, because they do such nice work.
