This shop has some upscale outdoor gear, boutique clothing, a shoe section, purses and such. They are on the higher end for prices. I was briefly greeted when I walked in, but the woman was on the phone (sounded like a personal call) and she didn't pay any attention to me during my browsing. I found shoes I was interested in, but they didn't have the color I wanted in my size. Turns out- that line, some of the colors are discontinued. I googled while in the store hoping to find them. I was tempted by several pieces of clothing, but even a second custom came and and got the same bland greeting and then the woman vanished to the back office? I had the feeling like sales weren't a big deal- so I went on downtown and shopped my hearts content. Shame- I really did like several products.

From shirts to shoes to hats to home decor and more, the Red Otter is our new favorite shop! They have all sorts of brands for men and women, like Southern Tide. We bought two pairs of the On Cloud shoes, a fabulous nautical belt by Southern Tide, and a candle by South that smells divine! Not only did we have fun, but the ladies in the shop were so friendly and warm that we probably spent 45 minutes in there having a great time socializing. I've already got my eye on another belt, another pair of shoes, a T-shirt, two Oxfords, and a coffee tray! We simply cannot wait to return. Indubitably 5 stars!

I was stunned @ the level of customer service that Susan, Ashley, & Courtney provided. i was being…read morehurried out of the store by a gf when picking out a shirt for my bf. when i got back to the northeast he didnt like it. these employees bent over backwards to make sure i got the match that he wanted. team communication was outstanding. they called; they texted. it was my first trip to St Augustine and when i go back i will be sure to visit them again. we're really not used to that nect level of service here in the Northeast. hopefully next time back they'll have some choices for women! but job well done by all involved!

A plain white button-down shirt I could not be more upset with him. But you would think that the store wouldn't have taken advantage of a teen like that. There is no excuse for that $185 for a single white button-down shirt. You're not selling Armani. Those kind of prices you won't be in business long. My son has learned a lesson because he's paying for this shirt.

We travel all over the country...in small resort towns/communities like this you get one of two experiences 1) they make you feel welcome, like you live there...and it makes you want to live there! Or 2) You are a tourist and we can't be bothered. Two of the employees, a tall older lady...and a younger gal stood in the middle of the clothing section complaining about how crowded the store was, and how they couldn't wait for the sale to be over. Ummmm what? There were four of us shoppers (didn't know one another) all looking at one another like "They can see us right?" Another gal had questions about some art on the wall, and she could not get anyone to help her. I had 10 items to try on, you can only take 5 in...so while I was trying on the first 5, the sales woman kept apologizing to those waiting saying "she has a lot of stuff, so sorry" Sooo I didn't try on the other five. Bought three of the first 5 and felt very rushed. Bottom line I think the locals and their family/friends keep them busy enough, so no need to worry about the tourists. That's the vibe. The sales team needs to be a little more aware that we are in the store for an experience, not because we have nowhere else to shop.
