They arrived and were incredibly small (even when purchasing them in a larger size as the site directed me to). So, I sent them back for an exchange. I received an email (no reasoning either) stating that I was being refunded for LESS than the amount of the shoes and shipping combined. They didn't attempt to contact me at all. When I called, they stated that they had none of the shoes left in any color in the size I had asked for. Why was it so hard for them to write that in the email? (bye bye star #1) So, I went online to see what they had that would be comparable. They had the exact same shoe in a fabric instead of leather. Why didn't the salesperson suggest this to me on the phone? Did they give a cuss about making a sale? No! (bye bye star #2) So, I call to ask them to simply exchange the shoe I returned for that one (which they had in the size I needed). They said they would, and the gentleman on the phone also said that he would refund me the shipping charge back to my account because it was an exchange. This NEVER HAPPENED. (bye bye star #3) This is when it got ugly. It was now a full week later, and I still had not received the shoes. They didn't send me any tracking information at all. When I called to tell them that the shoes were useless to me by now, they told me that there was nothing they could do about the missing shoes because they had been signed for. "I didn't sign for them, my delivery man didn't sign for them.. where the cuss were these shoes? And, what the hell do you mean, there's nothing you can do about them? Don't you have insurance?" "I'm sorry mam, but we don't take out insurance on anything under $500". (bye bye star #4). If it was possible to give them 0 stars, I would. The last star went away in my eyes when she left the phone to talk to a supervisor who told her that they could take things up with UPS and POSSIBLY get me a fraction of my money back. So, no matter what, I was paying for this mistake. They obviously didn't want my business from the get go. I should have stopped dealing with them from the moment they were out of the first shoe I needed. I cannot believe I am eating the full cost of a pair of shoes because I was stupid enough to trust a shoe company like Footnotes. I love shoes, and would have been a great customer for them, be it for business or pleasure, but I will never do business with them again!

When I purchased them I was told "guarnatee for life not to get wet or stain" I was so excited, and we were in the midst of a horrific snow storm, I wore them out of the store -- left the box behind! While wearing them, I felt the top of my foot get a bit wet, but nothing earth-shattering, however the next day they were stained. I called the store and the young lady Christina was most understanding and helpful. My husband brought the boots to the store and without hesitation, my credit card was fully refunded. I have to say, the assistance in the store is delightful, friendly, the selections are terrific, I am pleased as punch and can assure everyone, Footnotes has a new client! However this inside of this location seemed a bit disorganized as there were boxes and bags everywhere. Also I've noticed these discount stores seem to allow everyone to bring their dogs in. I am a huge dog lover but your barking out of control doodle which is clearly not a trained service dog has zero business being in a store. There are ample amounts of clothes and shoes and accessories but it does take some time to sift through what you are looking for. I would say 60/40 of the store has a good deal if you are knowing where to look.
