I came to shoe lab this past Monday to have padding installed for my heels since I have to wear them for work for 8 hours. They quoted me $45 just for the padding on the ball of my foot. I thought that was pretty expensive. Then they said it would be a two week turn around. I said I would pay extra to have it expedited. They charged me extra $20 and said it would be done before Friday. Well, Friday rolls around and I haven't received a call. I call them and they said it would be ready by Saturday. I decided not to have any work done at all. I found another shoe repair shop called "Quality Shoe" in Henderson. They were able to install padding on the whole shoe as well as install rubber on the bottoms to absorb shock. They did this all for $65 AND did it in 2 hours. Job well done Quality Shoe....but not so much Shoe Lab. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

I came here after reading a review about the great service they provided on Louboutins. Its a little hidden gem. I needed to get a pair of mine fixed overnight. I was flying out of town for the weekend the next day. I completely ruined my red bottoms that I bought in Paris while walking on cobblestone in Florence. It totaled them! Ah! I had called before I stopped in and asked if it was possible on such short notice to fix them. No problem with a small expedited fee of $25, they got the job done beautifully! The service is fantastic! They looked brand new and we're also stretched out like I requested. They specialise in designer shoes, bags, luggage and furniture. Shoe Lab is the only place to entrust your designer shoes and bags for repair! I have been using their services for over 6 years, beginning when I worked for a luxury shoe designer. I was floored the first time I saw what they were capable of fixing! Heel stuck in an escalator and ripped off? No problem! They return things to their original glory. Since I tend to only wear 6" or higher Louboutin's, putting rubber on the sole for traction is essential. Walking around in Vegas can be tough with all the faux cobblestone in the hotels. The addition of the rubber sole is genius and definitely worth the $65 or so they charge. If your shoes are in good shape they are able to get them done in a couple of days. I honestly can't recommend Shoe Lab any higher than what I'm going to try to do here. They are, much like Scotty from "Star Trek", "Miracle Workers". They've helped me out twice through dog related damages. One of my pups clawed up an antique chair that was my Dad's, and I was devastated. I sent it to them before I went on a vacation, only to come back to it looking brand new, better than it had in the first place. Four years later, it still looks great. A few weeks ago, another one of my pups thought it would be HILARIOUS to chew one of my favorite belts I've had for years. It's not an amazing belt, but it's sentimental, and I didn't want to admit its end as becoming a chew toy. Thing was, I forgot about Shoe Lab, and looked for a good leather repair place. When I pulled up, I remembered this place from the last time, and felt better about my belt's fate. The next day, it was back. There's a tiny, minor indication of where it got damaged, but I would have to really point it out to someone in order to see where it took the original damage. Shoe Lab is great. They have come through twice when I've really needed them too, and the work has looked good, and held up. A little pricey, but they give you an estimate, and the work makes up for the value. We went here to have my wife shoes clean they gave us the price and we paid it in full then 2 days later they called back and said they have to charge us $299. So from $155 to 299 just to clean cause they have to tape it up more that's not right I paid it in full then they want to change the price on us after we paid it that is bullshit. if they would honor it then after telling us that the price would be this $299. At first I wasn't sure if they could be dyed because they were not completely satin shoes, but I asked them and they said they definitely could be done. So, I sent my shoes with the swatch of fabric I needed them matched to and they came back the exact color I wanted, perfectly matched the swatch. They did them in the time promised and I was very happy with their work. Thanks Shoe Lab!!! I also had Shoe Lab repair a pair of work shoes that were worn at the front and the back and the black was fading and ripping off from me hitting the back of my shoes on my chair. I wasn't sure if they were repairable, but I sent them to the Shoe Lab and they repaired the shoes and they're like new now. I would definitely recommend sending anything to Shoe Lab. 3 repairs, 3 different items and 3 different times. All 3 bad experiences. First time - pair of Chanel espadrille shoes that were bought from Chanel. The strings that wrap around the shoes were frayed and coming undone. I brought the shoes to shoe lab who said no problem. What they used to try to put it back together was not correct for the shoes and they did a poor job putting them together so the shoes now look fake and started falling apart shortly after getting them back. This took them over 4 months to do. Terrible and very disappointing Second item - ysl handbag. The leather on the straps of the purse were becoming chipped on one strap. I brought it to ysl who sent it to shoe lab for repair. Shoe lab used some cheap material to try to fix it. Unfortunately, what they did was worse than the original chipping. The colors didn't match (the purse was blue so it was extremely obvious the coloring was wrong especially since it was only one strap that had to be repaired). On top of the color not matching the leather they used was smooth but the leather on the bag had little bumps. And, still even worse is whatever they used was such bad quality it came off completely so the strap was no longer chipping but off completely so I now have one correct strap and one strap that is 1/4 gone completely. I should have just left it with chips. - Again they made it look fake similar to the shoes Third and final time I'll let anyone send my products to shoe lab - Valentino sandals. The sandal goes through the shoe and is held together by a little "button" on the bottom of the show. Bought it at A retailer that I won't mention because I don't need shoe lab researching who I am after a complaint. The retailer offered to have it fixed since they were less than a year old. Off to shoe lab again. Less than a month after getting back from shoe lab not only did it pull out again but they did something to the entire strap that goes through the shoe when "repairing" it that even the retail shop said there was no way to fix it now. The manager of was nice enough to give me credit for the shoes on a product out of warranty because they felt so badly (FYI they don't allow for returns on designer shoes but made an exception in this case) about how they were now. I try not to leave bad reviews and hurt people's business. I'm just so frustrated with them since I'd heard such good things. 3 out of 3 has been terrible experience. read more

Brought my oversized, large leather covered elephants in to have their ears replaced, my little puppy ATE, them off. I brought a sample of the remaining ear in, a photo of what they look like on my other elephant and a drawing of the size so there would be enough information for them. They quoted me $425, FOR 2 EARS, I accepted as they were referred to me from another shop. Well about a month and a half later they called me, the ears were considerably smaller, the leather is some cheap bullshit they told me over the phone that was special ordered, this was a complete scam, but since I made my bed I'll sleep in it, but every chance I get I will tell the good people of Las Vegas TO NEVER TAKE THEIR BUSINESS TO THEM. This review is for the Charleston location but since they're both managed by the same people here it is: Do not use them!!! I went for a simple heel tap replacement for a pair of Louboutins. After a few days, I went to get them and there was a piece of metal sticking up from the leather part of the heel! Both me and the front person tried to remove it but it was clear it was from within. She said it might have been hit too hard when replacing the taps. She told me to return the next day. Fine. The next day I go to get them and now a chunk of the red part of the heel is missing!!! When I pointed it out to the person, she said she will send it to the warehouse to get it covered. After 2 weeks and lots of calls later the desk person tells me my shoes now have BLACK sections in the heels instead of red!!!! What is the point of having Louboutins but the red part. I tried to call the warehouse, they ignored my calls, kept telling me to call later when another person was in. I kid you not the woman even laughed at me after ruining my shoes. Save yourself a headache and don't dare go to them. Literally anywhere else could do a great job. They will make your Louboutins look like fakes!!!! read more

BEWARE, total timewaste, i went there 3 times in the past 2 years. 1 time was ok i just bought some meltonian color so no big deal, 2nd time i brought a red chanel for redye and restitch. they quoted 250$ told me it takes the 5 days i was in a rush to fly back to europe so i clearly ask will it be ready on time. the answer was YES. , once i came for pick up guess what. it was not ready. they started it maybe 1/2 hour BEFORE the pick up time. the bag was wet and just recolored. so they told me to come back on the next morning BEFORE i head to the airport. as u can imagine i was mad. but still they apologized and it was stressful for me but well mistakes happen. so next morning before heading back to europe for 16!!!! hours i drove there and guess what they were still or just started to finish the work on my bag. i had to wait another 30 minutes til they were ready. so no discount, apologize or anything was given. my 3rd and FOR SURE last time was 4 days ago. husband brought them another chanel to clean. they agreed on pick up date for yesterday. and guess what when he arrives for pick up at 4 pm they haven't even started with it. GOOD job shoe lab. They're pricey but u get what u pay for. If u wear Designer Shoes/bags/accessories, they can do it all. Red Rubber bottoms for a non-slip grip. Paint touch ups. Broken heels, honey, they do it ALL. I'd expect to pay upwards to $100 to repair and maintain a $1000 pair of shoes . They were friendly and they did a good job - while I waited even. But $25 for 1 heel replacement is outrageous. Also, the replacement is 1/8 inch higher than the other one, so I'm slightly uneven. Just picked up my Chanel bag- had to have leather in chain strap re -done and all metal re dipped, they are the authorized repair for Chanel- pricey but better then taking to Chanel and paying double! This is main location where the Owner is and it's well worth the wait and price! You pay for quality and that's what you get! I pay a lot for my items and when something happens I want to get it repaired RIGHT and have it back to how it was when I bought it! I have had horrible experiences with other repairs Cactus Boot (on Charleston) and Jovas OnMaryland Parkway who claim to be able to repair highend and DONT! First and foremost, I have to say, I have never actually come on this site to complain about anything until this moment. I am very easy going usually about service but I really feel this story needs to be told just in case others have problems with Shoe Lab. This place might quite possibly be the worst customer service I have ever gotten from anyone, ever!! I sent my samsonite suitcase to be repaired at this shoe lab location on Highland Dr. I would say maybe a month ago. The suitcase sat there for over a week and I never heard anything from them so I called in. I would also like to notate throughout this whole process THEY HAVE NEVER ONCE CALLED ME, I HAVE HAD TO CALL THEM. Anyway, she first said it wasn't there, then came back and said it was and wasn't fixed yet. She said she would let me know the next day, so again I called them they didn't call me. She said it was fixed and then literally shipped the suitcase that evening and arrived the next morning. When I pulled it out of the box it was seriously exactly the same as It was when I shipped it to them to be repaired. They were supposed to fix the wheel as it was bending into the housing and rubbing the housing. It was still bending into the housing and all they did was basically spray WD40 on it and shipped it back to me. So I called again and asked why it was still broken and the woman who answered the phone had the nerve to ask me of I did something to it!! Mind you I seriously had just pulled it from the box and was telling her this. YES, because I have so much time in my life to be breaking the things I need fixed just so I can complain about it later! The next thing that happened was that I had to wait till the management came back from vacation before i could get anything done to solve thos problem. It was Wednesday and I had to wait till Monday before anyone could help me. I then looked up a new place and took it there to be looked at. The man told me they did really sketchy work and also told me that he wasn't sure how they said they repaired it since they don't make parts for that suitcase anymore. Anyway, he didn't want to repair it because it was already in the computer system that samsonite covered the repair with Shoe Lab. I called Shoe Lab back and the management said they would make arrangements to have the suitcase sent back to them. I asked her about the parts and told her that I was told they no longer make this suitcase or parts for it and she said they had extra parts. Again, after about a week of it sitting there, i called again. I was then told the suitcase needed to be replaced because THEY NO LONGER MAKE PARTS FOR THAT SUITCASE, which is what i just asked them about. The manager told told they have to contact samsonite to get them to replace the bag and that they would need a few days to get them to respond. Again, ANOTHER WEEK, I call AGAIN. Still no word from Samsonite about replacing my bag whatsoever and I am supposed to be leaving soon for a job, which requires that I have my bag. MY BAG IS STILL SITTING THERE, and they have not done ONE THING they were supposed to do. I'm not a genius, but how do you repair something that you don't have the parts to? What they should have done was tell samsonite to replace the bag(which is still under the warranty) the first time rather than PRETEND to fix something they don't have parts to and just ship it right back with WD40 on it. This is a joke and I have gotten nothing but a HUGE run-around from this company. I have worked in retail and never treated someone this way. I'm reading these reviews on Shoe Lab about the prices being fair and I'm thinking fair where at. Shoe Lab is a total ripoff and their prices are absurd. I brought some red bottoms there to get cleaned and they told me $295 a pair to get cleaned (I had two pairs) and I said "$295" for what??? They said cause they have to tape off the suede on these so I said well why $295 for those and they all leather, then he replied well give me $195 for that pair. That's ridiculous!!!! $195 just to clean a pair of leather shoes??? So I left them and went to Lave Gallery on Valley View and they told me $40 for both pairs and they did an awesome and quick job. Shoe Lab prices is insane.... I have the upmost respect for the manager Shane cause he is very business oriented but the store as a whole is a total ripoff. I wouldn't recommend NO ONE to go there.
