Do not come to this location for shoe drops the manager sells shoes on the side and make sure that his employees and friends get shoes before all the people waiting in line. If you're looking to get Jordan's in the upcoming year, don't waste your time at the shoe Palace. Disgusting to see this if you want to sell shoes to your friends, do it when the store is not open not blatantly right in front of everyone who stood in line all night. Im extremely disappointment and frustration regarding our recent experience during the Jordan 11 Gamma release. What should have been an exciting and rewarding experience for loyal customers turned into something that felt dishonest, disrespectful, and completely unfair. We arrived at the store at 2:00 AM and stood in the cold for hours, doing exactly what we were supposed to do -- waiting patiently in line and respecting the process. We were the second group of 5 at a time allowed to enter the store, and because of that, we believed our chances were fair. Unfortunately, what we witnessed was shocking. Your employees and management allowed friends and acquaintances to bypass the line, enter the store, grab shoes, and leave without waiting like everyone else. When it was finally our turn to purchase, we were told that the sizes we requested were already sold out. What made the situation even more disturbing was an incident involving a woman who had just arrived, aggressively banging on the door. Security attempted to stop her, but she claimed she "knew the manager" and had shoes being held for her. She and a friend were allowed inside and proceeded to purchase at least four pairs of Jordan 11 Gammas each, in multiple sizes, right in front of customers who had been waiting all night. To stand in the cold for hours, be among the first customers, and then be told there are no shoes -- while watching others walk in and buy multiple pairs -- felt like a slap in the face. It was humiliating and incredibly disrespectful. We are frequent Shoe Palace customers, and this experience has genuinely made us question whether we want to continue supporting a company that allows this type of behavior. Many people in that line were upset and disappointed, and rightfully so. If management and staff intended to operate this way, it should have been done before the store opened, not openly and blatantly in front of loyal customers who followed the rules. What happened was unethical, unprofessional, and damaging to your brand. I sincerely hope corporate leadership takes this complaint seriously and investigates the actions of the staff and management at this location. Customers deserve fairness, transparency, and respect -- especially those who show loyalty and dedication. You also had people in line holding a place for themself and bringing 6 others right before store opened and random people walking around the parking lot up to no good. Security guard James was great but you probably should have had more security with such a big shoe release. We really expected better from Shoe Palace. For future drops like this past weekend do not come to this store you will miss out on the shoe drop. read more

Me my friends, my neighborhood, and my family always come here for the new Jordan releases or shoes for the kids. And all of us have had problems with the same employee/manager by the name of Jesus. I believe he is a Manager just based of the fact of his age and he's always on the register and giving directions to the younger looking ladies. I've never had a problem with any other worker its always a quick and easy purchase when me or my people are there, but for some reason Jesus can never find us a shoe at a different location because he needs the physical shoe in hand or if they don't have the specific shoe or item he can't search it up, which is a lie because a young lady and 2 of the other male workers there helped us before look for a shoe that The Macarthur location or Emeryville had. I've decided to write this yelp review till now because leaving the store after a bad time shopping there, another customer inside the store agreed and put Jesus in his place not believing the nonsense and attitude he gave me for asking for a shoe, this needs to be fixed because it's not just one of us having issues with this manager/employee. read more

I just left out of here. August 18 2023 6:30 pm. They tried to sell me two left shoes. They were laughing walking out the back of the store which made me ask to check the box. The guy holding the box told me it was store policy to only let customer hold one shoe. He pet me take a look in the box and i noticed it was both shoes that were on display when i walked in which were two left shoes. I will never shop at another shoe palace period. The customer service of this Shoe Palace outshines all the others! My boyfriend and I had a pretty bad experience at the Shoe Palace on Telegraph in Oakland recently and decided to go to this Shoe Palace. We saw IMMEDIATE differences: all the staff with smiles, greeting everyone warmly as soon as they walk through the doors. Literally every single employee was associating with a customer or was diligently restocking items. The store manager (I'm so upset I forgot his name) was such a gentleman and VERY enthusiastic. You can tell he really likes to lead and train the staff he has there. We went to do a return and the manager checked the shoes and saw that there weren't any problems and gave us our refund within a minute (we avoided the Telegraph location because of a problem with our return. Check that story on the review I'll leave on their yelp page). This location is definitely focusing on the ultimate customer service experience and as a customer service manager myself, I love it, admire it and took some techniques they use in the store to implement with my own staff. I will definitely come to this Shoe Palace instead for my shoe needs :) read more

Horrible experience today!! I went in to get a raffle ticket and the district manager( can't remember his name ? ) was the one giving the tickets out. He was super rude and on the phone the whole time. On top of that when I was heading out the store he started screaming at a worker . A young girl that was probably 17? 18? Yelling at her for not greeting a customer and asking her what is wrong with her why isn't she doing her job? Did I said asking ? No screaming!! Bullying her. Poor girl almost cried . The manager I believe her name is Cynthia ? Was just there not defending the poor girl or having her back .. That was a horrible scenario. Trailed me all around the store as i looked im guessing bc they wanted the sale had I decided to buy something but did not speak or say hello not once. I found that a little rude. On top of that the selection is super trash, there really isnt much of a selection. Overall the experience was dead. A shoe store should be more lively.
