I didn't really feel like going far or a lot of other shoppers in the store, crowed.. just too much social anxiety. So I found this very cute aesthetic pleasing " nurse shoe store " I call it online. I called and spoke to Victor on the phone, he's the OWNER!!! Super cool chill guy...great vibes - I loved his vibe in fact. He told me what they had in store and what most Nurses go for but he had exactly what I needed. I came on by, he brought out sooooo many different brands for me to try on and even different styles in the different brands. He took his time with me, he was not rushed. Didn't mind helping me actually find a great shoe that worked for me, he even let me try on each and every one of them, measured them for me to make sure they were a great fit... There was me and another customer in the store and also another store associate I believe name Andrew!!! Everyone was super chill, it was definitely vibes. We all talked about shoes and the shoes we were looking into and I felt so comfortable. I really want everyone to come check out this store!!!! It's so hard to find a shoe store that FOCUS on COMFORTABILITY rather than TRENDY!!! And idk about you, but I'm getting up there in age and being comfortable means more to me than anything!!!! Also, just love supporting local and niche/specialty shops like RR! Victor is a hardworking, transparent, and highly responsive store owner. It's very evident that he is not only knowledgeable in shoes that he sells but is also an avid and passionate runner himself! I myself am trying to get started in more running for cardio after being impacted by long covid for the past half year since the other types of cardio are a bit too intense for me now. Not only does this place have a great selection of shoes, it also has a running club, community events, PT service, and a recovery room. The staff is great and knowledgeable, and I like that the space has an open community feel. I was so hyped to finally have a reason to go into this extremely cool-looking store. I recently took up running after having a baby and was hoping to get some expert advice on the perfect shoes for pavement running. They have treadmills in the front windows so I got my hopes up they'd do some gait analysis and really break it down for me. What I experienced was ... not that, though. But also not unpleasant. The person who helped me out was happy to grab different shoes in different sizes (with a few false starts where they grabbed men's sizes accidentally) but really didn't have a ton of input otherwise. I had previously stalked their Instagram and knew they're super into community and group runs and whatnot, but no one mentioned any of that to me, either. Which, I kinda get -- I probably look like a lame mom, not a cool runner (yet??). So; long story short, I chose some gorgeous new Nikes that feel incredible, and cost more than I've ever paid for any shoes ($170)--but they motivate me to get out there even more often. I had the best experience at this cute running store. I was assisted right away and several options of shoes were provided to me. I told the staff what was wrong and why I was looking for new shoes (pregnant, feet are swollen, and severe pain in the heels-that has been going on for a few years). The staff showed me some shoes and informed me of what shoes had the best cushioning and support for heel pain. They also told me the prices up front so if I wasn't comfortable with it, they would understand. I had a great experience overall. I would 12/10 recommend this running shop to others. If you want to be assisted by experienced runners who know their shoes, this is the place to go. After I got my shoes I told my husband we should go back and he should try on the shoes I got as well. I love this store! I've been there to buy shoes twice and also dropped by for a community run they do every Sunday. Each time I've been here, the customer experience has been beyond wonderful. Ellis helped walk me through many shoe options best fit for my needs on both occasions and helpfully explained the differences between the shoes, what they do, and guided me through the decision making. I stumbled upon this store with my bf one day, and was so happy to see all the exclusive brands they carry. It's definitely more of a running boutique which I appreciate. I want what's unique and special- not basic. This is not a basic store. I went in today and bought some shorts and shoes. I went to Renegade Running to get fitted for new shoes. I have tried running before and wanted to try again with the right gear to prevent injury. I had a great experience here. I found Renegade Running on Yelp after looking for local running stores. I've been wanting to pick up running as a form of cardio/conditioning for my weight lifting training, but have avoided it because my feet are trash if I wear anything that is not a squat shoe, Vans, or Birks. Walked in, the employee was wearing a mask and he carefully asked me for my concerns and my training style. After letting him know about my trash soles, he came out with 5-6 pairs of shoes. I tried on over 10 pairs of shoes to finally land on the first pair I tried on - Brooks Ghosts. A few hours after getting the pair, I hit the pavement and hit a PR! I haven't ran a sub-11 minute mile since high school! Heck, I haven't ran more than 1 mile in months because of the pain I developed. I used to have to foam roll my feet and I would be sore for days while I recovered. One pair of shoes changed all that and I was able to run for 2 miles straight, no pain in my soles!! I can't wait to continue running in my new shoes and adding mileage to them. I'm so excited to finally have a pair of shoes that allows me to pursue running and doesn't cause debilitating pain (other than the soreness in my quads and hammies). Wow, even if you're not big into running and you just need some comfortable walking shoes around town or even on trails, this is a great spot to checkout. My friend is part of the running club which is a part of this store Renegade Running and she recommended I checkout their shoes and see which one fits best versus buying a ton online. Victor and his other employee I forgot his name were super informative and educated me on all the different brands, styles and purposes of each shoe. I was interested in Hokas and I was able to compare 6 different options based on the amount of cushion and stability it provided. These guys are more than happy to help you find a pair of shoes that you love. Don't be intimidated to try this store out even if you're not into running. They do have a treadmill to help you evaluate your stride in the shoes you try on. Everyone needs a good pair of walking shoes and these can do both - walking and jogging/running. I ended loving my Hokas so much I walked out of the store with them on after purchasing and retired my APLs in the box my new shoes came in. Thank you Victor and team for an amazing store experience. Now that Summer is here I decided to get some sturdy walking/running shoes. I did my research online and found the appropriate shoes and the local retail shop. This was the best find ever. I arrived around the time Renegade Running opened for the day and found convenient street parking nearby. Victor welcomed us and listened carefully as I described my needs. He the proceeded to provide me with several alternative models and was able to discuss the pros and cons of each model. Throughout my interaction with Victor, he was friendly , patient, engaged and extremely knowledgeable. I was thinking, since this was a nice store in a prime location, the prices will be high; not the case. All prices seemed reasonable and comparable to other stores. But I write this because of the service. After buying some awesome shoes and putting several miles in them, they didn't work for me. I spoke with the owner, Victor, by phone and he told me to come in to try to find the right shoe for me. I arrived and he worked with me and worked with me to find the right fit. He didn't have to, but he did and I appreciate it greatly. For context, I'm not a seasoned runner, it's just something I picked up at the start of quarantine this year. I run around the lake so mostly on pavement and have ordered perhaps 5-6 different kinds of running shoes online this year all highly reviewed and supposedly good for the type of running style I have. None of them worked out. After another very frustrating online shoe return I decided to try this place out and went in on a Tuesday night. The person in the shop was SO helpful and kind. We talked about the type of running I was doing, for how long, what kinds of shoes I have liked and the ones I've hated. After about 4-5 different pairs we tried on he pulled a brand I hadn't ever heard of and I loved them! It's now been a week on my new shoes and I'm so happy with them. I was a bit nervous to try to buy shoes at a running store when I'm so new to running but this place and the staff member were just great.
