I went to Beck's in search of a shoe with a good arch for my old, flat feet. At the time I arrived at Beck's, there was only one salesman on the floor and he was helping another customer. He acknowledged me and as the other customer was trying on shoes, he asked me what I was looking for. After finding a couple of different pairs of shoes, he showed me points about the shoes that were important and produced more shoes to try on. I ended up with two entirely different pairs that felt and looked great. I also purchased some foot cream & Epson salt soaking crystals for my banged up feet. I am very pleased with the comfort and practicality of these shoes and the service was outstanding. Lots of free parking right outside the store, too. read more

Best customer service! Came in to check out the latest insoles on the market (yeah, I said that and I not embarrassed) because they are a game changer. Beck's has super feet which is our family's brand of choice but they recently discontinued the favorite. The woman who helped us was super knowledgeable and showed us the comp product in all the available brands. They have a great selection of shoes as well (not so many safety shoes for women but they are working on that). This is a great store to get your insoles, work shoes, running shoes and fun socks. After a quick laugh, she treated me with such kindness and attention over the next 45 min. I never felt rushed or neglected as she helped 2-3 other customers simultaneously. I was in search of something very specific. I was told by the podiatrist that I need to wear a boot on my right foot for a month. Possible stress fracture due to my bunion. I was looking online for a couple of days and was defeated. I needed a slide shoe to wear at home. It had to have some height to it to match the height of the boot on the right foot and arch support. When I entered Beck's in San Lorenzo there was a wide selection of all types of arch support shoes for women. Not only that I was also greeted by Brandon an exemplary sales associate. He offered the kids mint candies while waiting. He had a friendly, upbeat, positive personality which was something I needed after having to struggle with my foot problem and search for the perfect shoe. I handed Brandon examples of what I was looking for and narrowed it down to the Dansko Kandi Adjustable Slide Sandal. He measured my feet and discussed my options in sizing based on my wide width and arch support. He came out with all the color options he had in that specific style and even encouraged me to step outside my comfort box and to try on bright colored shoes. He reminded me it was my lucky day to have all the colors available to try in the Dansko slide I had picked. But I was SO SAD when I went there today to buy another pair of Keen Whispers sandals, which I live in all summer. These are great shoes and very popular, so comfortable! Boo, they only had ONE PAIR in a color I wasn't interested in. Beck's management this is ridiculous! Don't we Haywardians rate? Why doesn't Beck carry a better selection of outdoor/walking sandals like Keen Whispers? Brandon Kiel did a great job trying to help me, but he doesn't control the inventory. My podiatrist had recommended that I get measured for shoes and he suggested I go to Beck's. I'm glad I did. I needed a different size. I'm a New Balance fan, and tried on a couple of pair and got my longtime favorite 990 in the correct size... and wore them out the door! On the advice of a friend of mine. I visited Beck's Shoe Store today in San Lorenzo. I've had chronic knee problems for years, my friend recommended that I try a pair of Hoka Shoes. I was very pleasantly surprised by the shoes but more surprised by the excellent customer service that I received from the store manager Melissa. She invited me to use their foot scanner which showed the pressure points on my feet and that 62% of my weight was being distributed on my right side. She recommended a pair of insols to help me correct this problem. With the insols we rescanned my feet and it showed a 50/50 weight distribution. These insoles are game changers. My knees instantly felt better. I purchased the insoles and the Hoka Shoes. I want to thank Melissa and Becks Shoes for the excellent customer service and customer experience! read more

2-9-2019 The 5starz & this review goes to Cheyenne If it was not for her and the customer service I received I wouldn't have made a purchase at Beck's even tho I had a $85.00 voucher.... For starters Cheyenne was with another customer when I walked in. A taller gentleman that worked there and a lady was at the counter. I quickly seen what I wanted but was not acknowledge by the two at the counter at all. It was not until Cheyenne was walking to the storage room to get the customer she was helping a pair of shoes. She kindly asked if I had been helped, I replied no but I've been here for a while, she answered I be right with you. Other people came in after me and the two at the counter quickly assisted them. Cheyenne came over after she finished with her customer. She seen the frustration in my face and apologized for the wait...I told her it was not her fault has I glanced at the two that stayed at the counter. Turns out they didn't have my size but Cheyenne ordered me the ones I wanted from another store.
