Waiting half an hour for a tailor who is literally 10 feet away from the fitting rooms, checkout always has long lines with slow service. Need a real Nordstrom. I've been so many other locations and this one is pretty OK. Not a lot of of things in here either and kind of messy over. Parking is OK usually you can find out. Then we discovered Nordstrom Rack! This was my go to place 10+ years ago when I cared about brand names... Good brand names at very affordable prices. Now if you are following, I just have too much clothes, mostly from Costco Clearance. Buying stuff I sure do NOT need, but because it's so cheap, it's almost an addiction. The bad thing about these types of discount stores is the random inventory. Not just in merchandise but also in sizes. Atmosphere - Warehouse style shopping. No thrills. High security, crime has continued to increase in this area over the years; stay safe. Plenty of mall parking. Oh, you also need a code to use the bathroom now, see picture. Open 7 days a week from 10am or 11am to 7pm or 8pm; see picture, Yelp, or website. Service - Good. Price - Depends on what you buy. The items they have for sale are mediocre at best and the liens are always excessive and slow. Staff is nice but super slow and ineffective. Store sale items aren't real nice quality either. Always note that if it's marked clearance it's from a Nordstrom store otherwise it is made specifically for Rack. Parking is bad and dangerous here. read more

Came here to return items ordered on line. There are arrows on the floor providing directions on how to navigate yourself in the store lol. The store seems rather "empty" not too much of an inventory available to walk in shoppers. I returned my items, process was fast and easy, cashiers were friendly, parking was also easily accessible. read more

Every time I visit and must use their restrooms it's ALWAYS EXTREMELY UNSANITARY. I visit several Nordstrom Rack around the Bay Area, the San Leandro store bathrooms are a mess. I am in the store now and I have been followed by every employee I was standing in line and heard the manager say watch out for that girl. I am 41 years old and do not steal at all I do look young but the audacity of everyone especially the black people as I am black as well to do this to someone just shopping is insane during Juneteenth. You all need to do better! As I was paying for my stuff they sent a woman security guard to stand by me I am completely appalled at every single employee except for the young person stocking the checkbook line shelves they were the only nice person. I used to love stopping by here. You could always find a really good deal on some high-end clothing that was being cleared out by Nordy's. I once got a beautiful $2,500 designer suite for a little over $500. Or when I snagged a terrific $500 BOSS jacket for $150. Was just back in though and, at least for men, it is all low-end brands now that are an absolute mess to try to search through. The prices are also no longer a deal for what you get. It seams like Nordstrom has just turned the outlet into their version of a Ross store. Probably better off going to Kohls or looking around at thrift stores honestly. read more

Nordstrom rack always has great value, a ton of selection and the customer service is pretty good for San Francisco standards. Their stores always have a good variety of makeup clothes shoes and house goods and other miscellaneous things. I don't think I've ever walked into a Nordstrom rack without finding something that I want to buy and it's usually relatively affordable. My only complaint is that a lot of the brands that they sell regularly seem to be of a lesser quality than the ones that are sold at full store in Nordstrom but I guess that's to be expected they are half the price. read more

Now the fun starts. 10/25 - My new jeans arrived from an online Nordstrom Rack purchase. 10/28 - Stopped by to have alterations. The regular tailor is not there. She's on leave for a few weeks. The tailor is a man. Upon measurements, it looks fine with a front breaks. Promised by 10/31. 11/01 - Not ready. Lam the manager apologizes and offers to take them to the Stoneridge Nordstrom store, have hemmed and returned today. I tell her it's not necessary. A very nice gesture. I received a refund for the alterations. I'll be back tomorrow. 11/02 - Pick up the jeans and received another apology. No problem. I do not try them on at the store. 11/06 - I put a pair on at home and they are still two inches long. The other pair are fine. Now I am becoming irritated. 11/11 - I bring them back to the store and ask to see the tailor. I explain what has happened. The tailor tells me that I looked at the pants when he measured them and I approved. I explain that the pants were hemmed at the Stoneridge stores and altered incorrectly. I told him it WAS NOT HIS FAULT, that whoever HEMMED THEM AT STONERIDGE MADE A MISTAKE. Now Peter, or whatever manager comes over and I retell my story. We remeasure my jeans for a front break. I'M NOT UPSET, YET. The manager tells me that jeans should have no break. Now I am getting sarcastic. Excuse me. First off, these are my pants I paid $100 online. Two, I have 9 pairs of 7 For All Mankind and paid as much as $250 for a pair. Thirdly, I want a front break, because when these go to the dry cleaners, over time it will shrink in length about 1/2 inch. The manager suggests that jeans should have no break. EXCUSE ME. I want the option to wear them down with boots or roll them up with sneakers. DO NOT TELL ME HOW TO DRESS. I've buy GQ each month! Almost questioned his choice of COSTUME he was wearing, however I refrained. Wanted to mention I am a Level 3 Reward Note customer, having spent over $5000 this year so far. Nope, ready to move on, ALMOST. Now I'm getting cynical. The manager leaves and the tailor still won't let it go! DUDE, I AM NOT BLAMING YOU! You very well measured them correctly the first time and I approved the length. Between not getting the work on here on the day promised, WHICH I DO BLAME YOU, having the jeans taken to the Stoneridge tailor of have them altered, somehow, someway, the chalk measurements got messed up. The manager returns. I ask simply, TELL THE TAILOR TO LET IT GO. IT WAS NOT HIS FAULT. However, IT WAS HIS FAULT HE DID NOT GET THE JOB DONE BY 10/31 and it is his FAULT FOR GETTING IN MY FACE. I asked for a receipt. At first THE TAILOR DID NOT WANT TO GIVE ME A RECEIPT. I explained I was NOT GOING TO PAY FOR IT. I did received a receipt. Now I'm just dumbfounded. 11/12 - I pick them up today. Same manager is the that gave me the FASHION TIP. He's wearing the SAME COSTUME as before. LOL! No, I'm not trying them on now. I WILL NEVER go to this store again for ALTERATIONS until that nice and skilled woman tailor returns. A comedy of errors. I tried the jeans on just now and they FIT PERFECTLY! Now, I'm happy. So this is a late post but I have time and I wanted to share my experience. Store was extremely dirty, employees except one were all rude and unknowledgeable about store policy etc. I waited in line and I had a return with my receipt from Nordstroms in Walnut Creek (I called before hand to see if I can return it there so I didn't have to drive all the way to Walnut Creek and the lady said yes as long as you have you receipt) The cashier didn't know what she was doing and grab a manager. It took an additional 20 minutes for me to finally be assisted by the manager. And now this is crazy. The manager started to process my return and she said she was doing me a favor to take the return because it was against their policy and only offered me less then half of what I paid for in Nordstroms in Walnut Creek... What?!?!?!? I explained and showed I have a RECEIPT and it was like a week later unworn with all the tags still on and it is a pair of 500 dollar shoes and your saying you can give me 181 dollars. Whatttt?!?!?!?!?!? I politely declined and said I will go back and just return to Walnut Creek. This is insane. read more

This is the cleanest Nordy's Rack that I've ever seen. Although that was the case, I did find one pair of pants that barely fit, so it was a no. And the selection of pants was sparse, but to wade through a store and not have to walk over mountains of clothing and accessories on the floor was quite a relief. read more

Sometimes I come here to shop for work clothes and find some random gems that I'm not even looking for. The concept of this store is ok but it can be cleaner and more organized. I find when I'm shopping, there are lots of clothes on the floor and wrong size categories in the racks. From the staff that I've encountered, they have been really nice but I have overheard some inappropriate side (but loud) conversations from employees. I don't come here as often as I should but every time I do, I find things I didn't know I needed. Always get it if you see it because chances are, it won't be there again. I lucked up my last two visits and found some heels at a very affordable price. The staff is super helpful! I needed to get my son sized and was able to be assisted so we can make sure we're ordering the proper size. I went as soon as they opened to ensure I'd be helped w/o feeling rushed. The store can be a tad bit messy depending on the time of day but I feel that comes from the shoppers not putting things back, knocking stuff down and leaving it there, not necessarily the employees. I never understood why folks bring their dogs inside clothing stores but you'll see people do that in here and I'm not a fan. This is exactly what this area needed! What a great addition to the established big box stores already planted in this area. I took a quick dip into the store during my lunch break during the grand opening. Although it was quite busy, the staff was very prepared. The sales floor was dusted with helpful sales associates in fluorescent green shirts. Also, to assist with the high volume of purchases islands of checkout counters were scattered throughout. I was able to score 2 sundresses for less than $40 combined! I didn't have my Nordstrom debit card on my so the cashier cheerfully assisted in looking up my account number number. I will certainly be back! I can't wait to visit when I have more time to scour the shoe racks. read more

After a 20 minute drive here I was eager to shop at Nordstrom Rack. I spent about an hour picking out what I wanted to try on then headed over to the dressing room. I was told I was not allowed in the dressing area as it was closed and would not be open for another three hours. I then asked to use the restroom and was told it was around the corner but when I went there one needed a passcode to enter. The sales people did not tell me that and I had to walk back to get the code. So I just left the store and all the clothes I possibly wanted to buy and I'm headed to another store. Hello, I bought the Shimera "petals". I rarely ever write reviews but these petals are dangerous and improperly manufactured. The "petals" I bought physically ripped my skin off. Four days ago I wore this product and when I removed them, moments later a large blister appeared on my chest along with a lingering and painful burning sensation. Days later the blister opened, leaving an open wound on my chest which felt inflamed as my shirts rubbed against it. I have been left with what appears to be and feels like a burn mark on my chest that itches and stings throughout the day. I have been applying scar treatment lotion to my chest, but it will most likely scar my skin, due to the delicate placement of the burn mark on my breast and the severity of skin that was ripped off. The picture of the wound is from four days after wearing the product. What was once an open and deep burn mark is now closing up and forming a red ring around it that is very uncomfortable and irritated. Is "Shimera" a Nordstrom company? If so something needs to change. I am disappointed with Nordstrom for selling this product. read more

With both of SF's Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack locations closed down now, this is pretty much the main Nordstrom option if you live in the Berkeley/Oakland area and it's a downgrade. I decided to drop by here in the mid afternoon to look for jeans and the basic shirts that I love getting from Nordstrom and to maybe get a head start on some Christmas shopping for next month, but really couldn't find much that I liked. The store and its items are disorganized and messy, not to mention the sales clerks/staff are pretty rude to everyone. I think I will stick to going to their website when I want to make a purchase or give a different location a try. read more

This rack is TERRIBLE. Twice they have incorrectly processed my pickup orders and processed items as picked up that were not been picked up. The associates are careless, I cannot understand why they don't verify your order and the items BEFORE they process it. The first time I got stuck with a charge that I had to fight with customer service for weeks to have removed. I don't shop at this location because of poor customer service experiences in the past but now I won't even bother having items sent here for pickup since they can't even be trusted with that. I'd much rather sit in traffic in the Caldecott tunnel and go to Walnut Creek Nordstrom than deal with this mess again. read more

My girlfriend turned me onto this place but I LOVE THIS PLACE. They have tons of quality clothes and brand names that are basically 50% off. I searched a lot of their stuff on the internet and the price they said they took off the retail wasn't exactly true because a lot of their inventory is on sale anyways everywhere but it is most times than not lower than any price you can find anywhere online plus you get to try all this stuff on and see how you like it. I got a pair of high top fresh looking vans for only like 30$ which was an absolute steal and a pair of Nike running shoes that I would probably pay 100$ for for only 60$, they were Nike Lunarglide 9s. I also got a really nice looking pair of Clark's that usually retail for 120$(what I bought my last pair for) for only 70$. Overall I was extremely happy with all my purchases and sure it takes awhile to find the right clothes and it still isn't thrift store prices but everything is brand new and very very nice. Also shout out to this black woman named Adraina (hope I am spelling that right), she saw me holding five pairs of shoes that I wanted to show my girlfriend and also so no one else would steal. The shoes were stacked so high I looked ridiculous and it was falling over so she offered to get me a cart while she was giggling at me attempting to walk around looking at more shoes. read more

We were invited to their private event today.....This is located near the Ulta store......grand opening is on Thursday.... As we entered, there were many folks there to welcome us. They hired a catering company to serve us champagne, sodas and water. With that came little oven snacks. Very cool. Sodas were expired, tasted funny. The store itself is just like any other. There are already clearance racks. They had so many customer service folks asking if we needed help on anything, everything was in nice order, if you bought today on their card it is automatically 3x points, which was good for us.... read more

I just came from Nordstrom racks in Emeryville and I was sooo insulted! I was trying to buy some boots and as soon as I went to the women's shoe department 2 security officers stood and watched me try on shoes the whole entire time I was shopping they never walked around the store to watch other customers but they stood there and watched me the ENTIRE TIME!
