Either way, the woman quickly responded quite rudely that she couldn't take our dry cleaning due to something about it mixing with other customers' clothing (???) and then quickly moved on to the next customer. Wow. What an awful experience that I'm surprised to have gotten. Maybe something else is going on with this lady mentally? I don't know, but I felt the need to give a quick heads up to other potentially new customers. Based on how humiliated and unvalued I felt during my visit, not just as a potential customer but as a fellow human, I will, of course, never return to this dry cleaner. UPDATE: Just returned from Puritan Cleaners! FANTASTIC place so far! No problem with taking our dry cleaning and it will be ready by tomorrow!!! For 2 short s& 3 blouses, I paid $23 total. The Black-owned family establishment offers friendly, fast, and high-quality service. I dropped my items off on a Tuesday afternoon and they were ready two days later. I will return, though I noticed that their daily specials have been reduced quite a bit when compared to earlier former promotions (i.e. 5% off for shirts on Tuesdays and pants on Wednesdays, when before it was a 20% discount...). Be sure to bring your invoice at pick-up to ensure a smooth process.
