They aren't nearly as good as they used to be. Their selections for unusual sizes (esp. wide…read morewidths) have shrunk drastically, and run very, very expensive. The staff make an effort, but are all too likely to give up after two or three tries...or try to convince you to buy something that isn't quite right and/or isn't what you wanted. This is a serious problem, as I have "difficult feet" and there just isn't any other place within a reasonable distance that I have any chance of finding what I need.

Then I went to the "other side" of the store, Solely Comfort, and got two comfortable and attractive ladies shoes, also in widths, that I love too, and ordered more! The employees both times were knowledgeable, kind, and helpful. Their prices are in line with the good shoe quality, and service is the best I've had in any shoe store ever. He gave me the proper fit (which it is quite rare to find a place to fit you, most boot stores are self-service) & told me the history of lucchese. They are basically the Cadillac of western boots; handmade in Texas nothing beats the quality of the leather. Dana also does boot repairs & resoling. As well as Birkinstock resoles. He really is the master of shoes. Customer service is excellent & the employees only learn from the best since Dana has owned & operated several boot stores in his lifetime. I recommend buying work, duty, & western boots here. I mean, where else would you be properly fitted & chatted with all while enjoying complimentary coffee/tea/water & relaxing in large, leather chairs?
